Chapter 57 Preparation

Meanwhile, preparations for the transportation were in full swing. Chen Yu, along with several young and strong villagers, was inspecting the transport vehicles. These vehicles, arranged by outsiders, looked relatively new, but Chen Yu was still uneasy. He climbed under a truck, carefully checking the tires, brakes, and other critical parts. "Everyone be careful. This transportation can't have any problems. All our hard work is in these vehicles," Chen Yu's voice came from under the truck, tinged with seriousness. His face was covered in oil, but his eyes were focused, not overlooking any potential issues.

A young villager was inspecting the cargo platform of a vehicle. He tapped it with his hand and said to Chen Yu, "Brother Yu, this cargo platform seems a bit thin. Won't it be able to support so many new crops?" His eyes revealed worry, and his brows were furrowed.

Chen Yu crawled out from under the truck, dusted himself off, and walked to the cargo platform to examine it carefully. "Hmm, you're right, it needs reinforcement. Let's find some planks to thicken the cargo platform." He made a quick decision and immediately led several villagers to find planks. They found some old, worn planks in the village warehouse; although somewhat dilapidated, they could still be used after some simple processing. Chen Yu picked up a saw and began sawing the planks. His movements were powerful and precise, each cut sending up sawdust. "Everyone, make sure the planks are nailed securely, don't leave any gaps, otherwise the new crops will easily fall through," Chen Yu instructed the villagers as he sawed.

With everyone's combined efforts, the vehicles were finally inspected and reinforced. Lin Yue looked at the packaged new crops and the ready-to-go transport vehicles, and breathed a sigh of relief. But she knew this was just the beginning of the business operation, and many challenges awaited them. She walked to the village chief and said, "Village chief, the packaging and transportation are almost ready, but I'm still a little worried. The journey won't be smooth sailing, and we need to be prepared for all sorts of unexpected situations." A hint of worry appeared in her eyes, and her brows furrowed slightly.

The village chief nodded and patted Lin Yue on the shoulder: "You're right, Lin Yue. This is a major event for our village, and we can't be careless in the slightest. Tell me your thoughts, and we'll discuss it together." The village chief's eyes were firm; he believed that as long as everyone was united, no difficulty was insurmountable.

Lin Yue thought for a moment and said, "We need to prepare some spare packaging materials and tools so that we can handle it promptly if the packaging gets damaged or needs to be repackaged on the road. Also, we should have the drivers in the transport team bring some commonly used repair tools in case the vehicles break down on the road." Her eyes revealed a kind of foresight and wisdom; every suggestion was well thought out.

The village chief immediately arranged for people to prepare spare materials and tools, and at the same time conveyed Lin Yue's suggestion to the transport team drivers. The transport team drivers praised Lin Yue's thoughtfulness, and they also knew that this transport was of great importance and could not afford any mistakes.

As the sun gradually set, the villagers, who had been busy all day, finally completed most of the preparations. The new crops were already packaged and neatly stacked next to the transport vehicles, like soldiers awaiting battle. The villagers sat around in the square, exhausted, but their eyes were full of hope. Lin Yue looked at everyone, a warm feeling welling up in her heart. She knew that this was the result of everyone's joint efforts; every villager had contributed their heart and soul to the future of the village.

"Fellow villagers, you've all worked hard today! Our preparations have been excellent, but this is only the first step. There's still transportation and sales to come, so let's all work together to make our new crops shine in the outside world, bringing wealth and honor to our village!" Lin Yue stood up and spoke loudly, her clear and resonant voice echoing across the square. The villagers responded enthusiastically, cheers and applause mingling together, as if playing a victory symphony.

On this hopeful night, the village was immersed in an atmosphere of both tension and excitement. The villagers drifted off to sleep with anticipation for the future, knowing that tomorrow would bring new challenges, but they were ready to take firm steps towards a brighter future.
