Chapter 59 First Taste - Business Success

The morning sun shone on the city streets, bringing a touch of warmth and hope to this bustling world. Lin Yue stood in front of her stall at the agricultural products market, gazing at the neatly arranged new crops. Her eyes shone with a complex mix of emotions: tension, anticipation, and above all, a do-or-die determination. She hadn't slept a wink all night, her mind replaying the hardships and obstacles encountered during transportation and the fierce competition she faced in the sales process. These images flashed before her eyes like a slideshow, leaving her unsettled.

Lin Yue wore a simple blue cotton dress, specially prepared for this business operation. Although lacking elaborate decorations, it was clean and neat, highlighting her competence. Her hair was styled in a bun, with a few stray strands falling down, slightly damp with sweat. Her face looked slightly tired, but her eyes were exceptionally bright, like stars twinkling in the night sky. She gently bit her lip, her hands unconsciously clenching, silently praying for a successful day's sales.

Chen Yu was arranging the display samples of the new crops, his movements steady and powerful. He knew Lin Yue was under a lot of pressure, and as her partner and comrade-in-arms, he wanted to share her burden at this crucial moment. Chen Yu wore a white short-sleeved shirt, the outline of his muscles faintly visible beneath, highlighting his robust physique. His face was tanned a healthy wheat color by the sun, and his deep eyes shone with determination and confidence. He glanced at Lin Yue from time to time, his eyes filled with encouragement and comfort, as if to tell her, "Don't be afraid, I'm here for you."

Mr. Zhao arrived at the market early, dressed in a sharp suit and his shoes gleaming. A confident smile graced his face, but his slightly furrowed brow betrayed his nervousness. He knew the success or failure of this sale was crucial to the entire cooperative project; failure would not only render his initial investment worthless but also jeopardize his long-term partnership with the village. He paced back and forth in front of his stall, meticulously checking every detail to ensure nothing was overlooked.

As the market gradually bustled, crowds began to pour in. Lin Yue took a deep breath, forcing a confident smile onto her face. She picked up a small bag of new crops and began introducing them to passing merchants: "Dear customers, come and see our new crops! These are precious medicinal plants, of superior quality and with remarkable effects." Her clear and loud voice stood out in the noisy market. Her eyes revealed sincerity and enthusiasm, and every movement was infectious, attempting to attract the attention of the merchants.

A middle-aged businessman, drawn by Lin Yue's introduction, approached. He wore a dark jacket and had a shrewd look in his eyes. He picked up the new crop, examined it carefully, and asked, "Is this really as good as you say? There are quite a few similar products on the market now." His tone was skeptical, and his eyebrows were slightly raised.

Lin Yue smiled and replied, "Boss, our new crop has undergone professional testing, and its medicinal value is much higher than other similar products. Look at its color and texture—it's top-notch." As she spoke, she picked up the new crop to show the customer, her eyes brimming with confidence. Her heart was racing; she knew this was a potential customer, and she had to seize this opportunity.

The middle-aged merchant nodded slightly after hearing Lin Yue's words, but still hesitated. "How about the price? If the price is too high, it won't sell well." He looked at Lin Yue, his eyes revealing his sensitivity to price.

At this moment, Boss Zhao walked over, smiling, and said, "Boss, our prices are absolutely reasonable, and there are discounts for bulk orders. As you know, good things aren't cheap, and cheap things aren't good. The quality of our new crop speaks for itself; the price-performance ratio is very high." His tone was friendly and confident, and his eyes gleamed with the unique shrewdness of a businessman. He handed the customer a price list, which detailed the prices corresponding to different purchase quantities.

The middle-aged businessman glanced at the price list, pondered for a moment, and said, "It's still a bit high. Can you lower the price a bit?" His eyes revealed a hint of expectation, hoping to negotiate a better price.

Lin Yue and Boss Zhao exchanged a glance. Lin Yue frowned slightly; she knew this price was already carefully considered, and further reductions would squeeze their profit margins considerably. However, she didn't want to lose this customer easily, so she smiled and said, "Boss, this price is already very favorable. But seeing your sincerity, we can offer you a slight discount, though not a large one." A hint of helplessness flickered in her eyes, but she maintained her smile, attempting to close the deal.

After some haggling, the middle-aged merchant finally decided to purchase a small portion of the new crop to test the market reaction. Although Lin Yue and Boss Zhao were somewhat disappointed by the small purchase quantity, they were still happy to have reached the deal. They personally helped the merchant load the new crop onto the truck, and Lin Yue added, "Boss, you'll know how good our product is once you use it. If you need anything else, feel free to come back." Her eyes were full of anticipation, hoping that this batch of new crops would be well-received in the market.

As time went on, more and more merchants were drawn to their stalls. Some were attracted by the quality of the new crops, while others came after seeing other merchants making purchases. Lin Yue and Boss Zhao were extremely busy, constantly introducing the new crops to the merchants, answering their questions, and negotiating prices. Chen Yu also helped out, responsible for moving goods and maintaining order. Fine beads of sweat appeared on his forehead, but his eyes were full of energy.

A young medicinal herb buyer approached the stall. He was stylishly dressed, and his eyes shone with curiosity. "This is the new crop that's been all the rage lately? I've heard it has high medicinal value. Could you tell me more about it?" His tone was relaxed, brimming with the energy typical of young people.
