Chapter 120 Fairness

There was a person who leaped out from the other side of the wall, moving so fast that only a blur remained.

Shen Xiyin didn't even get a clear look at the other person's face.

Until he said, "Hey, Senior Brother Dazhuang, wait a minute!"

"Wait, wait."

He raised his hands in a gesture of surrender, and said with a grin, "We're on the same side, we're on the same side."

Shen Qiyin exclaimed in surprise, "The fourth day of the month?! What are you doing here?"

"Hey, hehe..." Chu Si scratched his head and explained, "I saw that you had just gone out, so I followed you to protect you."

"Then why don't you show yourself?"

"It was my young master who gave the order. He told his subordinates not to disturb you, so as not to ruin your plans."

At first, Chu Si didn't understand. He thought to himself, "What if Miss Shen doesn't know martial arts and encounters danger?"

After what he just witnessed, he finally understood his master's meaning. With Miss Shen's cunning and strength, whether she had martial arts skills or not wouldn't affect her ability to counterattack her enemies.

So he just stayed on the sidelines, observing from the shadows.

But unexpectedly...

Chu Si's eyes gleamed with curiosity, but he said with a grin, "Senior Brother Da Zhuang is really amazing. I even tried to conceal my aura, but you still managed to find out."

I'm afraid this person's martial arts skills are unfathomable.

I wonder if the young master knows that there is such a dangerous person by Miss Shen's side. It seems I should inform him soon.

Dazhuang didn't think much of it, only saying "Thank you for your kind offer" and nothing more.

He looked at Shen Qiyin and asked, "What do we do next?"

"I already have a plan, so you don't need to worry, senior brother. Just go back to the clinic and get busy."

Dazhuang, however, refused to leave.

Shen Qiyin then said, "It's really alright, Chu Si is here, don't worry." She was confident she could handle two unarmed bastards, let alone with Chu Si as her helper.

Having known her for many years, Dazhuang knew her personality well; she wasn't the kind of person who would act arrogantly or domineeringly. So he left as she suggested.

According to Shen Qiyin's original plan, she wanted to give the other half of the antidote to one of the remaining beggars and ask them to run an errand. But since Chu Si had come along, it would be safer to ask him for help, and it would save her the trouble of explaining to Xiao Yan later.

On the fourth day, upon hearing that he was still useful, he was so happy that he was practically bursting with joy, and he jumped up and down as he left.

Not long after he left, the beggar named "Yang Ba" returned.

Accompanying him was a young gentleman.

Shen Yaozu!

He had wanted to see with his own eyes the miserable state of Shen Qiyin being bullied and tortured by a group of beggars, so he specifically instructed Yang Ba to call him after the matter was settled. He didn't expect it to happen so quickly.

He rushed over with great joy, only to find that the scene before him was completely different from what he had expected.

“You…” He stared in astonishment at Shen Qiyin, who was unharmed.

She smiled broadly and said, "Second Brother is here."

Suddenly realizing something, Shen Yaozu turned sharply and glared at Yang Ba: "You stinking beggar, how dare you play tricks on me!"

As soon as he finished speaking, he collapsed.

Shen Qiyin casually tossed away the paper packet containing the sleeping pills, looking down at the unconscious Shen Yaozu with a serene gaze. There was no extreme hatred in her clear eyes.

There was only tranquility.

An almost numb calm.

Her past life experiences were enough for her to see the true colors of the Shen family, so she wouldn't be surprised no matter what they did.

She was neither sad nor grief-stricken, because she was prepared to retaliate in kind for whatever they wanted to do to her.

It's very fair.

Yang Ba leaned against the wall, secretly regretting that he shouldn't have earned that money.

He mustered his courage and asked, "Miss...now that I've brought the person to you, then...the poison on her body..."

"Oh." Shen Qiyin suddenly realized, as if she had just remembered, and handed him half a pill: "Here."

"Thank you, young lady, thank you, young lady." Yang Ba took it and hurriedly stuffed it into his mouth.

Then he fell to the ground with a "thud".

Shen Qiyin took out the real half of the antidote, threw it on the ground expressionlessly, and crushed it to pieces with her foot.

The symptoms of the poison look frightening, but it won't actually kill them. It just makes them feel weak and numb for a few days, and they'll recover once the effects of the drug wear off.

Just then, the fourth day of the lunar month also returned by car.

Following Shen Qiyin's instructions, he threw the men onto the carriage, but he was puzzled: "Miss, where are you taking them?"
