Chapter 6 Liking Monks

The monks' quarters in Jing'an Temple are extremely simple. Apart from a bed, two small tables and a futon, there is only a shelf against one wall filled with scriptures.

Shen Ruyin took a copy of the Buddha Mother Sutra to copy.

Shen Xiyin didn't take any scriptures; he just kept drawing turtles on paper.

Honeysuckle knelt beside her, resting her chin on her hands, blinking her bright black eyes, and asked curiously, "Miss, why are you drawing so many turtles?"

"This is not a turtle."

What is that?

"Turtle."

"..." Ren Dong had always regarded Shen Qi Yin as a fairy, and felt that whatever she said or did was right. Now, she rarely made a speechless expression towards her, which made Shen Qi Yin unable to hide her smile, her eyebrows and eyes as beautiful as a painting.

She explained earnestly, "A turtle's head is round, while a tortoise's head is pointed."

"Turtles have longer tails, while soft-shelled turtles have relatively shorter tails."

"Also, turtles have patterns on their shells, but tortoises don't."

After saying that, she held up the paper she had drawn all over with turtles and showed it to Ren Dong: "Pointed head, short tail, no patterns, so I drew a little turtle, not a tortoise."

She blinked silently twice, then pursed her lips and remained silent for a moment. The words that came out seemed to be spoken to Shen Qiyin, but also to herself.

"Yes, as long as you're happy, Miss."

Chen Xiyin chuckled silently.

She didn't tell Ren Dong that the turtles she drew all had names.

No more, no less, exactly ten.

Facing the ten members of the Shen family.

However, thinking of the thousand-year-old tortoise and the ten-thousand-year-old turtle, Shen Qiyin did not want them to live to be a hundred years old. So she crumpled up the paper she had just taken and took another one, and began to draw a tortoise with its lid upside down.

Distracted, she glanced at Shen Ruyin, who was already getting restless, but pretended not to notice and asked Ren Dong, "Ren Dong, do you want to learn to paint?"

Honeysuckle was an honest child; instead of answering, she asked, "What are you drawing? A turtle?"

"puff--"

Shen Qiyin covered her lips and smiled, her voice pleasing to the ear.

As the mistress and servant were talking, Shen Ruyin, who was sitting opposite them, suddenly stood up and said, "Second sister, I've been sitting for too long, and my neck is getting sore from looking down. I'll go for a walk and come back later."

Shen Qiyin gave a lukewarm "hmm".

No sooner had Shen Ruyin and her maid left than Ren Dong followed them out at Shen Qiyin's signal.

After about the time it takes to drink a cup of tea, Ren Dong returned and whispered something to Shen Qiyin. The two then left the dormitory together, their faces anxious and their steps hurried.

As Shen Qiyin walked, she asked Ren Dong, "Are you sure you didn't see wrong?"

"This servant saw it all clearly!"

"This matter must be kept absolutely secret, and no third person should know about it."

"yes."

"Hurry up..."

They headed straight towards the back of the mountain.

Madam Feng was still chanting scriptures when Feng Ruoying, feeling bored, chatted with her friends who had come with her outside the dormitory. She happened to see Shen Qiyin and Rendong.

Seeing the strange expressions on their faces, and faintly hearing Shen Qiyin say something like "Don't make a fuss, don't let anyone know," she immediately perked up.

If she had the secret of Shen Qiyin, would she still be afraid of not being able to control her?

With a cold smirk, Feng Ruoying excitedly said to the others, "Come on! I'll take you to see a show!"

As soon as he finished speaking, everyone responded.

Several young ladies tiptoed behind Shen Qiyin and her companions, heading towards the dense forest behind the mountain.

They were walking along a narrow, winding path, surrounded by wild grass and thorns, making it very secluded.

Feng Ruoying became increasingly certain that Shen Xiyin was hiding a secret; otherwise, why would she come to such a remote and eerie place? And how could she be so familiar with the environment? It was clear that this wasn't her first time here.

After turning a corner, the master and servant suddenly disappeared.

Feng Ruoying was anxious and was about to quicken her pace to search when she saw a small wooden house faintly visible in the bamboo forest not far away.

"They must be inside!" she pointed, her eyes lighting up.

The closer they got to that spot, the more careful Feng Ruoying and her group became, for fear of disturbing the people inside.

Once she reached the front of the house, Feng Ruoying couldn't wait and pushed open the tightly closed door.

The scene inside the room immediately came into view.

Two pale bodies were tightly entwined, their clothes and shoes scattered on the floor. They couldn't even wait to go to the bed; they started doing it right there at the table in the center of the room.

The group of young women who had not yet married were all surprised and embarrassed by such a hot scene. They let out a loud "Aww!" which startled a flock of birds in the forest.

Feng Ruoying did not call out.

She froze, staring blankly at the man who had been facing away from them but had now turned around, and called out in a daze, "Brother..."

Feng Heng was also stunned.

He never expected that such a remote and obscure place would be discovered.

And the person who came to him was his sister!

Perhaps he was too shocked, he was completely stunned, and inexplicably responded with a "...Eh".

The loud clang dispelled Feng Ruoying's suspicion that she was hallucinating.

Her body swayed, and her vision went black in waves.

When Feng Ruoying inadvertently caught sight of the gray monk's robe lying on the ground, she felt as if she had been struck by lightning.

Her brother not only had affairs with people in places like temples, but the person he had affairs with was actually a monk!

At this moment, Feng Ruoying's mind was filled with thoughts like: My brother likes monks, my brother likes monks, my brother likes monks...

The blow was so great that she couldn't stand up for a moment, and her legs gave way, causing her to fall to the ground.

Feng Heng originally thought that after the initial surprise, Feng Ruoying would leave quickly and then considerately close the door for him.

To everyone's surprise, his unfortunate sister not only refused to leave, but also sat down on the floor, blocking the door that could have been closed, blatantly exposing the scene inside the room to everyone.

He didn't care about saving face, but the draft from that door made his buttocks feel icy cold.
