Yun Qingran and Green Immortal spent some time cursing Jing Hongying together. It was getting late, so Yun Qingran said goodbye to Green Immortal, arranged to meet again the next day, and then went back to her room.
Back at her lodgings, she washed up, jumped onto the bed, sat cross-legged, lowered the bed curtains, and then took out the Marrow Cleansing Pill she had just refined from her bag.
Green Immortal said that the Marrow Cleansing Pill can open the dantian and introduce internal energy.
Why don't you give it a try?
Yun Qingran put the pill into her mouth, tilted her head back and swallowed it, swallowing the Marrow Cleansing Pill.
"I don't feel anything. Is that old man, Green Immortal, just making false claims?" After eating it, Yun Qingran touched her dantian and felt nothing.
After waiting a while longer, she still didn't feel anything. She stood up, moved the table aside, and performed a set of punches, which were no different from usual.
"Liar!" Yun Qingran was furious. All that talk about opening the dantian and drawing in internal energy was a lie. "Tomorrow I'm going to pluck out every single hair on his beard."
After fuming for a while, Yun Qingran lay back on the bed in a wide arc, wrapped herself up in the quilt, and went to sleep.
After falling asleep, she had a dream. She planned to escape, but things went wrong, and everyone in the Demon Valley came after her. She ran and ran, and suddenly a deep abyss appeared in front of her. The abyss was bottomless, pitch black, and resembled the gaping maw of a giant beast. It seemed that once she fell in, she would never come out again.
She braked sharply, but still nearly fell into the abyss. Watching the pebble she'd kicked into the abyss disappear without a trace, she froze, completely stunned.
"Yun Qingran, you can't escape, prepare to die." Jing Hongying caught up, he was different from usual, his mouth stretched to the back of his head, he had a pig nose, dog eyes, and his body had turned into a bear's body.
Not only him, but everyone in the entire Demon Valley turned into monsters.
"Don't come any closer! Don't come any closer!" she shouted, turning around and pointing her sword at them.
"Yun Qingran, do you know who our Valley Master is? Our Valley Master is the Dark Abyss behind you. Look, it's emerging." Jing Hongying looked at the abyss behind her with adoration.
Her heart pounded. She slowly turned around and saw a human-shaped black mist behind her. The next second, the black mist transformed into a sharp sword and pierced into her dantian.
"It hurts!" Yun Qingran woke up from her dream with a start from the pain!
She thought the pain in her lower abdomen was a dream, but when she woke up, she found that her lower abdomen was indeed in pain, as if there was a ball of fire burning inside.
"Could it be that the Marrow Cleansing Pill is working?" Yun Qingran clutched her dantian and fell off the bed.
Her entire dantian was throbbing with pain, as if she were dying. Yun Qingran pulled the blanket down and bit it in her mouth to stop herself from screaming because of the pain.
She couldn't let Jinghongying know that she had started cultivating her inner strength, so that she could catch him off guard at a crucial moment.
Yun Qingran bit the blanket tightly. Within seconds, she was covered in sweat, as if she had been pulled out of the water, and the pain continued.
"Ranran." In a remote county thousands of miles away, Jun Molin suddenly sat up in bed, panting heavily, his face showing a look of shock and disbelief.
"Your Highness, what's wrong?" Pei Chen ran in upon hearing the voice.
"I dreamt of Ranran. I dreamt that she was covered in blood, and she said she was in a lot of pain." As he spoke, Jun Molin's eyes reddened, and his heart was filled with unease. He had never felt like this before.
“Dreams are always the opposite of reality. How could Miss Yun possibly get hurt or in pain in the capital?” Pei Chen comforted her.
Jun Molin shook his head. The dream was too real, making it hard for him to believe that it was really just a dream.
"Your Highness, don't worry. Miss Yun is so smart and skilled. She'll be fine in the capital," Pei Chen said, continuing to comfort Jun Molin, who still seemed distracted.
Jun Molin got out of bed and started getting dressed and putting on his shoes.
"Your Highness, it's the time of day for the scholars to be here. Why are you up?" Pei Chen asked quickly, seeing his expression.
"To the prison." Jun Molin took the cloak, slung it over his back and tied it, then strode off toward the prison.
He needed to resolve the matter in Yao County as soon as possible and then rush back to the capital.
Interrogating prisoners late at night? Pei Chen looked utterly dejected, but helpless, and could only follow along with tears in his eyes.
The next morning, sunlight streamed into the room and fell on Yun Qingran. She lay on the ground, like a delicate flower battered by wind and rain, evoking immense pity and heartache, and prompting admiration for her strength.
Feeling the warm sunlight, Yun Qingran slowly opened her eyes. After the pain, her cunning and lively eyes had become more resolute.
Facing the sunlight, she slowly raised her head. No matter how much wind and rain she had endured last night, the delicate flower had survived, and now she stood tall on the branch, head held high and chest out.
After a while, Yun Qingran got up from the ground, sat cross-legged on the bed, closed her eyes, and clearly felt that there was a power in her body, and she could control this power, although she was still a little rusty at controlling it.
"I finally have internal energy!" If she had wings, Yun Qingran would be flying away with joy right now.
Last night's dream taught her a profound lesson: without strength, one can only be beaten.
After circulating her internal energy for a while, Yun Qingran's stomach started growling with hunger. She got up, washed up, and planned to find something to eat.
We arrived at the kitchen, where breakfast was being prepared.
"Who are you, and what are you doing in the kitchen?" The head chef in the kitchen looked at Yun Qingran warily. He had never seen this girl before, and there was no mention of recruiting new instructors.
“My name is Yun Qingran. Your High Priest brought me to Demon Valley,” Yun Qingran said.
"Oh, so it was the High Priest who brought you to Demon Valley." The head chef immediately became enthusiastic towards Yun Qingran.
"Hmm." Yun Qingran nodded calmly. It was Jing Hongying who brought her to the Demon Valley, even though she was brought there after being knocked unconscious.
"Miss Yun, what brings you to the kitchen?" the head chef asked politely.
"I'm hungry, I came to see if there's anything to eat," Yun Qingran replied shyly, rubbing her stomach.
"No problem, I'll have someone make you some noodles right away." The head chef immediately ordered someone to make noodles for Yun Qingran.
Soon, a bowl of fragrant beef noodles was served.
"Miss Yun, please eat quickly." The head chef personally brought the noodles to her and placed them in front of her.
"Thank you." Yun Qingran sat down, picked up her chopsticks, and began to eat heartily.
Although she ate quickly, her movements were not at all rude.
The head chef nodded in satisfaction as he watched her enjoy her meal. The people in the valley all complained that their cooking was terrible. "What's so terrible about it? Look how much this angelic young girl is eating!"
