"Ranran, why did you bring us here?" Xiao Jie asked, somewhat puzzled.
Nangong Xu glanced at Yun Qingran deeply, but the look vanished in an instant.
Yun Qingran did not answer Xiao Jie's question, but asked, "Godfather, could you please call all the servants here?"
"Of course." Xiao Jie nodded, then instructed the butler beside him to call out the servants who were already resting.
Before long, all the servants were called out and stood in neat rows in front of Yun Qingran.
Yun Qingran looked around and said with certainty, "There are still people who haven't arrived, right?"
The butler immediately went to ask and then replied, "Miss, there is indeed one servant who hasn't come yet. He is sick, very seriously ill, and is bedridden."
"Who is sharing a room with that sick person?" Yun Qingran asked.
“It’s a villain.” A thin, middle-aged man stepped forward.
Yun Qingran looked at the thin man, and with a flick of her wrist, a gleaming dagger was pressed against his neck.
The man was surprised by Yun Qingran's sudden outburst, his eyes sharpened, and he prepared to retaliate.
"Don't move, or I won't be responsible if you die." Yun Qingran smiled sweetly at him.
To others, she was as beautiful as a rose at that moment, but to this man, she was more terrifying than a demon from hell.
"Young Miss, I don't know what I've done wrong. Please forgive me." The man instantly concealed the sharp look in his eyes and reverted to his honest and unassuming servant appearance.
"You little rascal, nice to meet you!" Yun Qingran poked his chest with the dagger in her hand.
The rat stared at her with wide eyes! She actually knew her identity.
"Ranran, what exactly happened?" Everyone around was completely confused, and Madam Xiao couldn't help but ask.
“Godfather and Godmother, go and bring out that sick servant, and then I will tell you what happened,” Yun Qingran said.
"Oh, okay, okay." Madam Xiao quickly nodded, then asked the butler to lead them to bring out the sick servant.
A short while later, the servant was brought in; he was unconscious and completely unaware of his surroundings.
Yun Qingran glanced at Green Immortal and nodded to him.
"What's wrong? Does your chin hurt?" the Green Immortal asked.
Yun Qingran: A master and disciple with no tacit understanding...
"You idiot, I sent you to watch over Tu Haozi. Fine, just knock him out." Yun Qingran raised her hand, and the hilt of her dagger slammed into Tu Haozi's neck, knocking him unconscious.
"Master, doesn't this person seem familiar?" Madam Xiao's gaze lingered on the unconscious servant lying on the ground.
"It does look somewhat familiar." Xiao Jie scratched the back of his head, his gaze lingering on the unconscious servant.
“Because he is my older brother.” Yun Qingran stepped forward and knelt on one knee in front of this person.
"Is he Shi'er?" Madam Xiao shook her head. "Impossible, your brother doesn't look like that."
"Watch closely." Yun Qingran rubbed her fingers on the neck, peeling off a layer of skin, and then pulled the skin upwards, tearing off a human skin mask.
"Shi'er!" Xiao Jie and Madam Xiao cried out in unison, their voices trembling with tears, as they looked at the familiar face.
Beneath the human skin mask was a young and handsome face, bearing a resemblance to Madam Xiao (three parts) and Xiao Jie (two parts), with the remaining five parts being an exceptional performance.
"Shi'er, wake up! Don't scare your mother!" Madam Xiao cried out, throwing herself onto Xiao Shi.
Yun Qingran took Xiao Shi's pulse, then said to Madam Xiao, "Godmother, don't worry, my brother has just been drugged."
"Really?" Upon hearing Yun Qingran's words, Madam Xiao felt a sense of relief.
For some reason, even though they had only known each other for two days, she not only liked this goddaughter very much, but also trusted her immensely, just like she trusted her own daughter.
“Really. Godmother, please get up. I’ll give my brother acupuncture, and he’ll wake up right away.” Yun Qingran took out her needle kit from her small bag.
"Oh, good, good, Ranran, quickly give your brother acupuncture." Madam Xiao hurriedly got up from Xiao Shi.
Yun Qingran patted Xiao Shi's hand and forearm to relax his tendons and muscles before starting to administer acupuncture.
After the third needle was inserted, Xiao Shi's long eyelashes trembled, like a butterfly about to take flight. Then, he slowly opened his eyes, revealing a pair of clear and pure eyes.
"Sister~" Xiao Shi opened his eyes and saw Yun Qingran. His eyes lit up immediately.
This is the most beautiful person he has ever seen!
“I’m your sister,” Yun Qingran corrected him, then realized something was off and corrected herself, “I’m your adopted sister, Yun Qingran.”
"No, no, no, you are my sister, you are a fairy sister," Xiao Shi insisted.
Xiao Shi is tall with long legs, rebellious eyebrows that arch upwards, long and curled eyelashes that frame large and deep eyes, a straight nose, and petal-like lips. In particular, the clear naiveté in his eyes gives him the perfect look of a male high school student.
Now I finally understand why rich women like younger men. Question rich women, understand rich women, and become a rich woman yourself!
"By the way, I haven't asked Ranran your age yet. How old are you, Ranran?" Madam Xiao asked.
“I am twenty years and four months old,” Yun Qingran replied.
"So, by that calculation, you're older than Shi'er. Shi'er is already twenty years and one month old." Madam Xiao looked at Yun Qingran's face; her skin was as delicate as a baby's, smooth and flawless. Although she had an oval face, a touch of baby fat made her appear even more youthful. This had led the couple to believe she was only seventeen or eighteen, and thus considered her their younger sister.
"Ranran is actually the older sister." Xiao Jie hadn't expected that Yun Qingran was older than Xiao Shi, even though she looked so young.
"Fairy Sister, Fairy Sister," Xiao Shi called out sweetly, looking at Yun Qingran with starry eyes.
Standing to the side, Nangong Xu pursed his lips, his gaze towards Xiao Shi seemingly harboring a subtle hostility.
“Your sister is truly a goddess. If it weren’t for her, your parents wouldn’t have found you yet, and we don’t even know if we would ever have found you.” Madam Xiao patted Xiao Shi’s head, then looked at Yun Qingran with gratitude.
"Yun Qingran, how did you know Xiao Shi was here? You didn't kidnap Xiao Shi, did you, and then find him again so that the Xiao family would be grateful to you," Nangong Ye said jealously from the side.
Why didn't he find Xiao Shi? If he had found Xiao Shi, he would be Xiao Shi's benefactor, and the Xiao family would be at his disposal in the future.
"Brother, if your brain is rusty, just pour some vegetable oil in to lubricate it. Why force it to work?" Yun Qingran looked at Nangong Ye with the kind of concern one would show for someone with intellectual disabilities.
"Yun Qingran, how dare you mock me!" Nangong Ye roared in fury.
