The 141st King of Fortune

Yun Qingran kept backing away until her back hit something hard. When she turned her head, she saw the jade coffin placed in the middle of the jade platform.

From a distance, all one could see was a jade coffin of excellent quality, shimmering under the glow of a luminous pearl.

Upon closer inspection, she discovered that the jade used to make the coffin was crystal clear, and she could even vaguely see inside the coffin through it from the outside.

Inside lay a man, a man with white hair and beard, dressed in magnificent funeral clothes, his face lifelike, without a trace of decay. In his hand he held something that looked like a bone.

Yun Qingran was startled by the scene. She quickly put her hands together and said, "Greetings, tomb owner. I was so eager to save people that I accidentally entered your tomb. I didn't mean to cause any damage. Please forgive me. To make amends, I will burn many gold and silver ingots and a large amount of ghost money for you after I leave."

"Roar!" The Rock Cave King Serpent raised its head from the water and roared angrily at Yun Qingran.

"Master of the tomb, in order for my daughter to be alive to burn money for you, could you please discipline your tomb pet and stop it from biting me? Please, please." Yun Qingran quickly put her hands together and bowed to the master of the tomb.

"Roar roar roar roar..." The roar of the Cave King Serpent grew even more furious, so loud that Yun Qingran's eardrums almost burst and her soul trembled.

After roaring for a while, Yun Qingran realized that it seemed to only dare to roar helplessly in the water and dared not come up to the jade platform.

"Hehe, you don't dare to come up now, do you?" After noticing this problem, Yun Qingran put her hands on her hips and started to show off again.

The cave king serpent was furious at her smug look. It leaned forward several times, but failed to climb up.

However, it didn't leave. It circled the jade platform, guarding it, its gaze fixed on Yun Qingran with a sinister look.

Although the vile snake was guarding the spot, at least it had stopped attacking. Wu Yuan would come to rescue her soon after he finished setting up his crossbow. Yun Qingran wiped the sweat from her forehead, her tense nerves relaxing a little.

She turned and began to examine the jade coffin. Two lines of small characters were inscribed at the top of the coffin: "King Fulu of the Great Qi Dynasty, lived to the age of ninety-eight."

The Great Qi was a unified dynasty that existed before the four kingdoms, but it had a short lifespan and has long since been destroyed.

"The legend the boatman told is true. There really is a prince buried in Chilong Peak." Yun Qingran looked at the jade coffin and continued, "He lived to the age of ninety-eight. After his death, he was buried in such a jade coffin in such a place with mountains and water. He was indeed a blessed person with good fortune and prosperity."

Seeing a prayer mat in front of the coffin, she stepped forward, knelt down, and said respectfully and devoutly, "Your Highness, I did not know this was your tomb. I entered unintentionally and damaged some of your things in order to save my life. I apologize to you here."

The previous apology was a desperate attempt to find a solution, but this apology is a genuine and sincere one.

After all, whether someone's burial was done well or not, it's unreasonable for you to suddenly barge in and cause damage.

After saying that, Yun Qingran kowtowed three times earnestly.

As she rose after kowtowing for the third time, the jade coffin suddenly made a sound, like the sound of the coffin lid being ripped open.

Yun Qingran was startled, and the rock cave king snake guarding the jade platform also suddenly shuddered and raised its head to look at her.

She looked up and saw that the coffin lid, which had been tightly sealed and impossible to open, had somehow opened by itself.

"It's come back to life?" Yun Qingran swallowed hard and slowly peeked into the jade coffin.

There was no sign of him rising from the dead; King Fulu lay quietly in the jade coffin.

Yun Qingran cautiously approached the coffin to confirm that the corpse inside had indeed not risen from the dead.

"I was almost scared to death." Yun Qingran breathed a sigh of relief, then gently patted her chest. If it really had come back to life, and she didn't have the black donkey hoof, she would have been doomed.

After calming down, Yun Qingran carefully examined the scene inside the jade coffin.

She had just seen that the King of Fortune had white hair and beard and was dressed in a magnificent burial robe. Now she could see the King of Fortune's face clearly; he was a kind and dignified old man.

Suddenly, she felt less afraid and continued watching. The King of Fortune placed his hands on his abdomen, holding a bone from some large creature.

The bone was milky white and emitted a pleasant, subtle fragrance.

"Could this be the dragon bone?" Yun Qingran examined the bone closely.

She had never seen dragon bones, but she remembered that her family's medical books recorded that dragon bones were one of the ingredients for refining the Nine-Turn Rejuvenation Pill. They were milky white in color, emitted a faint fragrance, and could keep the body of the dead from decaying for ten thousand years.

The fact that King Fulu's body remains so lifelike even after so many years of death must be due to the effects of this dragon bone.

What a coincidence! We stumbled upon the dragon bones by sheer chance.

Besides the dragon bone in Fu Lu Wang's hand, Yun Qingran also found a key about the length of a palm on his left side and a silver-white longsword on his right side, with three small characters engraved on the hilt: Zhanlang Sword.

"This sword is really beautiful." Yun Qingran looked at the sword with clear and bright eyes.

The sword is silver-white with a thin blade, making it very suitable for women.

Yun Qingran glanced at the cave king serpent coiled around the jade platform; it seemed to be making no move. So she gently reached out to take the dragon bone.

She was determined to obtain the dragon bone, one of the nine medicinal ingredients used to refine the Nine-Turn Rejuvenation Pill.

She reached out and grabbed the dragon bone, and with a gentle tug, she pulled it out of the King of Fortune's hands.

In an instant, the lifelike Fu Lu Wang's flesh withered rapidly, and his hair and beard vanished.

"Tsk!" Although Yun Qingran had long known that removing the dragon bone would turn the Fortune King into a skeleton, she was still somewhat shocked and guilty when she saw the change with her own eyes.

"Waaaaah..."

A whimpering sound came from behind. Yun Qingran turned around and saw the Rock Cave King Serpent. It looked at the corpse of the Fortune King and let out a sad whimper.

"I'm so sorry, so sorry, so sorry," Yun Qingran apologized to the Rock Cave King Serpent.

Just then, Yutai suddenly shook violently. "Is it an earthquake?"

Yun Qingran initially thought it was an earthquake, but while other parts of her body remained still, the stone platform seemed to move erratically before sinking.

The Jade Platform is about to collapse!

In her haste, Yun Qingran reached for the Zhanlang Sword to protect herself. Just as she picked up the sword, the jade platform collapsed with a crash.

She sank into the water along with the jade platform.

"Ugh... Ugh..." Yun Qingran was pressed down by the jade platform and sank quickly, feeling a tightness and pain in her chest, making it hard to breathe.

Just when she thought she was going to drown, she saw the cave king snake swimming towards her.

The cave king cobra's mouth smelled awful; she'd rather drown than be eaten by it.

Rock Cave King Snake: Are you being polite?

She slowly closed her eyes, preparing to face death. The next second, the Rock Cave King Serpent's body smashed through the jade platform above her, burrowed under her, and carried her towards the surface of the water.
