Chapter 169: Encountering a Bear

"Miss Kang held the black bear's front paws with both hands, like this..." he said while gesturing.

Everyone was shocked. Black bears are known for their strength and power, but Kang Yueran was able to control it.

Chai Shibo was so angry that he stamped his foot, "Fifth brother, you shouldn't have stopped me!"

"If you had Miss Kang's strength and ability, I would definitely not stop you!"

Kang Yueran stood up by holding onto the tree. "There are two bears, enough for us to eat. Prince Xuan, let's go to the stream and have some barbecue."

Chai Shibo disagreed, "Let's go around again. Bear meat isn't tasty, venison is."

Kang Yueran advised: "We have even encountered a hibernating black bear, and we don't know if the next one we'll encounter will be a tiger. Let's go back!"

When she reminded them, everyone remembered that bears hibernate and should not appear here.

Chai Shiyan was unwilling to let them take any more risks. "Miss Kang is right. Two bears are enough to eat. Let's go back!"

Hu Dacheng retracted the arrow, dragged a bear forward a few steps, and said, "This bear must weigh about 500 to 600 kilograms."

The two servants dragged the other bear back.

As they were walking, Kang Yueran's ears moved. Looking to the left, he saw a deer running towards them. "Chu Yun, left!"

Chu Yun and Chai Shibo were overjoyed and rushed forward with bows and arrows in hand.

Kang Yueran shouted, "Hurry and decide, there must be someone behind that deer." Deer are very alert. They made such a big noise here, the deer would not come over if it was not being chased by someone.

The two were good archers and soon returned with the deer.

Chai Shiyan smiled and said, "We're pretty lucky! Okay, let's go back!"

By the stream, two servants had already started a fire. Knowing that their masters wanted to grill meat, they also set up a barbecue rack.

The bear and deer were handed over to the servants to cook. Hu Xiaocheng gave the servants the seasonings and taught them how to roast them to make them delicious.

Kang Yueran walked to the stream, washed her hands, and tidied her hair.

She held the bear and found it smelled bad. She sniffed the stench with disdain, walked up to Chai Shiyan, and asked, "Prince Xuan, I stink. Can you give me your sachet?"
