Chapter 207 Don't be angry

The little girl kept promising to go early and come back early, but in the end she hurried back when it was already dark.

Zhong Mingwei has been angry for most of the day. Not long after Achou went out, it started snowing outside. This was the first snowfall in Ningguta this year. It was not a small snowfall. At the beginning, the snowflakes were only the size of rice grains. But later on, it snowed heavier and heavier. It was like a heavy snow. The distant mountains outside the window were majestic and the snow was flying. It was very beautiful, but Zhong Mingwei had no mood to enjoy the snow. He was so anxious. I don't know if Achou was drenched in snow. I don't know if the snow on the mountain road was heavy and whether the road was slippery when Achou came back.

He has always been a man who is not easily moved. He has been like an ant on a hot pot for most of the day. Zhong Mingwei looked outside from time to time. He just hoped that the snow would stop soon, but he saw that the yard was gradually covered with a layer of white snow. The heavy snow was still falling down, and Zhong Mingwei was so anxious that he didn't know what to do. He stumbled to the door step by step, holding on to the wall, and wanted to greet Ah Chou, but he was staggering every step from the bedroom to the outer hall. If he ran outside in such weather, he might not be able to leave the yard and would fall down. It was hard to say whether he could get up, and in the end he would cause trouble for Ah Chou.

Zhong Mingwei had no choice but to stagger back to his bedroom. However, not long after, he limped to the outer hall again. Holding on to the door frame, he looked at the increasingly thick snow on the ground. Zhong Mingwei was so anxious that his eyes turned red.

He went back and forth like this with great effort until it was getting dark. When Zhong Mingwei could no longer walk, he heard the sound of a door opening outside, followed by the bray of a donkey. Zhong Mingwei hurriedly crawled over and looked out through the crack in the window. When he was sure that it was Achou who came back, he felt relieved. However, he was still very angry with Achou, so he did not get off the kang to greet Achou and just sat on it sulking.

"Uncle, thank you for delivering things to me on the mountain in such a heavy snow! Here's the money for you, please take it!" Ah Chou thanked the driver who helped him unload things into the house profusely. It was snowing heavily today, and many drivers were afraid of accidents and were unwilling to go up the mountain. Only this uncle in his fifties was willing to deliver things to Ah Chou. Ah Chou was naturally grateful. The originally agreed upon money of eight hundred coins, Ah Chou was rarely generous and gave the uncle one coin of silver.

The uncle took the silver, thanked Achou, and hurriedly drove down the mountain.

After Ah Chou locked the door, he hurried into the bedroom and said to Zhong Mingwei happily, "Zhong Mingwei! It's snowing outside!"

Zhong Mingwei was so angry that he really didn't know what this girl was so happy about. He lowered his head and ignored Achou.

Ah Chou obviously didn't notice Zhong Mingwei's abnormality, and immediately ran to the side room to get the cloak, while continuing to say happily: "Hurry up, I'll take you to enjoy the snow. I've been looking forward to it for a long time, but I didn't expect it to snow until now. But it's a heavy snow, how nice!"

"What's there to reward?" Zhong Mingwei was furious. He really didn't understand why Ah Chou was looking forward to snow so much. He glanced at Ah Chou who was still covered with a layer of snow. Zhong Mingwei immediately frowned and said coldly, "Why don't you shake off the snow? Are you trying to make yourself sick?"

"Why are you angry for no reason?" Ah Chou just realized that Zhong Mingwei was abnormal. He immediately went to shake off the snow while muttering softly, "It's not raining. It won't soak you. How can you get sick?"

Seeing that she still didn't repent, Zhong Mingwei became even angrier. He wanted to lose his temper at her, but when he saw Ah Chou's red face from the cold, he swallowed the scolding that was about to come out of his mouth. He snorted and turned his face away and ignored Ah Chou.

Achou carefully sat down on the edge of the kang and looked at Zhong Mingwei's straight back. She knew that Zhong Mingwei was really angry. She timidly reached out to push Zhong Mingwei. Zhong Mingwei shook his body and then moved inward, as if he had made up his mind not to pay attention to Achou.

"Don't be angry," Ah Chou whispered, while climbing onto the kang, and shamelessly hugged Zhong Mingwei from behind, with his forehead against the man's back, and whispered, "I'm not cold, really not cold, it's okay, don't be angry."

Zhong Mingwei shook his body, not wanting to pay attention to Ah Chou, but he softened his heart in the end. After a pause, Zhong Mingwei said in a muffled voice: "Why did you come back so late? Is it difficult to walk on the road because of the snow?"
