"Your Highness, we're here," the sedan stopped in front of the second prince's house. Liao Chongwu bowed to the sedan and heard a cough from inside. He hurried over and lifted the door curtain. "Your Highness, did you catch a cold?"
Zhong Minge glanced at him. Against the light, he couldn't see Liao Chongwu's face clearly, so he stopped looking and stepped out of the sedan chair with his head down. Then he strode towards the prince's mansion. Before he took a few steps, he felt his body sink. Zhong Minge was startled. Then he watched Liao Chongwu put on a heavy cloak for him. The cloak must have not been washed for a long time, and it smelled of sweat. There was also a strong smell of alcohol.
Zhong Ming'e was uneasy and wanted to take off the cloak. But Liao Chongwu held his hand. He said in a deep voice: "Your Highness, please make do with it for now. Take it off when you return to your room. It's windy outside."
Zhong Minge didn't say anything else. He put on Liao Chongwu's cloak and walked through the winding corridors and entered the study.
"Your Highness, aren't you going to the backyard?" Liao Chongwu followed Zhong Minge into the study and asked hesitantly.
Concubine Shu told Zhong Ming'e to visit Zou more often, and Liao Chongwu also knew about it.
Zhong Ming'e said nothing. He took off his cloak and handed it to Liao Chongwu.
"Drink less alcohol, it's harmful to your health." Zhong Minge glanced at Liao Chongwu and walked to the table and sat down.
"I don't drink it all the time," Liao Chongwu wiped his face and said embarrassedly, "I just started drinking it recently."
"Yes, you didn't drink before," Zhong Minge looked at him, his hands in his sleeves gradually clenched into fists. Somehow, he was a little nervous, pursed his lips, and asked in a low voice, "What's wrong? Have you been worried recently?"
Liao Chongwu met Zhong Ming'e's gaze, paused for a moment, then lowered his head again, picked up the teapot and poured a cup of tea, handed it to Zhong Ming'e, and whispered, "It's okay, I just want to drink."
The fists in his sleeves suddenly opened up, and Zhong Ming'e glared at Liao Chongwu with a look of deep resentment. He seemed to want to say something, but in the end he said nothing. He just took the teacup and suddenly drank the bitter tea in it.
"Go away, I want to rest." Zhong Ming'e said in a muffled voice, his chest rising and falling gently, as if there was a huge rage inside.
"Your Highness, please stop torturing yourself." Liao Chongwu looked at him and hesitated to speak. He took a deep breath and finally said, "Your Highness, Concubine Shu did it all for you..."
"Get out!" Without waiting for Liao Chongwu to speak, Zhong Minge suddenly shouted angrily, and at the same time, a blue and white porcelain teacup hit Liao Chongwu in the face. Zhong Minge's originally furious face suddenly collapsed when he looked at Liao Chongwu, whose half face was bleeding. His eyes were red, his lips trembled, and he sat back in the armchair with a "thump". The next second, he covered his face and sobbed.
"Your Highness!" Liao Chongwu wiped his face carelessly. He was so busy that he bypassed the table and knelt in front of Zhong Ming'e. He supported himself on both sides of the armchair with his hands, looking at the sobbing Zhong Ming'e anxiously and distressedly, "Your Highness, please don't do this, please don't do this..."
"Then what do you want me to do?" Zhong Minge cried with a strong sense of grievance and resentment, "Liao Chongwu, what do you want me to do? What do you want me to do?!"
"Your Highness..." Liao Chongwu's voice was also nasal. The usually strong and powerful man now had tears in his eyes and a look of heartache that he didn't know what to do.
"Liao Chongwu, what should I do?" Zhong Minge put down his hands that were soaked with tears, and looked at Liao Chongwu with red eyes, sad and confused, "What should I do? What do you think I should do..."
"Your Highness..." Liao Chongwu reached out and held Zhong Minge's hand. He wanted to say something so urgently, but in the end he said nothing. He knelt on the ground in frustration.
“Boom boom boom!”
"Your Highness," the maid knocked on the door, followed by her anxious voice, "The princess is not feeling well, Your Highness, would you mind going to the backyard to take a look?"
Liao Chongwu stood up hurriedly, took a handkerchief to wipe the scarlet blood on his face, and then took another handkerchief to wipe Zhong Minge's face. At this moment, the little maid was begging outside again.
"Your Highness, please go see the princess, Your Highness..."
"Liao Chongwu..." Zhong Minge looked at Liao Chongwu without blinking, holding his breath and whispering, "Should I go?"
