The black-faced guard shook off Ah Chou's hand, took two steps back, and then suddenly kicked the door open with a "bang". He rushed in with a knife in hand, but after taking two steps, the black-faced guard suddenly froze in place. Not only him, but also the white-faced guard and Ah Chou who followed him in froze. Ah Chou's eyes widened. Looking at the woman hanging on the beam, he opened his mouth to scream, but was covered by the white-faced guard. Then the white-faced guard quickly closed the door.
"Don't make a sound!" The white-faced guard said to Ah Chou in a low voice. His expression was very cold and frightening. He pinched Ah Chou's neck with one hand. With the other hand, he suddenly pulled out the shining knife from his waist. "If you dare to make a sound, I will make you be buried with your master!"
Ah Chou nodded like a chick pecking at rice. She was only sixteen years old. Although life was hard, she really didn't want to die at all. Besides, she was not a loyal servant, so there was no reason for her to be buried with Miss Duan, whom she had only known for a few months.
The white-faced guard then let go of Ah Chou. He raised his hand and cut the white silk on the beam. The body of Miss Duan fell down with a "thump". The white-faced guard and the black-faced guard went over to check. The body was cold and stiff. It looked like she had died a long time ago. Ah Chou didn't dare to look, but just huddled in the corner and stared at the round wooden stool that had fallen to the ground.
The two men squatted on either side of Miss Duan's body, staring at each other, and saw fear in each other's eyes. The black-faced guard turned pale with fear, and asked the white-faced guard tremblingly: "Brother, what...what should we do?"
The white-faced guard was obviously calmer. He looked at Miss Duan steadily, and then suddenly looked at Ah Chou who was squatting in the corner and trembling. He looked at Ah Chou for a long time, and then said, "Has the deposed prince ever seen your young lady?"
"Ah?" Ah Chou was startled, thought for a moment, and then said, "I heard from the housekeeper that my young lady never leaves the main door or the secondary door, so the deposed prince should have never seen my young lady."
"That's easy." The white-faced guard was obviously relieved. He turned around and reached out to untie the bright red wedding dress on Miss Duan.
"Brother, what are you going to do?!" the black-faced guard asked in a low voice, while stretching out his hand to block the hand of the white-faced guard. He looked puzzled and angry, and lowered his voice and said, "Brother, don't do anything stupid! This person is dead!"
"What are you thinking?" The white-faced guard shook off the black-faced guard's hand and said to him with a frown, "If this little girl dies, we can't live! If we want to live, we have to find someone to replace this little girl and marry her to Ningguta!"
"Brother, what you mean is..." The dark-faced guard suddenly realized and looked at Ah Chou, frowning, "But this girl is too ugly, and she looks so shabby, how can she be a lady who grew up in a big family?"
Ah Chou shrank back, his face pressed against his thigh. The dark red scar on his neck was extremely obvious and eye-catching.
"Who else can we use if not her?" The white-faced guard said, "Since the deposed prince has never met Miss Duan, who can replace her? Besides, she is Miss Duan's maid, so she naturally knows Miss Duan's every move best. We can just copy her. What's more, it's uncertain whether the deposed prince is dead or alive now, so we can just send her over."
