Chapter 29 Finding the Medicine Bottle

Qi Zhiheng looked at the small bottles, took one and asked, "Don't you have any bigger bottles? This won't hold all of them!" Qi Zhiheng pulled the cork off the teapot spout, poured the hemostatic powder into the small bottle, plugged it back in, and then went to get another medicine bottle to fill with the hemostatic powder.

Qi Dong was stunned by his actions, completely unaware of what was happening. His grandson was carrying hemostatic powder? Hadn't he just taken the medicine over?

After filling the medicine bottle in his hand, Qi Zhiheng urged, "Grandpa, what are you standing there for? I'm almost done filling the bottle."

Qi Dong snapped out of his daze and gave him a few more medicine bottles.

The hemostatic powder filled twelve bottles in total. Qi Zhiheng held up the bottles and proudly showed them to Qi Dong, saying, "Grandpa, look at the hemostatic powder I made!"

Qi Dong was skeptical: "You made these? You've only had the herbs for less than half an hour, right? Even he couldn't have made so many doses of hemostatic powder in half an hour."

Even for Qi Dong, one dose of medicinal herbs can only produce a maximum of three bottles of hemostatic powder.

Looking at Qi Zhiheng's smug chubby face, Qi Dong thought to himself: Could it be that his grandson failed to refine it and ran outside to buy some hemostatic powder to pass it off as his own?

Given his grandson's character, it didn't seem impossible. Qi Dong was a little conflicted, not wanting to expose his grandson's trick. He knew how much his grandson cared about his reputation.

But if we don't expose it, won't this seedling easily grow crooked?

Qi Zhiheng had no idea about his grandfather's little mood. Holding a dozen bottles of hemostatic powder, he wanted to go and show off to his mother. Without the shackles and constraints of his previous life, Qi Zhiheng felt that he had become his somewhat unrestrained and carefree self again.

"I want to go and show Mother the results of my hard work!" Qi Zhiheng lifted his foot to leave.

Qi Dong stopped him and said, "Zhiheng! You...you really made this yourself?" Qi Dong felt that he was becoming incoherent. How could he subtly remind his grandson to be honest?

Qi Zhiheng asked in confusion, "Grandpa, why are you being so hesitant today? Of course, I made this! If you don't believe me, I'll make another batch for you."

Qi Dong felt a little embarrassed. Although he suspected that his grandson was being a bit unethical, he still watched his grandson make a hemostatic powder.

Qi Dong then noticed that Qi Zhiheng seemed to be making some kind of gestures while refining medicine. The movements were smooth and rhythmic.

Qi Dong himself was also obsessed with alchemy, and he was immediately captivated by these actions.

As soon as Qi Zhiheng finished refining the hemostatic powder, he wanted to ask his grandfather to bring him a bottle to put it in. Seeing Qi Dong's infatuated look, Qi Zhiheng couldn't help but shudder! He said, "Grandpa, what are you doing? Come and help me put the hemostatic powder in."

Qi Dong came to his senses and found that his grandson had finished refining the medicine. He quickly took out a bottle to put the hemostatic powder into Qi Zhiheng's bottle.

This time, it was twelve small medicine bottles again. This time, Qi Dong had no choice but to believe it! Qi Dong wasn't stupid either. He immediately thought of that set of movements and asked, "Zhiheng, what's that set of movements you use when you're refining medicine?"

In his previous life, Qi Zhiheng had been separated from his family for many years. Even so, his family members still tried to save him when he was in trouble, and ultimately they all died tragically because of it.

If there's one person Qi Zhiheng trusts most, it's undoubtedly his family. The reason he doesn't talk about his rebirth is mostly because he finds it difficult to bring up. Aside from his rebirth, there's nothing else Qi Zhiheng can't reveal.
