Chapter 74 The Moon in the Water (Part 4)

Qi Zhiheng landed hard on the grass, becoming Yang Yitian's human cushion. Fortunately, both of them were covered in spiritual energy, so the fall didn't cause any major problems. At most, Qi Zhiheng's tailbone was a little uncomfortable.

The place they entered was also at night, with a huge bright moon hanging in the sky.

The surrounding offerings floated in mid-air, unlike them which fell to the ground.

Seeing how incredibly beautiful the moon was, Yang Yitian took a few more glances and exclaimed, "That moon is even more beautiful than the ones outside!"

Hearing this, Qi Zhiheng looked up and saw that the moon was indeed very large and round. But it hung in the sky, as if it were in a different space from them. Qi Zhiheng couldn't help but doubt his guess and took Yang Yitian's hand, saying, "Let's look around."

The surroundings were quiet, and the moonlight made it quite bright, but the fog was so thick that visibility was reduced to more than ten meters. Yang Yitian asked curiously, "Where is this place?"

Qi Zhiheng speculated, "This might be an interlayer between realms."

"What is the layer between the boundaries?" Yang Yitian had never heard of such a thing before.

Qi Zhiheng explained, "As you know, the world we live in does not exist in isolation. Just like this continent is the Xuanling Continent, the place you were in before is called Earth, and the place where I received the inheritance is in the cultivation world. Above the cultivation world, there exists the immortal world!"

Yang Yitian nodded and continued listening to Qi Zhiheng's explanation.

"There are three thousand worlds within Mount Sumeru. The 'three thousand' in 'three thousand worlds' does not actually refer to only three thousand worlds. The infinity of three times three and the endlessness of six times six refer to the fact that these worlds are infinite. There are many similar small worlds like the Xuanling Continent in this world," Qi Zhiheng continued to explain.

Yang Yitian could understand a little bit, just like the "three people" in the saying "Among three people walking together, there must be one who can teach me" doesn't actually mean there are only three people.

Seeing that there was no danger around, Qi Zhiheng was happy to explain some things to his wife: "There are several ways to travel from one world to another: First, become a Mahayana cultivator and have the ability to travel through the void. Second, have a celestial artifact that can travel through the void. Third, find the connecting passage between worlds. Fourth, have a flying artifact that can travel long distances."

Yang Yitian's eyes lit up when he heard this! If he could achieve even one of the above conditions, wouldn't he be able to find a way back to Earth?

Qi Zhiheng was unaware that the person beside him was thinking about other places and was still explaining the situation to him: "This mezzanine is the most likely place to find a passage to other worlds. However, if a passage appears here, it is hard to say where it will lead. Perhaps it will be a small world with less spiritual energy than Xuanling Continent."

He shook his head, indicating that he was not optimistic about the passage. The spiritual energy in this interlayer was not as rich as that in the Xuanling Continent, and there was a 90% chance that it would lead to an even more barren small world!

Yang Yitian was somewhat disappointed to learn that these passages had fixed locations, and asked, "Then how can I get to the designated small world?"

Qi Zhiheng raised an eyebrow and asked, "Why are you asking this?" He wondered if his wife was planning to run away again.

Yang Yitian said, "I was just thinking that if I had the chance, I could go back to Earth to see my parents and my siblings. Don't worry! I will definitely take you with me to meet your parents."

Qi Zhiheng's ears turned suspiciously red.
