After lunch, the two returned home in the afternoon. When they got to town, they went to Second Uncle Gu's house and told her about Bai Ruozhen's pregnancy. Second Aunt Gu was very happy and said, "Great, this is really good news. Don't worry, I'll take care of the baby for you after it's born."
"You will help us take care of the baby?" Bai Ruozhen asked in surprise, because Qiu Lanying had said that she would not help take care of the child, and she was planning to quit her job in the school cafeteria or transfer it to Feng Qiujuan after the baby was born. She didn't expect that Aunt Gu was willing to help.
"But don't you still have to go to work?" Bai Ruozhen said, "How can I ask you to help take care of the child? Taking care of children is the hardest part."

Gu Changqing, the little bastard, rubbed his nose. "But let Second Aunt take care of the child...or maybe Zhenzhen should take care of the child. It's a pity we can't hire anyone right now. It would be great if we could. If that doesn't work, let Gu Xiaoli come back to look after the child."

Uncle Gu said, "Alright, let your aunt see it. She's been thinking about this every day since you got married. Just retire early from work. It's a good opportunity to give the position to her niece. It's the best of both worlds."
Of course Gu Changqing was tempted by such a proposal. As long as he was not adopted, anything was fine. After all, his second uncle Gu and his wife were old, and they couldn't just ignore them.
Bai Ruozhen felt that this was too unfair to Aunt Gu, after all, they were not Aunt Gu's daughter-in-law and son.

Gu Changqing sighed and said, "I should have known not to let Gu Xiaoli go to Penglai. At least you guys can keep her company when I'm out."
Bai Ruozhen snorted, "You were the one who disliked her so much back then."
"You still dislike it now." Gu Changqing said, "Alas, it's too late to say anything."
When they got home, they saw Wang Jun at the door. Wang Jun held his belly and breathed a sigh of relief when he saw them. "Fifth brother, hurry up and take me to the hospital. I'm about to give birth."
Bai Ruozhen was startled, "Isn't it still a few days?" He took the bag from her hand and said to Gu Changqing, "Brother Changqing, go to the neighbor's house and borrow a flatbed cart and push Fifth Sister-in-law there."
Gu Changqing knew she couldn't delay and quickly borrowed a car. Bai Ruozhen supported her and asked, "Where's the third brother?"
Wang Jun said, "I went to work. I felt a little uncomfortable in my stomach this morning, and he said he might as well not go to work. I thought it was okay, so I let him go.
