The nurse gave some instructions and left. Wang Jun was already tired and had fallen asleep. Bai Ruozhen stared at the little baby beside Wang Jun with curiosity.
Then the little baby suddenly cried out. Bai Ruozhen was startled and immediately remembered that the nurse said to give the child some water. She looked for the bag that Wang Jun had packed and found a small bowl and a small bottle in it. Bai Ruozhen saw that they didn't bring a thermos either, so she saw that the store next door had one and shamelessly asked for some.
The woman on the other end was quite welcoming and said with a smile, "You're young and inexperienced, why don't you ask an elder to take care of it?"
Bai Ruozhen smiled and said, "My sister-in-law gave birth too hastily, and my mother-in-law didn't have time to come over yet."
The auntie asked in surprise, "Are you sisters-in-law?"

"Tsk, tsk, you two really have a good relationship," the aunt said as she poured her some water. "Test it first to see if it's warm. Use the back of your hand to test it before feeding. Feed a small amount the first time. Once your sister-in-law wakes up, let the baby nurse. It'll be nice to have milk sooner rather than later."
Bai Ruozhen was grateful and quickly thanked him, then shook the bottle to cool the water. Wang Jun was woken by the child again and was patting him with his hand.
"He's awake. Let's cool the water down and give it to the baby. But I'm not sure if there's enough milk. When Changqing comes back, I'll ask him to get some formula."

Bai Ruozhen chuckled, "I didn't do anything. By the way, sister-in-law, do you want to go to the bathroom? The nurse said you have to go to the bathroom within two hours."
Wang Jun waved his hand, "No, I just want to sleep now."
"Then you go to sleep first, I'll take care of the child." Bai Ruozhen said as he quickly put the pillow in place for her to lie down.
Wang Jun had just laid down when Gu Changsong ran in. It was still quite cold at that time, and Gu Changsong was sweating profusely from running. When he saw Wang Jun, he breathed a sigh of relief. He walked to the bed, glanced at the child, and asked Wang Jun, "Does it hurt? Are you uncomfortable?"
"It doesn't hurt or feel uncomfortable anymore." Wang Jun said with a smile, his eyes falling on the child's face, full of happiness.
Bai Ruozhen blinked and said, "It doesn't hurt yet. It hurt so much that he cried and even told me on the way that he was dying."
"Is that true?" Gu Changsong's face turned pale. "Does it hurt so much?"
The auntie over there said, "Giving birth is bound to be painful. There's an old saying that goes, 'Giving birth is like going through the gates of hell.' We've all been through it."
Gu Changsong's face turned pale and he held Wang Jun's hand and sighed.
"Where is my brother Changqing?" Bai Ruozhen asked.
Gu Changsong said, "I went home to pick up my mother."
"Oh." Bai Ruozhen said, "Third brother, the doctor said that Third Sister-in-law won't be discharged until tomorrow. Go back and get a thermos and some milk powder. We came in a hurry and didn't bring any."
Gu Changsong stood up and asked, "Anything else you want to bring?"
Bai Ruozhen thought about it and said, "It should be gone." She didn't understand either.
In the end, it was the aunt over there who gave him a few instructions, and Gu Changsong hurried back.
After he left, the aunt in that room said, "The young wife is so lucky to have found such a good man." Then she looked at her own daughter. Because no one from her husband's family came to see her daughter after she gave birth to her daughter, if it weren't for her as a mother, her daughter would have died in the hospital.

Bai Ruozhen fed the child some water, and the child fell asleep in a daze. The room became quiet. Gu Changsong went back once and found that he had not brought the diaper, so he ran again.
When it got dark, Gu Changqing also came with Qiu Lanying. Qiu Lanying sat down in front of the bed and took Wang Jun's hand to comfort him. Then she went to look at the child and liked him more and more.
"You guys go back first. I'll take care of this place. Your third brother and I will take turns at night." Seeing that it was getting late, Qiu Lanying sent Gu Changqing and his wife back.
Bai Ruozhen was exhausted from the day's anxiety and didn't refuse. He and Gu Changqing went home, cooked, and then boiled water for a bath.
