Xu Qinghong never thought that a man would actually hit a woman, especially the kick on her waist which hurt so much that she knew there must be a bruise on her waist without even looking.
"You! You actually hit a woman?" Xu Qinghong cried out. "You're bullying me! This is outrageous."
Bai Ruozhen's mouth twitched, and he felt like laughing. How on earth did Xu Qinghong get into university? How come she was almost like a shrew in the village?
Not only was she puzzled, but other people in the room were also wondering, how could people who study nowadays behave like this?
Xu Qinghong's crying was so loud that it quickly attracted the attention of the dormitory supervisor. After inquiring about the reason, the supervisor said to Gu Changqing, "Comrade, how can you hit someone so casually?"
Gu Changqing glanced at Xu Qinghong with a cold expression, "If she hits my wife again, I'll hit her again."
"You!" Xu Qinghong clutched her waist and made a scene. "This isn't over yet."
Bai Ruozhen said righteously, "Comrade Xu Qinghong, this incident was caused by you, right? If you hadn't tried to hit me, would my man have hit you? Everyone else in the dormitory can testify to this."
"I didn't," Xu Qinghong argued. "I just wanted to stand up. I didn't mean to hit anyone."

"Exactly. Talking so rudely doesn't seem like a student at all."
Bai Ruozhen observed Xu Qinghong and saw panic on her face. Bai Ruozhen curled his lips in amusement, then turned to the dormitory supervisor and said, "Teacher, this matter really needs to be investigated thoroughly."
When the dorm supervisor heard that another student had testified, he wanted to make light of the matter, but another girl in the dormitory who had remained silent said, "Teacher, although this matter is small, it concerns the honor of Jingcheng University. Before admission, there is a political review. Character, knowledge, family background, I think there is something wrong with this student Xu Qinghong."
The teacher was startled, but seeing the seriousness of what the girl said, she nodded and said, "I'll go to the school to investigate."

Everyone else in the room woke up and couldn't help but get angry when they saw Xu Qinghong sitting on the bed. "Xu Qinghong, what are you doing?"
Xu Qinghong covered her face and cried, "Why are you bullying me?"
"Who bullied you? Don't you know that you are bullying others?"
Bai Ruozhen lay there without moving, turned over and prepared to continue sleeping.
Xu Qinghong got off the bed and stood beside Bai Ruozhen's bed, crying and sobbing, "Bai Ruozhen, I've already apologized to you, what else do you want? Why won't you let me go?"
Bai Ruozhen was so angry that she laughed. She sat up and looked at Xu Qinghong's miserable state. "Why wouldn't I let you go? Was it me who asked the teacher to investigate you? It was you who was guilty and aroused the teacher's suspicion, right? From the beginning, you were the one who bullied others and disobeyed the school rules. How can you blame me for this?"
Xu Qinghong narrowed her eyes, wanting to get angry but not daring to. She sniffed and forced herself to speak humbly, "Could you please talk to the teacher and stop investigating me?"
"What?" Bai Ruozhen looked at Xu Qinghong as if she had heard something funny. She said nonchalantly, "You don't really have a problem, do you?"
"No," Xu Qinghong quickly retorted. "I, I just feel embarrassed about being investigated. I wonder how others will view me."
"That's perfect." Bai Ruozhen ignored her and lay down again. "I'll investigate it thoroughly so that you can be cleared of all charges. Besides, it's useless for you to beg me. I don't know the teacher, and the teacher won't listen to me."
Hearing her say this, Xu Qinghong pursed her lips. After staring at Bai Ruozhen for a while and seeing that he was about to fall asleep, she said angrily, "Don't regret it."
"Yeah." Bai Ruozhen hummed and fell asleep.
Xu Qinghong was so angry that she scratched the wall, but Bai Ruozhen ignored her.
The next day was the official start of school. Bai Ruozhen and the people in the dormitory went to the classroom to get to know their classmates first. He did not have lunch with Gu Changqing at noon. It was not until the evening that the couple got together to have lunch.
Gu Changqing asked her, "That woman didn't cause you any more trouble, did she?"
Bai Ruozhen picked up some food and ate. "I guess she's under investigation. But she feels guilty. Maybe there's something wrong."
Bai Ruozhen's guess was right. A few days later, the school really investigated the matter. What surprised Bai Ruozhen and others was that this Xu Qinghong was not really Xu Qinghong, but Xu Qinghua, Xu Qinghong's cousin. However, Xu Qinghua's father was the secretary of their local commune, while Xu Qinghong was just a little girl from a farming family. After Xu Qinghua was admitted to university, her father withheld the admission letter. Then Xu Qinghong thought she had failed the exam, so she let her daughter replace Xu Qinghong to go to university.
There is actually such an operation!
Bai Ruozhen was simply amazed. Gu Changqing said, "There are probably many such cases. It depends on whether the school is willing to investigate."
As soon as this incident happened, some students suspected that there were such bad elements hiding in the school and demanded that the school conduct a thorough investigation.
At first, the school thought that there wouldn't be many such cases, so they only asked the counselors to observe secretly. Later, they discovered another case.
The school was shocked and immediately held a meeting to decide whether to hold the exam. The exam was released within three days and then the test was held. It was shocking to see over fifty students with severely discrepant scores. Many of those who could get into Beijing University were top scorers from various provinces and cities, or at least among the top students. Yet, they scored so low. Doesn't this speak volumes?
