Li Qiulan refused to budge, and Gu Changqing was unable to take out everything he had. Bai Ruozhen then said, "Mom, if nothing else works, can I take out the goji berries and make something for Lishan?"
"Why don't we wait until your dad comes back?" Li Qiulan took a sneak peek while Bai Ruozhen was getting something. Wow, there were deer antlers, a bun of kelp, and such big dried shrimps. How much would that cost?
Bai Ruozhen glanced at her and smiled, "Okay, but Mom, isn't it time for us to cook?"
"Ah, right." Li Qiulan was so confused by Bai Ruozhen's relationship that she even forgot to cook. Regardless of whether they were together or not, she still had to prepare a meal since they were here. "I'll go buy some groceries now."
Bai Ruozhen said, "Do you want us to go with you?"
Li Qiulan smiled, "No need." Then she instructed Bai Lishan, "Be good and behave at home."
Bai Lishan nodded obediently.
Li Qiulan went out with her vegetable basket. Bai Ruozhen took out a few pieces of White Rabbit candy from his bag and stuffed them into Bai Lishan's pockets. "Lishan, eat."
"Thank you, Second Sister." Bai Lishan peeled a piece and put it in his mouth, his eyes narrowed in enjoyment. "It's delicious."
"What a delicious thing!" Just then, the door opened and Bai Ruoyun came in, sweating profusely. She was startled to see Bai Ruozhen. "Second sister?" Then she glanced at Gu Changqing and guessed, "Is this my second brother-in-law?"
Gu Changqing was immediately happy, "Future brother-in-law."
Bai Ruoyun smiled sweetly, then walked up to Gu Changqing and bowed, "Hello, second brother-in-law."
Gu Changqing was even happier now. This little girl was just like what his daughter Zhenzhen said, full of cleverness. He dug into his pocket and pulled out a piece of White Rabbit. "Your reward."
Bai Ruoyun was immediately happy when she saw it, and bowed again, "Thank you, second brother-in-law."
In the inner room, Bai Ruoxin had been listening to the noise outside. When she heard a few people talking and laughing outside, she immediately became furious. She didn't know what good things the second brother's girlfriend had brought to make the two little bastards so happy.
Then she paused. It seemed that Bai Ruozhen's boyfriend's family was very wealthy. Now thinking back to what she had just seen, he seemed to have pretty good skin and didn't look like a farmer. Could he be a worker?

Gu Changqing glanced at her indifferently and nodded.
Bai Ruoxin's face froze and she continued, "You must be tired after the hard journey. I'll get you a glass of water." Then she quickly went to the kitchen to get some water.
Bai Ruozhen curled her lips and covered her mouth with her hands as she smiled at Gu Changqing. Gu Changqing looked at her helplessly and also found it amusing.
"Drink some water." Bai Ruoxin handed it to Gu Changqing.
Gu Changqing said calmly, "No need, I've already drunk it."
Bai Ruoxin stretched out her arm but Gu Changqing didn't take it, which made Bai Ruoxin feel a little embarrassed.
Bai Ruoxin was very flexible. She put the water back and came over to blame Bai Ruozhen, "Zhenzhen, I'm not saying anything bad about you, but why didn't you prepare food for the guests? You should at least go buy some vegetables with your mother."
Bai Ruozhen ignored her, and Bai Ruoxin frowned slightly, "Zhenzhen, why are you ignoring me? Do you still consider me your elder sister?"
"It's inappropriate." Bai Ruozhen said.
"You!" Bai Ruoxin wanted to lose her temper, but after looking at Gu Changqing, she suppressed her anger.
After a while, Li Qiulan came back. There were not many vegetables in the basket. At least she bought a piece of meat, but the quality was not very good.
Bai Ruozhen went over and said, "Mom, let me do it, you take a rest."
"Why should I take a break? I'm idle at home all day." Li Qiulan said as she cleaned the vegetables and cut the meat. "Zhenzhen, you're tired too. Go take a break."
Bai Ruozhen helped wash the vegetables, "Mom, don't worry about me."
Li Qiulan was stunned for a moment, "Good boy."
While the mother and daughter were talking, Bai Ruoxin saw that Bai Ruozhen was not there and hurriedly tried to curry favor with Gu Changqing. Unfortunately, Gu Changqing ignored her at all. Bai Ruoxin stayed in the cold for a long time but didn't get any benefit.
Bai Ruoyun rolled her eyes and ran to the kitchen, saying to Bai Ruozhen, "Second sister, eldest sister wants to steal your partner."
Without waiting for Bai Ruozhen to say anything, Li Qiulan scolded him directly, "Stop talking nonsense all day long."
Bai Ruoyun snorted, "If you don't believe it, then forget it." Then he turned around and ran out.
Bai Ruozhen didn't take it seriously, but Li Qiulan felt uneasy. She quickly snatched the things from Bai Ruozhen's hand and pushed her out, "Go and take a look. Don't let your elder sister talk nonsense."
