Chapter 225 Another Trouble

"Riding a horse?" The answer wasn't from Jiaming, but from Xiao Hongxuan, who had regained consciousness because of the arrival of the Tenth Master.

"right."

"Mother~?" Little Hongxuan looked at Jiaming with starry eyes, his childish voice drawn out as he pleaded.

When Jiaming saw that the Tenth Prince had come in person, and that the so-called horseback riding was definitely not for Hongxuan to ride by himself, and knowing that these princes all loved the little guy very much and would definitely not hurt him, she nodded and agreed, "Then I'll trouble you, Tenth Prince."

"No trouble at all, no trouble at all. What trouble is there in taking care of my own little nephew?"

Jiaming: Hehe, this only works with Xuan'er. As for the other young princes, do you think your words will still work? Will anyone believe you?

Of course, she wouldn't be so tactless as to tell anyone.

As Hongxuan and the Tenth Prince left, Jiaming's gaze never left Hongxuan. Fortunately, the Tenth Prince simply led Hongxuan on horseback within her sight.

"Hehe!" Jiaming laughed as she looked at it.

"Is Master in a good mood?" Hongtao asked casually as she handed over the poured tea.

“Xuan’er had a lot of fun.” As she spoke, Jiaming had a sudden inspiration, “Oh right, please prepare some paper and pens for me to draw sketches. I remember bringing them with me when I came.”

"Yes, I brought it. I'll find it for you right away." It was a sketching brush, not a calligraphy brush. Hongtao recognized it; sketching had only become popular in the capital in recent years.

For this reason, Jiaming was not worried about being exposed at all, since there were quite a few things that non-Qing Dynasty people (natives) knew.

She would start drawing and draw for a long time. When she got tired, she would finish drawing a small event, so she would stop drawing, bind it with thread like the little figurines sold in Beijing, tidy everything up, and then leisurely drink the flower tea made by Red Peach to rest.

Just then, Hongxuan's voice came from outside the carriage, "Mother!"

"You're back!" Jiaming said, putting down her teacup. She then put her arm around Hongxuan, who had been brought back to the carriage, and wiped his sweat while thanking the Tenth Master outside the carriage for taking Hongxuan out to play.

"You're too kind, Fourth Sister-in-law," Tenth Master waved his hand, adding, "I'll continue to visit Fourth Brother in the future." He then raised his whip and rode away.

"Mother."

"What's wrong?" Jiaming wiped her sweat and poked Hongxuan's puffed-up little face. "Weren't you having a lot of fun with your tenth uncle just now?"

Hongxuan opened his mouth, about to blurt out his unhappiness, but then he suddenly remembered his tenth uncle's refusal of his request. He had said that Mother wouldn't allow it either, so why bother? His eyes dimmed further, and he mumbled dejectedly, "It's nothing."

"Really?" Jiaming didn't believe him at all, but seeing the little guy's cold face, which resembled that of a master, and his refusal to speak, she had no choice but to distract him.

"Are you hungry? Here's your favorite cake."

"No, I don't want to eat."

It seems I'm really upset; even delicious food isn't enough to stop me.

Out of the corner of my eye, I saw the sketch that had just been drawn and bound, and suddenly an idea came to me.

"Xuan'er, your mother has something good to show you."

"don't want."

"Really, no, it's so beautiful!" she said, holding the book by the binding with one hand and moving her thumb across the flip pages with the other, causing them to rustle rapidly. The drawings inside came to life.

"Huh!"

Seeing that it had captured the little guy's attention, he immediately started flipping through the pages quickly again.

Then, a little Hongxuan was pulled down from the carriage by the Fourth Master... It jumped onto the Fourth Master's body, then jumped down... and then jumped up the tree... like a little monkey.

"Haha!" Xiao Hongxuan happily took the comic book from Jiaming's hand and quickly flipped through it, just like Jiaming had done.

Over and over again, laughter echoed, "Haha...hehe..." They had long forgotten their unhappiness upon returning and were now overjoyed.

Another day passed, and the Tenth Prince came to ask Hongxuan to go out and play again. As usual, Jiaming agreed and, as always, lifted a small corner of the curtain to peek out.

She painted for several days, then lost interest and just kept looking at the inconspicuous little corner.

"Master, Eighth Master wants to see you." A servant rode up to Tenth Master's place.

Tenth Master looked down at Hongxuan and asked, "Is Little Fourth Prince going with Tenth Uncle or...?"

Little Hongxuan blinked her bright eyes and then said in her childish voice, "No need, Xuan'er still wants to ride a big horse."

At this moment, the entire procession had stopped. During a short rest, the Tenth Prince thought for a moment and then instructed his trusted attendants, "You stay here and take care of the Fourth Prince at the Fourth Prince's residence. When the procession sets off again, if the Prince has not returned by then, you will escort him back to the carriage."

"Yes, sir!"

Inside the carriage, Jiaming watched through a small corner as the Tenth Prince departed, and then watched as Xuan'er was led by the guards to ride a large horse for a while before being carried off.

For some reason, a strange feeling washed over her. And as Hongxuan drew closer to the young princes who seemed to be arguing, this feeling grew stronger and clearer. It was as if Xuan'er was about to cause... trouble.

Just as she was thinking this, Hongxuan indeed caused trouble for Jiaming.

He really did resemble a little monkey, and in a flash, he nimbly leaped onto a little red horse (one of the young princes).

"Ah!" Everyone exclaimed in surprise.

Jiaming showed no restraint whatsoever, and in her shock, she cried out "Xuan'er!" Before she could finish speaking, she jumped down from the tall carriage, quickly grabbed a horse nearby, and galloped away, whipping it wildly.

She knew that little guy's personality all too well; he was incredibly bold. At the same time, she was also worried that without the presence of her husbands, they wouldn't be able to tame the unruly little guy.
