Chapter 250 Consort De is Unethical

Unlike Consort De, she did not respond to Hongxuan, as she believed Honghui would be alright.

Instead, he vaguely said some related things, but didn't give him a definite answer.

After all, based on her own medical skills, she couldn't guarantee the health of the eldest prince.

After discussing the matter of the First Prince Honghui, Consort De became somewhat melancholy due to her concern for him, and immediately lost the desire to continue chatting with Jiaming. "Just as I said, if you have any problems that you can't solve, just come to me."

At this point, Consort De suddenly added, "Never mind, I'll have my personal maid, Li Mama, take care of you for now. I'll have her come back when we get back."

"How can that be!" Jiaming refused. She didn't want someone following her around and controlling her. After all, this person was sent by Consort De, and she wasn't under their jurisdiction. If they kept making things difficult for her, she wouldn't be able to do anything about it, and that would be terrible.

The smile of Li Mama, who was serving her, immediately became a little stiff. She realized that she was being disliked!

Jiaming looked up at Consort De and immediately declined with a sincere expression, saying, "Granny Li is a capable person by Your Highness's side, serving Your Highness..."

Li Mama's stiff smile vanished instantly, and she thought to herself: So she was worried that Her Highness would have no one to serve her! At least she wasn't disgusted.

"No need to say any more!" Consort De immediately interrupted Jiaming, picked up a pastry and handed it to Hongxuan, then said, "I have people to serve me here. Besides, with Granny Li by your side, I am at ease, and I think Fourth Prince will be at ease too."

"Yes! Xuan'er can rest assured!" Hongxuan suddenly interjected.

Upon hearing this, Consort De and Jiaming both looked at the little guy.

Jiaming was seething with anger. The little brat was siding with outsiders, not only did he not help push his mother away, but he even helped push Granny Li towards him.

She forgot that Consort De was still the little guy's mother, so her side wasn't considered to be siding with outsiders.

Consort De was pulled out of her gloom by the little boy's words. No one dislikes a filial child. He's a good child. Thinking this, she hooked her little hand around Hongxuan's, her eyes crinkling, and said gently, "The little guy is so filial."

Both she and Jiaming had no doubt that the little one hadn't understood the conversation and was just making things up. They had always known that the little one was smarter than the average baby and couldn't possibly have misunderstood.

After speaking with Hongxuan, Consort De turned to look at Jiaming and said, "I heard from the Fourth Prince that because you are pregnant and have been vomiting, Hongxuan has been taken care of by him. Since it is inconvenient for you to take care of him, then you can leave him here with me!"

Jiaming hesitated, "This is too much trouble for Your Highness." She didn't mind Hongxuan staying, but she was worried that Consort De would get annoyed in a couple of days.

Consort De immediately said, "No trouble at all, it's settled then." How could she think that taking care of Hongxuan was a troublesome thing? She liked him very much. If it weren't for the inconvenience, she would have liked to take the little guy back to the palace to raise him.

Hongxuan, standing to the side, was displeased to see that his mother and Consort De had made the decision without consulting him.

"Mother, Mother, we haven't asked Xuan'er yet!" The little guy looked just like the Fourth Master when he was unhappy, his face tense, and he put on a cold and serious expression.

Consort De showed a sad expression, "Hongxuan, you don't want to stay with Mam? Alas, Mam is so happy to have you by her side!"

Jiaming watched Consort De's performance with a respectful expression, but inwardly she was very interested in evaluating Consort De's acting skills.

Hmm, that expression is so real; those movements are so real; that feeling, the sadness is palpable, that acting is amazing!

Sure enough, Jiaming saw that her son had been tricked.

“Hongxuan did not not want to.”

Consort De pressed on, saying, "Then Hongxuan will stay."

Hongxuan hesitated, "How about Xuan'er comes to see you every day?" The implication was that she still wanted to go back to her mother.

Jiaming: Feeling smug, haha, turns out I still hold a pretty good place in Xuan'er's heart.

Suddenly thinking of the Fourth Master, it seemed that Hongxuan cared more about the Fourth Master than about her, and Jiaming's smugness instantly diminished.

"Hongxuan is reluctant to part with his mother, isn't he?" Consort De said, a glint of light flashing in her eyes. She directly used Hongxuan's words, but turned the subject around, "You stay here to keep Mamu company, and go to see your mother every day."

After saying that, Consort De looked directly at Jiaming and said, "Your mother is too tired because she is pregnant with your younger brother and doesn't have the energy to spend time with you."

"It's my sister!" Xiao Hongxuan argued for a moment, then pondered for a while and felt that what his mother said seemed to make some sense.

The little one looked at Jiaming with a questioning gaze, and Jiaming nodded under Consort De's watchful eye.

Okay, the little guy immediately wilted a bit. His mother didn't have time for him, and he felt like his mother wasn't loving him anymore, so he was a little unhappy.

Consort De glared at Jiaming and immediately used Hongxuan's earlier argument that "it's my sister" to divert the little girl's attention.

"You just said your mother is pregnant with a girl..."

Jiaming was speechless after being glared at by Consort De.

Please, you were the one who gave me a look that signaled my agreement with you, but as soon as I nodded, Hongxuan wilted and started blaming me.

Your Highness, Consort De, that's not very fair!

Speaking of Consort De's unethical behavior, that is indeed true.

Since Granny Li started working for her, Jiaming's days became increasingly difficult.

Because of morning sickness, she could only eat what she made herself, which made Granny Li somewhat skeptical.

In the end, she agreed to let him cook for himself, but when he went into the kitchen to cook, Granny Li would follow him and keep a close eye on him.

The kitchen knife cannot be moved, and cold water cannot be used.

The oil in the pan was too hot, splattering everywhere. Worried, she wasn't allowed to put the food into the pan herself, not even allowed to use the spatula.
