Chapter 337 Sweet mouth, sweet heart

The words were spoken casually, clearly spoken by the Fourth Prince to Hongxuan.

Hongxuan obediently walked up to the Fourth Master. He was young and quite short. Even when the Fourth Master was sitting, he could only look up at the Fourth Master's nose.

"You did a good job today!" The words were casual, as if Hongxuan's performance today was nothing special.

In reality, the Fourth Prince thought Hongxuan had performed very well today. However, the Fourth Prince was clearly a strict father, so Hongxuan's excellent performance was noticeably diminished by the words he uttered.

But judging from the way Fourth Master couldn't help but pat Hongxuan's little head, it's clear that he greatly admires the little guy.

Xiao Hongxuan was praised, and thinking of his older brother who was mostly recovered, a warm smile spread across the little guy's face.

Seeing the little guy's happy and warm smile, Fourth Master felt much better, as the gloom in his heart caused by Honghui's illness was dispelled by the sunny smile.

Although he learned about today's events from others, he still personally asked Hongxuan about them.

It wasn't that he wanted to see if other people's words matched Hongxuan's, but rather, through this round of questioning, he wanted to find out Xuan'er's shortcomings and then teach him how to improve.

After the father and son had been talking for a while, a "gurgling" sound suddenly interrupted their conversation.

Fourth Master glanced at his fourth son, Hongxuan, whose stomach was growling, then thoughtfully shifted his gaze to the pastries on the table beside him that had been touched.

Hongxuan wasn't embarrassed at all. He said frankly, "I stayed at my elder brother's place for a while. I was a little hungry when I got back, so I ate a little. And then you came, Father."

"Then keep eating, we'll talk after you finish." With that, Fourth Master pushed the plate of pastries closest to him on the table toward Hongxuan.

“Father, you should eat too. I suppose you rushed back to see your elder brother and then came to your son’s place. I suppose you haven’t had anything to eat.” As he spoke, Hongxuan pushed the plate of snacks toward Fourth Master.

After saying this, he picked up the pastry he hadn't finished eating and turned to instruct the servant beside him: "Bring some more pastries, but not too sweet."

Upon hearing Hongxuan's words, Fourth Master knew that the not-too-sweet pastries were for him.

After all, Hongxuan isn't picky; he likes sweet things as long as they taste good, except for himself, who doesn't really like sweet things.

As the Fourth Master ate the not-so-sweet pastries, he felt a sweetness in his mouth, not in the pastries, but in his heart.
