Chapter 360 Little Jealous

The Fourth Prince, having understood, glanced speechlessly at Hongjing, who was vying for favor and jealous.

He should have been pleased with his precocious intelligence, but when the Fourth Prince saw that Hongjing, who was only a tiny little boy, already knew how to compete for favor and thus changed his eating preferences to eat things he didn't like, he felt that he wasn't so smart. Of course, he found it quite amusing!

"You little jealous person!" Jiaming poked Hongjing's forehead, amused and annoyed.

Hongjing didn't understand what "vinegar essence" meant for a moment, and his eyes were confused, which was extremely cute.

Upon seeing this, Hongxuan immediately exclaimed, "Little brother, you're so adorable!"

My brother praised me!

The little guy immediately felt awkward, both happy and frustrated, because his older brother had stolen his mother's affection as soon as he came back.

Seeing his adorable, conflicted expression, everyone laughed even harder.

“I didn’t expect you to be jealous of your older brother, thinking that your mother likes him more,” Hongxuan said with a smile, looking at Hongjing and explaining, “You’re overthinking it. Your mother just hasn’t seen your older brother for a long time. Now that he’s back, I’m paying more attention to him. Don’t worry, your mother still likes you very much.”

It took Xiao Hongjing a long time to process this long passage before he roughly understood what his "Guoguo" meant: that his mother liked his older brother, and his mother also liked him.

So, a somewhat bewildered look appeared in his eyes, tinged with a hint of doubt.

"Really!" Hongxuan nodded in affirmation, then said in an annoyed tone, "What Mother just said is quite right, you're such a jealous little thing."

Although he still didn't understand what "vinegar essence" meant, the little guy probably realized it wasn't a good word, so he opened his mouth and retorted in a childish voice, "No, essence."

Hongxuan blinked and couldn't help but continue teasing the little guy: "You're unhappy because of something as small as your mother putting food on my plate, and then you ignore your brother and your mother. When your brother eats meat, you have to eat it even if you don't like it. If you're not jealous, who is?"

Hongjing remained silent for a while, tilting his head as he pondered his brother Hongxuan's words, and finally understood.

But the little guy didn't want to admit it, stubbornly retorting, "No, it's pure."

Seeing Hongxuan about to continue teasing Hongjing, Jiaming quickly interrupted him, afraid that Hongxuan would go too far and the little guy would get angry. So, she compromised and said, "Okay, okay, Jing'er is not jealous. It's Mother's fault for neglecting our Fifth Prince Jing'er."

After seeing that his mother had admitted her mistake and confirmed that he wasn't jealous, the little guy raised his chin.

Seeing his younger brother Hongjing's smug little face, Hongxuan felt itchy and wanted to continue teasing him and competing with him.

The Fourth Prince had excellent eyesight; seeing Hongxuan's behavior, he immediately gave him a warning look.

Unaware of the commotion on the other side, Jiaming gently stroked the little guy's fluffy head, enjoying the soft touch while reassuring him, "Don't worry, Mother will never do it again. Mother loves Jing'er."

Hearing Jiaming's assurance, Hongjing's smile became even brighter.

“However,” Jiaming said, pausing as she touched Hongjing’s head before moving her hand down to cup his fair, delicate face.

A look of confusion appeared on Xiao Hongjing's smiling face as he stared at Jiaming with his dark, innocent eyes.

Jiaming put away her smile and looked serious, hoping that the little guy could see her sincerity from her earnest expression.

"Your mother is not only your mother, Jing'er, but also your brother's mother. Your mother loves you and your brother, and will treat you both well."

The little one blinked, processing Jiaming's words and translating them into meaning he could understand.

Jiaming looked at the little guy's blinking eyelashes, which were long. She glanced at the Fourth Master beside her; his eyes were just like his father's, long and very handsome.

Hmm, it feels like I've scratched an itch, and the little guy's eyelashes are so cute, I really want to kiss him.

Jiaming couldn't resist; her heart was moved, so she acted on it and immediately gave the little guy a kiss.

Hongjing, who had just realized that his mother truly loved him, was certain of her affection after receiving another kiss from her.

The little guy is too young to understand what shyness is; he just feels happy, so he expresses it that way.

The little guy, with a big smile on his face, said "Ee-e" and quickly kissed Jiaming, then said, "Xi-xi".

Jiaming smiled and stroked the little guy's fluffy head again. "I know, Jing'er likes Mother too. Mother is so happy that you like Mother."

After saying that, Jiaming moved her hand away from the little guy's head, picked up her chopsticks again, and prepared to continue feeding him.

Just then, Hongxuan couldn't resist chiming in. He was actually a little worried, since his younger brother had ignored him after returning home, except for being friendly to him at first.

"Little brother, I like you very much too. Do you only like your mother and not your brother?"

The little guy knew the answer in his heart: "I like it." He had been looking forward to his brother's return.

But the little guy is petty. He remembered that as soon as his older brother came back, he stole his mother's attention. He opened his mouth and said "I like you," but he didn't say it out loud.

Do you really not like it?

Thinking of this possibility, Hongxuan felt somewhat dazed.

Unwilling to give up, Hongxuan quickly said, "Brother gave you so many things, and I liked them all. Seeing that you liked them, I gave them all to you. For example, your favorite little golden abacus was also a gift from me! Also, when I was away, I drew a lot of pictures for you..."

Upon hearing this, the Fourth Master, standing nearby, had a glint of light flash in his deep eyes, but no one noticed.

Blah blah blah, Hongxuan rattled off a whole bunch of things in one breath. In short, he loved his younger brother so much, how could he not love his older brother?

Hongjing was still young, and at first he could barely understand the gist of Hongxuan's words, but the sentences were too long for him to comprehend.

So, Hongxuan, who was waiting for his younger brother's reply, was met with a bewildered look in Xiao Hongjing's eyes.

Hongxuan, misinterpreting the expression, immediately wilted!

As the saying goes, an outsider's perspective is clear. It's rare to see Hongxuan make a foolish move. Fourth Master and Jiaming smiled and continued to watch the show.

Suddenly, Hongxuan realized that his younger brother's expression just now was clearly one of confusion and not understanding, not an expression of refusal to answer or dislike.

He immediately perked up and asked again, "I like you very much, little brother. If you don't like me, I will be sad."

With the words much shorter, Xiao Hongjing understood. He had originally wanted to be petty and not answer his brother, but his brother said that he would be sad because he didn't like him.

Feeling much better knowing that his older brother liked him so much, the little guy nodded happily to Hongxuan.

Hongxuan immediately smiled, a warm and sunny smile.

That smile immediately caught the little guy's attention.
