The sounds of talking, laughter, and noise kept coming, and Jiaming could imagine how lively it was next door just by listening to them.
I thought things would quiet down next door soon.
Unexpectedly, after a while, the noise next door was still going strong.
Now, Jiaming couldn't stay in bed any longer. She didn't want to sleep next door, she wanted to sleep too! Besides, kids need to go to bed early.
I got up, put on my shoes, and went to the next room.
"Stop making noise and go to sleep!" Jiaming said sternly while knocking on the door.
The room fell silent. The two brothers exchanged a glance, smiled, and then responded.
"Okay!" Little Hongjing replied in his childish voice.
At the same time, Hongxuan quickly replied, "I'll go to sleep right away!"
In response, the two brothers lay back down on the bed. Hongxuan then pulled up the thin blanket to cover them both, and then whispered to Hongjing, "Go to sleep!"
"Mmm!" Hongjing obediently responded, then leaned closer to Hongxuan and kissed him on the cheek before closing his eyes.
Hongxuan was taken aback for a moment, then smiled and leaned closer to Hongjing, gently kissing his forehead before lying down on the bed and closing his eyes.
Feeling his brother kiss him on the forehead, Hongjing smiled, opened his eyes, looked at his brother Hongxuan who had his eyes closed, and then happily closed his eyes again.
The next morning, just as Jiaming had predicted, the two brothers were so affectionate that they couldn't stand each other even while having breakfast.
"Brother, it's delicious, here you go!" Little Hongjing said in his childish voice as he scooped a dumpling for Hongxuan with a spoon.
As Hongxuan ate, he picked up a steamed bun and gave it to Hongjing...
The two brothers were very affectionate, going back and forth, only having eyes for each other, ignoring her completely, and not even putting food on her plate.
I feel depressed and heartbroken!
Hmm, her stomach is having some indigestion again; she's been eating much less for breakfast.
