Chapter 455 Zhuangzi's Journey

In the study, Su Peisheng watched the Fifth Prince Hongjing's departing figure and couldn't help but say, "Master, it's fine if you just casually order the Fifth Prince to serve you tea and massage your back, but you keep him busy with so many things. What will happen if the Fifth Prince gets tired?"

With his back to Su Peisheng, Fourth Master chuckled and said, "That kid is in great shape and has plenty of energy. He won't get tired so easily. Besides, if we don't toughen him up like this and teach him a lesson, what will we do if he keeps doing dangerous things?"

Su Peisheng paused, speechless to himself: Master, you've punished him before, even fined him money and the white jade unicorn ruler, which were the Fifth Prince's favorites. He's learned his lesson.

Furthermore, you're probably not just worried that he's always doing dangerous things, but that those things might get you into trouble!

"What's with that expression?" Fourth Master turned around and looked at Su Peisheng with narrowed eyes, asking dangerously.

"It's shocking! Master, your move was brilliant!" Su Peisheng immediately flattered Fourth Master.

Fourth Master snorted coldly, turned around and walked out of the study.

A day later, the Fourth Master took Jiaming and his children to a manor on the outskirts of Beijing.

Fourth Master didn't ride in a carriage, but on horseback. Hongjing and Hongshi saw this and wanted to ride too.

Fourth Master thought to himself that the horsemanship and archery instructors had been teaching him for a long time, especially Hongshi, and it was time for him to practice.

As for the youngest son, he was so bold that he rode a big horse all by himself. According to the fourteenth prince, if it weren't for his small, three-headed appearance, he probably wouldn't have stopped him.

Judging from this, the fifth son, Hongjing, is a decent horseman, and with guards watching over him, there's nothing to worry about.

So, the Fourth Master nodded and agreed, but he allowed them to ride ponies instead.

They were happy to be able to ride a pony, but Hongjing, who had ridden a big horse before, pouted at the thought of only being able to ride a pony.

Of course, the little guy still remembered the pain of being hit, and how he had to appease his father for a long time after he got angry before he could go to the village. So, he quickly adjusted his mindset and a smile appeared on his face.

If you can't ride a big horse, riding a small horse to have some fun is fine too.

As he rode, Hongshi suddenly shifted his thigh uncomfortably. He moved his lips as if to say something, but when he saw his fifth brother riding ahead, still full of energy despite his three-headed figure, he was surprised.

Doesn't Fifth Brother feel pain from having his thighs rubbed raw?

Riding on the little horse, feeling the breeze on his face, smelling the fresh air, and watching the different scenery along the road after leaving the city gate, the little guy squinted his eyes and was thoroughly enjoying himself.

Seeing how well his little fifth brother was riding a horse, Hongshi didn't want to give others the impression that he was inferior to a little baby. So, he gritted his teeth and persevered, even though his thighs were chafed and sore.

But as he persevered, his legs still ached terribly. Hongshi, who had been pampered and spoiled since childhood, couldn't help but tear up.

Inside the carriage, the pale and thin Honghui lifted the curtain and looked enviously at Hongshi and Hongjing, and even the Fourth Prince.

As he looked around, his eyes became misty as he recalled his childhood, when he was still relatively healthy and would ride horses around the training ground.

Unfortunately, he had never ridden a horse outside and didn't know the difference between riding a horse on the road and riding a horse in the training ground.

In another carriage, Jiaming lifted the curtain, glanced enviously at Hongjing and the Fourth Master riding horses, then lowered the curtain and began brewing tea inside the carriage.

At the same time, he comforted himself, thinking that once they got to the manor, he would be able to ride a horse. His master had said he would personally teach him.

Just as Jiaming thought, Fourth Master really did keep his word.

However, he did not begin teaching him as soon as they arrived at the estate. Instead, he rested and toured the estate for a day, and the next day, he had someone bring out a light blue riding outfit.

Upon seeing it, Jiaming immediately understood that it was for her.

Sure enough, the Fourth Master's voice was heard immediately: "Put on your riding clothes first."

"You're so thoughtful, Master!" Jiaming praised the Fourth Master, took the riding clothes, and went into the inner room.

Fourth Master: I understand now. You've never ridden a horse before, and none of your men know how to ride. I bet you don't know much about riding equipment either.

Just then, Hongjing ran over.

"Father, aren't we going out to play?" He grabbed Fourth Master's hand and urged him, looking up at him.

Fourth Master shook off Hongjing's hand and said in a gentler tone, "You can go play by yourself, or with your eldest brother or third brother. Bring your guards and go wherever you want."

"Father, aren't you going?" the little guy asked in confusion.

"Teach your mother to ride a horse."

The little guy suddenly remembered that his father had promised his mother some time ago.

Fourth Master: "If you want to go horseback riding, you can come along too."

Hongjing shook his head, "No, I rode enough yesterday. Today, I want to try something else." Of course, if he could ride a big horse, he would go along.

"Then go play by yourself." Not long after Fourth Master dismissed Hongjing, Jiaming came out wearing a light blue riding outfit.

With her fair, baby-faced features and slender figure, Jiaming wore a light blue riding outfit. Instead of exuding heroic spirit, she radiated a youthful aura.

At first glance, with her beaming smile, she looks like a lively young girl of fifteen or sixteen.

Fourth Master couldn't help but touch his face.

"What happened to your face, sir?" Jiaming's smile faltered, and her brows furrowed slightly.

Fourth Master paused, then casually put his hand down, his face tense, and shook his head, saying, "It's nothing."

Jiaming looked at Fourth Master with a puzzled expression. If there was nothing wrong, he would touch her face. This was a rare sight for him!

Forget it, if he doesn't want to talk about it, let's just pretend we don't know!
