Chapter 6 Warehouse Password

“My name is Hu Hongxia, but they all call me Sister Xia.”

The woman had been freed from under the cargo box and was leaning against the wall. Under the bright light, her face appeared eerily pale, and her eyes stared blankly at the ground.

Lin Xi found some tools in the supermarket and helped her bandage her broken leg.

Looking at Lin Xi's clumsy movements, Hu Hongxia couldn't help but wonder, "Are you born with a disability that makes it difficult for you to speak?"

Lin Xi thought for a moment, not wanting to explain further, and nodded in agreement.

"Why are you wearing so much when it's so hot?"

The tone was tinged with concern, but Lin Xi felt that she was implying something.

The air fell silent, and Hu Hongxia then realized that she had spoken out of turn.

"Hey girl, I'm so sorry, but I have a niece who always dresses like you when she goes out. She's photosensitized, and I was wondering if you are too?"

A look of guilt rose on her face, her hands fell limply to her sides, and a sudden pang of heartache welled up in her eyes.

“She had a bad life; she passed away before she even turned 18.” Hu Hongxia looked at her with some pity. “Child, seeing you reminds me of her.”

Lin Xi thought to herself, "Speaking of which, my eighteenth birthday is in five months."

Originally, her parents said they would prepare a grand coming-of-age ceremony for her, but now they don't know if they will be able to wait until she turns 18.

In a post-apocalyptic world, who can truly be considered lucky?

Finally, after tying a knot in the gauze, Lin Xi took out her phone and typed: I can't take you away, at most I can find you a relatively safe room.

After reading it, Hu Hongxia nodded: "I'm already very grateful that you're willing to help me find a safe place! Sister, I know where there are rooms."

This was a pleasant surprise, as it saved us the trouble of manually moving her out.

“The floor above leads directly to the building next door. That’s our headquarters.” She pointed to the east. “On the same floor, there’s a small lounge. It’s fully equipped with tables, beds, and kitchenware. You can just deliver it there to me.”

It doesn't sound that far.

Only when she started walking did Lin Xi realize just how difficult the road was.

She put one of Hu Hongxia's hands on her shoulder, completely ignoring the fact that the person on her weighed a full 150 pounds and had great difficulty taking a step.

As she walked, she thought to herself, "This aunt really should lose some weight. Obesity increases the risk of disease and is generally bad for her health."

As he walked into the fresh fruit section, a cart suddenly slid past him, the sharp sound of its wheels scraping against the floor seeming like a merciless mockery: You idiot, why don't you use me!

She was a little embarrassed. It was as if she had lost her mind after finishing the college entrance examination. Wasn't there still a cart for hauling goods?

She put Hu Hongxia down, sternly warning her not to make any noise that would attract zombies, before going back to the freezer and pushing the cart over.

In less than ten minutes, she delivered the person to their destination. Indeed, brute force is the most foolish way to solve problems.

Arriving at the relatively cramped lounge, which also had a small kitchen and a small bathroom, Hu Hongxia sat on the edge of the bed and suddenly reached out to take out a pen and paper.

"Hey girl, how about this? I'll write down all the warehouse passwords on a piece of paper, and you can take whatever you need, okay?"

Lin Xi nodded, "That's great!"

This way, I can go to each warehouse and see if there's anything useful. I can make a note of it and come back a few more times later.

Back at the entrance of the cold storage, she picked up the backpack she had just left behind and began to take inventory of each warehouse one by one.

If she hadn't turned into a zombie, the supplies here would probably have been enough for her to survive for several years.

Unfortunately, there are no "what ifs".

In addition to some grain warehouses, Hu Hongxia even wrote down the passwords for the appliance warehouses.

Lin Xi completed the task ahead of schedule, and the system sent her a congratulatory message.

[Congratulations, host, on completing the mission. Your reward is 50 points.]

[You only need 100 more points to redeem supplies, keep up the good work, host!]

Lin Xi ignored him and focused intently on cutting meat with a knife in the kitchen.

That's right, she wanted to make the most of everything and give what she didn't need to those who did.

She counted six people in the group chat and divided all the supplies into six portions. After doing this, she opened the door and placed the six portions of supplies at the doors of the six households.

After returning home, she quickly took out her mother's phone, changed the nickname "2005" to a capital letter "X", and changed the profile picture to a blank sheet of paper.

X: I've left three days' worth of supplies at everyone's door. Please be careful when collecting them.

The language was very simple and easy to understand, and the group chat immediately went wild!

1803: Holy crap, are you a zombie spy? You tricked me into opening the door?! [Angry]

1105: What are the ingredients? And what's with the "X"? Are you an idiot?

0803: There's no need for everyone to curse, maybe it's true.

2001: Are there still living people?

1803: Yeah, we've been chatting all day, and you're only coming out now? What are you up to?

1704: What supplies? (Confused)

0804: I definitely saw a figure flash by just now. I thought it was a zombie, and I was so scared I didn't dare make a sound. "Coward"

Lin Xi already knew they wouldn't believe her, so she sent a few more pictures. The entire group remained silent.

A moment later:

0804: Holy crap!

1105: Holy crap!

2001: Holy crap!

1803: Holy crap!

1704: Holy crap!
