"Welcome to Worry-Free Island! This is a paradise where there is no discrimination, no displacement, and no hunger! Zombies who can control their own behavior can walk openly on the streets just like humans!"
Xiao Er tilted his head, wondering what this person, surrounded by a crowd and gesturing wildly on the stage, was doing.
The man next to him let out a cold laugh, "Fool."
How dare you!
The waiter was very angry.
Who on earth is this person?! How dare they call him stupid?
He turned around abruptly, his eyes wide with anger.
The man next to him didn't even glance at him, not even sparing him a single look.
Realizing something was wrong, the waiter immediately deflated and silently turned back.
I think I misunderstood.
It turns out he was criticizing the man on stage who was giving a passionate speech with spittle flying everywhere.
Lin Xi noticed the waiter's expression and followed his gaze.
She froze for a moment.
That back view looks so familiar.
Lin Xi seemed to be in a daze, walked straight up to him, and patted him on the back.
"elder brother."
The man turned his head, a slight look of doubt on his face. "Miss, do we know each other?"
After seeing the face clearly, Lin Xi involuntarily took a step back.
The man had wheat-colored skin, plain features, and many closed comedones on his forehead.
She's not very good-looking.
This is not Lin Wang.
Lin Xi then realized how abrupt her words had been and quickly apologized, "I'm so sorry, I mistook you for someone else."
A fleeting look of disappointment crossed the man's face. Seeing her embarrassed expression, he simply nodded and gave a soft "hmm."
Lin Xi turned and left, and although Xiao Er found it strange, he followed closely behind Lin Xi.
The eldest sister remained standing outside the crowd.
Upon seeing the two people walking one after the other, the eldest sister keenly sensed the oppressive atmosphere surrounding Lin Xi.
"What's wrong?"
"It's nothing." Lin Xi lowered her head slightly. She knew that she must look terrible, and she didn't want her older sister and the others to see it.
"Let's find a place to stay first." Lin Xi finally composed herself and forced a relaxed smile.
The older sister nodded.
Xiao Er walked down the street, following behind them like a tail.
The little baby swung his arms and legs, attracting the attention of passersby and drawing many glances.
However, many people were whispering and discussing the explosive doll behind Xiao Er.
A few of them, with their unique aesthetic sense, stared at the strangely shaped doll with sparkling eyes.
"Ugly-cute, so adorable!"
Walking on this street, Lin Xi felt as if she had returned to the capital city, with its constant flow of people.
Back in the capital, both humans and zombies were allowed to enter, but clearly, there were more zombies here.
They walked freely and openly on the streets, just like any other human being.
The other people on the street didn't give them any strange looks either.
It is clear that, as the man on stage just said, there is no discrimination here, and the tolerance for zombies is really very high.
The waiter looked around and grinned sheepishly.
This place is wonderful!
Lin Xi found a hotel, and fortunately, the currency used here wasn't some strange cloud beads or anything like that, but crystal cores.
"A low-level crystal core can be used for one night, and a mid-level crystal core can be used for five nights."
The receptionist looked impatient.
A mid-level zombie, whose consciousness was still somewhat muddled, had a blank look in his eyes and placed his fists on the stage.
With a whoosh, the crystal core fell out from between his palms.
The waitress glanced at it briefly, then frowned with disdain. "One hundred ordinary crystal cores are required."
The mid-level zombie lowered its head, its voice dry and hoarse, "Oh, I took the wrong one."
After saying that, he took out ten low-level crystal cores from his pocket.
The waitress quickly operated the computer and handed over a room key, saying, "302, the second room on the third floor."
"Next!"
Lin Xi stepped forward and said, "I need a suite with three rooms."
The waitress looked Lin Xi up and down. She didn't look like a rich person, yet she asked for a suite right away. Does she have money?
A hint of impatience crossed her face. "One mid-level crystal core for one night."
Lin Xi remained expressionless and took out ten coins from her bag. "I'll order for ten days first."
The waiter's expression changed slightly, and his eyes instantly became respectful. "Okay, please wait a moment, I'll process it for you right away."
The waitress handed over a room key with both hands.
"Dear customer, your room number is 312, the leftmost room on the third floor. Have a pleasant day."
My older sister has seen this kind of person in TV dramas; they all have a common name: snobs.
Anyway, it's not a good thing.
Thinking of this, the eldest sister stood up straight and looked at her with disdain.
The waitress still had a warm smile on her face.
Take care.
Lin Xi walked up to the third floor and saw two familiar faces.
One was the zombie who had just checked into the hotel in front of her, and the other was the man she had mistaken for her brother earlier that day.
The zombie stood blankly at the door of room 312, repeatedly placing his ID card on the sensor area, looking puzzled. Why wasn't the door opening?
He didn't believe in superstitions and rearranged the card at various angles.
The door remained closed.
The waiter's expression was exactly the same as the older sister's when she looked at him. He couldn't help but walk over, pat the mid-level zombie, and point behind him, "Roar roar roar roar roar!"
Wrong room! You idiot! You live in the one in the back!
However, the meaning he wanted to convey was completely ignored by the other party.
The mid-level zombie turned around and saw him, its body involuntarily trembling.
