Chapter 19 Bai Ze

=====================

The Sutra Repository has a total of seven floors, and each floor has its own realm requirements.

The first level has the lowest requirements, and everyone can come in. The second level requires the Foundation Establishment Stage, the third level requires the Golden Core Stage, the fourth level requires the Nascent Soul Stage, the fifth level requires the God Transformation Stage, and the sixth level is where the sect’s secrets are placed, and only the great masters of the Universe Realm and some cultivators with special positions within the sect can reach it.

As for the seventh floor, it is home to Bai Ze, the only spiritual beast in the world and belonging to their Jitian Sect.

There are a total of nine grades of monsters, of which grades one to three are low-grade, corresponding to the Qi Refining Stage and Foundation Establishment Stage in human cultivation; grades four to six are middle-grade, corresponding to the Golden Core Stage in human cultivation; and grades seven to nine are high-grade, corresponding to the Nascent Soul Stage, the Spirit Transformation Stage, and the Universe Stage in human cultivation.

The little fox Xue Zhui is now at the fifth level, which is the Jindan stage of humans. In fact, his level is higher than Zhong Xiaotian, but his ability is rather special. In front of the strange fat Sanhua, he cannot show his strength.

Zhong Xiaotian took the two little monsters and started climbing the stairs.

Quite a few people have come to the Sutra Repository by now, with the most people on the first floor. After all, the requirements are the lowest and the most basic and richest contents are there. Even cultivators of a higher realm will occasionally come to borrow books.

Only cultivators in the Foundation Establishment Stage can enter the second floor, so there are already fewer people there. By the third floor, only cultivators in the Golden Core Stage can enter.

"There are not many people here." Fat Sanhua looked around and found everything amazing.

"Yeah." The little fox nodded. He also discovered it.

"Can you see what's happening on the third floor?" Zhong Xiaotian suddenly spoke.

"Meow?" Fat Sanhua raised his head.

Yes, what is there that cannot be seen? This white puppy can see it too.

"Each floor of the Sutra Library has a level requirement. If you don't meet it, you can't go in. I can only go up after I get a pass token."

"Although I have the pass token and can go to places above my level, I still cannot see what's going on there. I can only see the stairs." Zhong Xiaotian explained to the two of them.

"I am still in the Foundation Establishment stage and can only reach the second floor. From the third floor onwards, I can't see anything. If you can see the third floor now, it means you are at least in the Golden Core stage." There seemed to be a little dissatisfaction in Zhong Xiaotian's tone. These two little monsters were already in the Golden Core stage or above, but she was still only in the Foundation Establishment stage.

Then they went to the fourth floor. The fourth floor could only be seen by those in the Nascent Soul stage. This time, even the little fox Xue Zhui, who was only at the fifth level, could not be seen.

"Can you still see?" Xue asked the fat cat held in Zhong Xiaotian's arms.

"Of course I can see it." Fat Sanhua curled his lips.

However, this time not only Xue Zhui, but even Zhong Xiaotian didn't believe it.

Whether it is a cultivator in the Nascent Soul stage or a high-level monster, they are all very rare existences.

Take their Jitian Sect for example, the masters of each peak are generally at the Nascent Soul stage, and so is the sect leader. If we talk about monsters, there are even fewer, and high-level monsters are rarely seen nowadays.

Fat Sanhua didn't make any further excuses.

He can really see it.

Alas, he didn't expect that the immortal that their old emperor had been praying for for so long would just look at him at his own feet. The immortals he thought about day and night were not as powerful as a fat cat like him.

From what these two said, it seemed that he was already a very powerful person, which made Fat Sanhua feel a little surprised but also reasonable.

When they reached the fifth floor, Little Fox and Zhong Xiaotian did not ask Fat Sanhua any more questions. Fat Sanhua was too lazy to answer since he was not asked. He was shocked by himself. Was he such a powerful being?

Then it was the sixth floor, and Fat Sanhua on the sixth floor found that he could actually see it too. He was now calm.

Finally, they reached the seventh floor.

Unlike the floors below, the seventh floor looks quite plain, with almost no furnishings inside. It looks more like a room for people to live in than a scripture repository.

The room was dimly lit and the doors and windows were tightly closed.

"Master Bai Ze, I would like to ask you to help me see if these two little demon beasts are spiritual beasts." Zhong Xiaotian was shouting below, but he was quite polite when he came up.

Bai Ze has been in Jitianmen for thousands of years. No one knows exactly how many years, but we only know that he has been here for a very long time, quite a long time, so the disciples of Jitianmen respectfully call him their lifelong master.

Xue Zhui squatted at Zhong Xiaotian's feet, and Fat Sanhua also curiously poked his round head out from Zhong Xiaotian's arms and looked outside.

After Zhong Xiaotian finished speaking, a gust of wind suddenly blew in the closed room, the gauze curtains on the bed were blown by the wind, and a figure slowly walked out from the middle.

Fat Sanhua and the little fox looked closely and saw a large ball of white fluff there.

The little fox opened his mouth wide. Although he had not seen the true face of the spiritual beast Bai Ze, the little dog had already become envious.

This body shape is exactly what he has always dreamed of. He wants to be a big and majestic fox. Unfortunately, he is very small and can only look at other big monsters with envy.

Sure enough, this is a spiritual beast. This is a spiritual beast. How can a cat as small as Fat Sanhua be a spiritual beast?

Bai Ze slowly walked out of the gauze tent.

"Master, why did you become so big? I just asked you to take a look to see if these two little monsters are spirit beasts. I didn't ask you to fight. Also, why did you make the room so dark? I can't see you clearly." Zhong Xiaotian frowned his nose, very puzzled.

Bai Ze: “…”

That's why he hated people from Qifeng the most, and they would expose his true colors right away.

Bai Ze glanced at the two little monsters and found that they were also a small group.

Xue Zhui, who was full of envy just now, saw the huge monster in front of him shrink into a small ball about the same size as him in a second, and the room finally became bright, and they saw the true face of the white ball.

"It's not white, it's also gray." Fat Sanhua blinked his eyes, finding it very interesting.

Bai Ze almost couldn't maintain his expression.

Bai Ze glanced at Fat Sanhua, then turned his gaze to the little fox squatting at Zhong Xiaotian's feet.

Oh my god!

Isn't this the snow-white fur he has always dreamed of?

He secretly glanced at his gray hair and was very envious of the little white fox opposite him.

He wanted white fur, too.

He didn't know why his hair was gray even though he had Bai Ze's blood. This made him very depressed.

But now he is the powerful Jitianmen's ancestor spirit beast Bai Ze. Looking at these two younger generations, Bai Ze kept his expression steady.

Zhong Xiaotian was unaware of the turbulence involved. She took two steps forward and put Fat Sanhua on Bai Ze's bed. She also bent down and put the little fox on Bai Ze's bed.

"This is a bed." Bai Ze finally couldn't help it, he complained to Zhong Xiaotian in dissatisfaction.

Fat Sanhua and Xue Zhui both recognized that Bai Ze was not speaking the language of monsters, but was speaking human language.

"I know, it's okay, I will clean it up before I leave." Zhong Xiaotian bent down and patted her honorable master's head, feeling that her master still had as much to do as ever.

Bai Ze pushed away Zhong Xiaotian's hand. It was no use. He couldn't talk to this little girl anymore. If he said one more word to her, his image would be ruined even more.

So he turned his attention back to the two little monsters in front of him.

"Can you speak now?" Bai Ze has been in Jitianmen for thousands of years and has identified countless monsters.

Hey, why do these people refuse to believe that he is the only spiritual beast in the world? Is it necessary to identify it?

Spiritual beasts can all speak human language. He didn't need to ask to know that the two in front of him definitely couldn't speak human language.

He was just going through the motions.

“Meow meow meow~” You’re not dumb, so why can’t you speak?

Fat Sanhua was very curious about Bai Ze, who was called a spiritual beast. He looked him up and down.

This spirit beast looked quite like a sheep, with long, fluffy, and slightly curly fur. Bai Ze managed to suppress it with magic, but it was still quite bloated.

"I'm not talking like that, I'm talking like human language, just like how Xiaotian and I talk. Can you two do it?" Bai Ze looked at the fat Sanhua in front of him with dissatisfaction.

The people from Jitianmen are becoming more and more unreliable. No matter how you look at it, those little demon beasts that were sent to him for identification before still have some flavor of spiritual beasts.

For example, they look very different, or have some special abilities.

Although the final results prove that they are not spiritual beasts, they are also powerful mutant monsters that should not be underestimated.

But what about this fat calico in front of me? Is the strange thing about him just that he is so fat?

This thing doesn't even look like a monster, it just looks like an ordinary fat cat. However, the little white fox next to it is quite interesting.

"I'm not a human, why should I speak human language? If you have the ability, let Xiaotian follow me and speak cat language." Fat Sanhua was very unconvinced when he heard this. He began to understand that the way to identify spiritual beasts was to see whether they could speak human language.

Why? Their master can't even speak cat language.

Bai Ze stretched his neck, moved closer to Fat Sanhua, and sniffed his scent.

He narrowed his eyes.

Logically speaking, the little monster wouldn't have such clear logic.

Low-level monsters are not much different from ordinary animals. They only have the intelligence of a five- or six-year-old human. Mid-level monsters can barely be ten years old, and high-level monsters, especially those that have reached level nine, can be treated as ordinary people for communication.

But does this thing look like a high-level monster?

"What kind of monster are you?" Bai Ze asked again.

"Meow~" A cat.

Bai Ze: “…”

Bai Ze felt that he would not be able to get any useful information from him, so he looked up at Zhong Xiaotian who was watching with great interest beside him.

"We brought him here because we didn't know about it. If we have to say it, it should be a cat." Zhong Xiaotian answered as a matter of course.

Bai Ze: “…”

In order to relax himself, Bai Ze turned his head to look at the well-behaved little fox squatting beside him.

“What about you, can you speak, and what kind of monster are you?
