Chapter 23 (Revised)
Even though Song Zhiyi controlled his strength when subduing Guan Juan, some noises were inevitably made during his movements.
Song Zhiyi opened the door and stuck his head out to fool the staff who came to inquire. Then he turned around and closed the door, and said to Guan Juan: "So, you came here just to support me, and then let me take the initiative to find President Chen to cancel the soft ban on Li Jinshan?"
Guan Juan nodded vigorously, her mouth covered by her tie, only her eyes were open, desperately conveying her expectation and prayer.
"I'm not saying this, how shameless do you have? Or do you think I have more face?" Song Zhiyi crossed his arms and leaned against the wall behind him. His hair fell down by his ears, just in front of his eyes. "Let's not talk about whether my words will work for Mr. Chen. Even if they do, why should I help you?"
"%#@&%..." Guan Juan's mouth was blocked, and she could only make some confused sounds. Sweat seeped down her hair, sticking her forehead into strands, and then slid into her eyes.
He blinked quickly, his small eyes filled with regret.
It was all her fault... No, that's not right. It was all Li Jinshan's fault. He asked her to find a way to lift the ban. How could she be so capable? She didn't even have Chen Yuning's personal contact information. If she hadn't been forced into a corner, how could she have thought of threatening Song Zhiyi to get her to pull the strings?
I originally thought she was just a young girl, with no family background other than her brother being a celebrity. I thought I would just scare her and she would do whatever she said. But who knew I would end up getting caught.
Guan Juan was so angry and resentful that she didn't even hear what Song Zhiyi said.
Snap——
Song Zhiyi snapped his fingers, and when Guan Juan looked up, he said, "You are not holding a grudge against me for what happened yesterday, so you came here to take revenge on me, right?"
She was talking about the conflict that happened by the water, but Guan Juan thought she was exposing her past and kept shaking her head to deny it.
Song Zhiyi untied Guan Juan's tie and heard her flatteringly say, "It's all a misunderstanding, a misunderstanding. I just came here to look for someone and I went the wrong way."
The restraints were suddenly loosened, and Guan Juan even had saliva flowing out from the corners of her mouth when she spoke, which she sucked back in.
Song Zhiyi smiled coldly, picked up the tie with two fingers and threw it into the trash can: "Misunderstanding? You are breaking the law, do you know that?"
"This, this..." Guan Juan's eyes rolled around and she said unsurely, "Nothing happened, how can it be considered illegal?"
Song Zhiyi leaned over and stared at her for two seconds, until she began to tremble slightly. Then he curved his eyebrows and said harmlessly, "This matter is not up to you."
…
The police car came roaring over and drove away roaring again.
The incident was so high-profile that filming was forced to stop. The photographers who were waiting in ambush were like cats that smelled fishy smell. In just ten or twenty minutes, a lot of spliced pictures and videos appeared on the Internet, in which real and fake stories were mixed together, and each one was made to look very convincing.
The director was looking at the blog posts on his phone, his eyebrows were almost twisted into knots, and he asked the people around him: "What happened to Master Xiao Song? Who was taken away?"
"I heard it was a woman," the man stretched his neck to look outside, "Boss Chen told us not to disturb Master Xiao Song, so how dare I ask..."
"Hey, here he comes. Master Xiao Song is here."
A man hurried over and winked at them as he ran.
Several people immediately sat up straight, their hands busying around, only quietly pricked up their ears.
The last person who came over whispered, "I found out that the person taken away by the police was Guan Juan."
The director asked: "Guan Juan? Wasn't she fired? Why is she here?"
"I heard it, just heard it," the man looked around cautiously and lowered his voice, "Guan Juan hid in Master Xiao Song's room, and seemed to be up to something bad."
"Unfaithful?! But, but doesn't Guan Juan only harm male artists?"
“…”
"Sister, what's going on with Guan Juan?" Song Zhiyu followed Song Zhiyi with a limp, but was forced to lag far behind the crowd and didn't find out anything.
"That's what happened. She had a conflict with me yesterday and came here to warn me out of anger. Now she has done something wrong and is now in jail herself."
Song Zhiyi answered with a slightly raised voice, and at the same time gave Song Zhiyu a look that told him to talk about it when he got back.
Song Zhiyu understood what she meant. He followed behind Song Zhiyi on crutches and watched her put snacks on the tray one by one. He suddenly said, "You haven't eaten yet?"
"It's too late." She was busy dealing with Guan Juan. After asking her what she wanted to do, she called the police and asked for a lawyer. By the time she was done, the lunch boxes were gone. There were still some ingredients in the kitchen, but her cooking skills were only good enough to fry eggs, so there was no need to waste food.
Song Zhiyi found a stool and sat down. He tore open a small piece of bread and took a bite. He said vaguely, "You haven't started filming yet? When will it be finished?"
"It should be almost time now that the police have left." Song Zhiyu looked down at his phone, not knowing what he was doing.
Song Zhiyi glanced over, cleared his throat and said, "See?"
"I see." Song Zhiyu said solemnly, "How come this crappy place doesn't even have a takeaway?"
"..." Song Zhiyi choked and reminded helplessly, "Check Weibo."
"Oh." Song Zhiyu consciously quit eating, clicked on Weibo, handed his phone over, and said kindly, "This is a small account, you can use it without worry, it's okay if you slip up."
Song Zhiyi rolled his eyes to the sky, poked it twice with his hand, and then returned the phone.
"What? Isn't this what you wanted to see?" Song Zhiyu muttered and took the phone out of his pocket. He saw a familiar profile picture, "Li Qiujin? Apologize?"
On the screen was a blog post published by Li Qiujin on her official account, in which she responded earnestly to the previous "slip of the hand" and ghost picture incidents, and at the end she apologized to Song Zhiyu, the victim. The text was densely packed, and a rough scan showed that there were probably nearly a thousand words.
Song Zhiyu raised her head, her eyes sparkling, "Sister, how did you do that?"
"Small question, aren't you always angry about his fans photoshopping you a ghost picture? I told Guan Juan that if she could apologize to you on a public platform, I would not pursue her behavior of hiding in the B&B room. I thought she would be fine with posting it using her studio account, but who knew she was so stupid that she actually posted it directly using Li Qiujin's account."
Song Zhiyi put the bag of bread that he had barely finished eating aside and stared at the remaining snacks. The taste of these things is really weird, otherwise why are they left over? Snack manufacturers should be more motivated and stop wasting food!
Song Zhiyu was happily flipping through the comments and asked casually, "Didn't you say you would not pursue the matter? Why was Guan Juan taken away?"
"I am not pursuing her for sneaking into the B&B, but that does not mean I am not pursuing her for attempting to endanger my personal safety."
"...It's you again." Song Zhiyu refreshed the page casually, and when he was halfway through the comments, a 404 error appeared. This meant the post had been deleted, but it was okay, he had a screenshot.
Turning his head, he saw his sister staring at the snacks. He also looked at her for two seconds and asked, "How about I ask Yu An to drive out and buy you some food?"
"Forget it," Song Zhiyi picked out a small bag of scallion biscuits carefully, "Why don't you go ask the director when the filming starts, and then quickly finish the filming and find a place to eat."
"That's right," Song Zhiyu stood up and looked around, "It seems like they are all here... Hey, Nanfeng is not here, where are the others?"
Qi Nanfeng, carrying a huge thermos bucket, walked behind him at some point and casually replied, "I'm here."
"Oh my god." Song Zhiyu patted his chest and turned around and said, "Why are you walking so quietly? What are you holding in your hand? Where did you go just now?"
After three questions in a row, Qi Nanfeng was silent for a moment, pulled an empty stool from the side and put down the thermos bucket, and picked two to answer: "I made some bone soup for you, and there happened to be some vegetables left in the kitchen, so I made them together to avoid wasting them."
As he spoke, he took things out of the thermos and in a blink of an eye, he had three dishes, a soup, and even a bowl of rice. It was steaming, and it was indeed freshly made.
"Wow, brother, why didn't you tell me earlier that you have this skill? The lunch box last night was so disgusting."
Song Zhiyu rubbed his hands and happily watched Qi Nanfeng bend down to serve the soup. He carefully took a porcelain spoon and placed the bowl and soup in front of Song Zhiyi. He also said considerately, "Be careful, it's hot."
There seems to be something wrong with this. Song Zhiyu thought hard, it can't be, he is one year younger than me.
Qi Nanfeng took out a clean small bowl, poured half a bowl of soup into it and handed it to him, saying, "Drink more bone soup, it will be good for your injury."
Song Zhiyu took it and took a sip, then suddenly realized.
Qi Nanfeng must be treating his sister as his own sister! Not bad, he is indeed his good brother.
