Chapter 4 Entering the city

"What do the words disinfection and infection mean? Why have I never heard of them?"

Jiang Tuantuan thought this person had no common sense, but then he thought about the ancient times and realized that knowing this was abnormal. He patiently explained, "Infection is caused by bacteria. Invisible dirt invades the wound and causes it to fester, so we have to kill them completely."

"I understand. It's evil, right?"

Jiang Tuantuan scratched his head and said, "You could say that."

Fortunately, he didn't ask any further questions, because that's all I know.

Su Qingming found the woman in front of him very interesting. A country woman actually knew so much.

Feng Xiaoli came to look for Jiang Tuantuan. When she opened the door, she saw a strange man. Thinking he was a bad guy, she immediately protected Jiang Tuantuan behind her. Jiang Tuantuan held her mother's hand and explained, "This man was injured, so I brought him back."

Su Qingming bowed and saluted. "My name is Su Qingming, a doctor. I was injured on my way home from seeing a patient and happened to meet this girl."

Feng Xiaoli realized that she had misunderstood, so she hurried out to fetch a basin of water and left the space for the two of them.

Jiang Tuantuan used clean water to wash away the small stones and dirt on the wound.

The servant just happened to come back. Jiang Tuantuan took the liquor and said to Su Qingming, "It hurts a lot. You must bear it."

"good."

He opened the wine cap and poured it directly on the wound. Su Qingming's expression was twisted with pain. He clenched his fists tightly. Sweat broke out on his forehead due to the pain, but he didn't make a sound.

The bleeding slowly stopped.

After cleaning, wrap it with clean cotton cloth and it is completely done.

Jiang Tuantuan gave Su Qingming a thumbs-up. "It hurts so much, but you didn't even make a sound. I respect you as a man."

Su Qingming smiled and said, "Thank you for your timely rescue, my clinic is just east of the county town, it's called Tongjitang. You can come to me if you have any problems."

"Okay, but now I need to trouble you with something. Please check if I am pregnant."

Su Qingming opened her eyes wide in surprise. She was not surprised by the pregnancy, but by Jiang Tuantuan's frankness.

In ancient times, women were reluctant to see a doctor when they were sick. They usually went to the nanny or elders at home, not to mention having their pulse taken.

But for Jiang Tuantuan, who once lived in the 21st century, this was not a problem. Even her private gynecology department had male doctors.

Jiang Tuantuan lifted his sleeves and held them out in front of Su Qingming. "It's said that you ancient people all took the pulse. Um, that's not right. I mean, it's said that you doctors all like to take the pulse."

"Yes," Su Qingming carefully felt her pulse and then congratulated her, "The girl is indeed pregnant, and it's just been two months."

Jiang Tuantuan was suddenly shocked. I, a virgin who had never even been in love, was actually pregnant. She silently wiped away the tears in her heart and brought Su Qingming to see Jiang Dafeng.

Su Qingming touched Jiang Dafeng's leg and said, "It's broken. Although I can't cure it, my father can. You can come to me anytime."

Jiang Tuantuan finally felt relieved when he heard this. He took out a persimmon and started eating it. Wow, it's so sweet.

Su Qingming saw Jiang Tuantuan eating the fruit and immediately stopped her, "Miss, you must not do this. These persimmons are poisonous. A few years ago, a little boy died from eating them."

Jiang Tuantuan was about to ask when someone answered her question. "This fruit is called persimmon. It's delicious and not poisonous. How could it kill someone?"

Su Qingming explained, "Back then, the little boy was traveling with his parents to the Taoist temple in the mountains. When they passed by this orchard, the fruit looked so tempting that he picked a lot. After eating them, he developed diarrhea. When my father and I arrived, the boy was already dying, and we couldn't save him."

"How many did the little boy eat?"

Because doctors always record pulse records during their visits, Su Qingming remembered it clearly, "I probably ate eight or nine."

Jiang Tuantuan was so surprised that the persimmon in her mouth almost fell out. This is really eating to death. "Is this little boy's stomach not in good condition?"

"The girl is right, but how did you know that?"

Jiang Tuantuan said calmly, "This fruit is called persimmon. It's non-toxic, but it has a cold nature. Eating too much can cause diarrhea, especially for children with weak stomachs."

After hearing this, Su Qingming suddenly realized and immediately decided to go home and tell his father about it. He also took a few persimmons with him.

When they reached the door, Su Qingming looked at Jiang Tuantuan and asked, "May I ask your name, young lady?"

"Jiang Tuan Tuan."

"I'll remember it," Su Qingming felt that this was the first such interesting woman he had ever met since he was a child. She was decisive, calm in the face of difficulties, and knew a lot.

Jiang Tuantuan looked at his father's legs and decided that he could not delay any longer. He would go to the city tomorrow and sell the persimmons from the mountain to make some money. It would be foolish to waste them.

The next morning, Jiang Tuantuan went to the village chief's house and borrowed a cart. When the village chief heard that she wanted to take her father to the county town for medical treatment, he asked his wife to take out one or two taels of silver. In that era, one or two taels of silver was actually a lot.

Jiang Tuantuan quickly pushed it away and said, "Thank you for your kindness, Village Chief. We have some stored at home, which should be enough."

Jiang Tuantuan took great pains to finally push the cart to the door of the house, tied the rope of the cart to the ox, and together with his mother, helped his father lie down on the cart. He took some persimmons and set off.

While walking on the small path in the village, some small insects fell on Wang Xiaoluo. These insects were collected by the elves in the space and were all counted as points.

Halfway through the journey, Jiang Tuantuan saw a snake and thought about catching it. Feng Xiaoli was worried whether it was poisonous, but seeing Jiang Tuantuan's determination to earn points, she swallowed the words that were about to come out of her mouth.
