Chapter 6 Make Money

"I've made a last-minute decision: buy one pound and get half a pound free for everyone who buys today. And there's only one basket today, while stocks last."

After hearing this, everyone felt like they had gotten a great bargain. In this day and age, there are actually fools who give things away for free, so they all quickly bought a pound.

In an instant, the basket of persimmons was sold out.

Those who didn't buy anything were very disappointed and anxiously asked Xiang Jiangtuantuan, "Why are there only so few? Will there be any left tomorrow?"

"We'll have some tomorrow too, so come buy whatever you want."

"So is it still buy one pound and get half a pound free?"

Jiang Tuantuan instantly became an actor, frowned, and said in great embarrassment: "I can't make any money selling it this way. Add to that the round-trip travel expenses and the breeding costs, and I'm going to lose money!"

Everyone was a little disappointed and suggested selling it at a lower price tomorrow.

Jiang Tuantuan sighed deeply. "Alas! If that's the case, I'll just sell it at a loss. I'll set up a stall here for the next three days. Buy one pound and get half a pound free. I hope everyone can help spread the word."

Everyone was very happy after hearing this, and they all made appointments to come together to buy persimmons tomorrow. Jiang Tuantuan was also very happy because he finally opened up the market!

Su Qingming watched the whole process from the side and was amazed at Jiang Tuantuan's ability.

"Why is Miss Jiang offering buy one pound and get half a pound free? What's the benefit of selling in limited quantities?"

Jiang Tuantuan said with a hint of pride, "This is to capitalize on people's love of getting a bargain. Limited edition items are more valuable!"

"Miss Jiang is wise, I admire her."

Today I made three hundred coins from selling persimmons and two hundred and fifty coins from selling flower baskets, which is as much as I could harvest from farming for half a year. I must keep up the good work!

The smell of pork and green onion buns came over. When Jiang Tuantuan smelled it, he felt nauseous and walked to the wall and started to retch.

I didn't eat anything when I left home this morning, so there was nothing in my stomach to vomit.

Su Qingming suddenly realized that Miss Jiang was still two months pregnant!

He quickly took Jiang Tuantuan back to the clinic and asked the apprentice to make a bowl of medicine to protect the fetus and relieve morning sickness symptoms.

After Jiang Tuantuan finished drinking it, he felt much better. Doctor Su also came over and gave Jiang Tuantuan some tonic pills.

Jiang Tuantuan was very grateful and quickly took out a hundred coins, but Doctor Su politely declined.

"Please accept it. I'll be bothering you for the next three days, and my father is staying here. I'd be really embarrassed if I didn't take a penny!"

Su Qingming echoed from the side, "Dad, just accept it. This is also a token of Miss Jiang's kindness."

Doctor Su had no choice but to accept the money and planned to invite Miss Jiang to have dinner with him.

"Thank you for your kindness, but I have to go back and pick persimmons today and sell them tomorrow."

Doctor Su said with a smile: "Some men can't compare to Miss Jiang's ability."

Su Qingming always felt that his father's words were implying something about him!

Jiang Tuantuan went to the backyard to check on his father and found that he was still sleeping.

"Mom, how's Dad?"

"Much better. My breathing is much more stable now. Tuantuan, are you tired from selling persimmons this afternoon? You're pregnant now, so you can't get tired."

Jiang Tuantuan stepped forward and took his mother's arm, "Mom, I'm not tired, I just hope Dad can get better soon," and took out 50 cents from his pocket.

"Mom, take this money and spend it when you need it. I'm going home now. I'll pick some persimmons and sell them tomorrow."

Before it got dark, Jiang Tuantuan led the big yellow ox and quickly set off towards the city gate.

I happened to pass by a street full of stalls selling all kinds of birds and animals.

Jiang Tuantuan's eyes lit up when she saw this, and she said to the big yellow ox: "My dear brother, wait for me to save you and start a new life."

Jiang An snorted happily twice with his nose, and Jiang Tuantuan walked to a stall selling chickens.

"Boss, how do you sell these chickens? How many varieties do you have?"

This is what the shopkeeper asked when he first saw someone buying a chicken. Others usually ask which chicken has more meat and is stronger, but he still answered patiently.

"This is a Langshan chicken, the meat is very delicious, fifty cents each. This is a guinea fowl, which is great as a dietary supplement, forty-five cents each. This is an apricot chicken, which is smaller, for thirty-five cents each. Which one do you want?"

Jiang Tuantuan waved his hand and said, "One of each of the three kinds, one hundred coins."

The shopkeeper's expression instantly changed from cheerful to gloomy. He bargained too hard. He had cut the price by thirty cents in one go.

"Girl, you can't chop it like this. It's like I'm giving you an apricot blossom chicken for free."

Jiang Tuantuan immediately shook his head and said, "That's not right. Can you give me a discount of five cents for each chicken I buy?"

The shopkeeper nodded immediately.

Jiang Tuantuan: "Those three chickens are fifteen cents. Your Langshan chicken looks a little listless, so give it five cents off."

The shopkeeper thought about it and agreed.

Jiang Tuantuan chuckled, "I'm buying three chickens from you at once. Can you give me a discount of fifteen cents? I'll come here often in the future!"

The shopkeeper thought about it and agreed. It was rare for a customer to buy three chickens at once.

"Then you have to give me thirty-five cents off, but I think your chicken is pretty good, and I'd like to buy some in the future, so I'll give you five more cents."

When the shopkeeper heard this, he thought he had made a profit of five cents, so he happily handed over the money and the goods to Jiang Tuantuan.

The shopkeeper thought about it for a long time, but he always felt that something was wrong, but he couldn't find a reason.

Jiang Tuantuan sat contentedly on the cart with three chickens beside him. He drove the big yellow ox to an empty alley, gave two chickens to the elf in exchange for points, and kept one chicken.

Just a few miles out of the city gate, I saw a woman lying on the side of the road, with a little boy in tattered clothes crying beside her.

Jiang Tuantuan hurriedly got out of the car to ask, and the woman used her remaining breath to ask Jiang Tuantuan to save her child, and then passed away.

The little boy was crying so hard that he couldn't speak.

Jiang Tuantuan softly asked the little boy, who, fighting back tears, said, "He and his mother are from another county. His father died in an accident while hunting in the mountains a few years ago. Since then, his uncles and brothers have been bullying them. Their land and house have been taken away. They have to do the heaviest work every day and still don't have enough to eat. If they don't run away, they might not be able to survive."

"We encountered heavy rain and the road was blocked, so we had to stay where we were. Before we could even get back, our food ran out. My mother starved to death because of me."

When the little boy said this, he couldn't help crying again.

Jiang Tuantuan felt extremely distressed, and suddenly thought of the group of awful relatives he had when he first crossed over, and he became furious.

Jiang Tuantuan gently patted the little boy's back and said, "Don't cry, come with me. Although I can't guarantee that you will be rich and well-fed, you will have no problem eating your fill."

The little boy was so grateful that he knelt down and was about to kowtow.

Jiang Tuantuan hurriedly supported the little boy, as he really couldn't bear to kowtow.

"You will be my sworn brother from now on. What's your name?"

Little boy: "My mom has called me Gou Dan since I was little, saying that a cheap life is easy to support."

Jiang Tuantuan: "...My last name is Jiang, so from now on you'll be called Jiang Li. I hope the rest of your life will be smooth and easy."

"good!"
