Chapter 10
"I think your network department doesn't need to waste manpower on future matters. Can the account of that live broadcast room be transferred to us?" Researcher A stood up and said to the three people in the room.
He watched the video and naturally saw the comments and exchanges. So in his opinion, the only thing they did right was to translate some languages for Li Hao.
When Director Luo heard the researcher's words, he paused for a moment before speaking. "This matter still depends on the higher-ups' security. Li Hao's situation was discovered by someone in our department. The specifics of how this will be handled will still be handled by our department."
They were clearly invited here to assist, but now they wanted to take over. Director Luo knew clearly that if everything was true, their network department would definitely not be able to keep the project, but it was impossible to kick them out directly.
Now he has no time to care about the affairs between a few employees. They need to keep their guns pointed outwards to maintain their position in this project.
The researcher was speechless for a moment, he was still a little immature.
When Li Hao started broadcasting, several questions quickly popped up in the live broadcast room. Director Luo was there, and only Sister Lan's account was online.
They didn't expect that when they opened the live broadcast room, they would see Li Hao in a place that was obviously not a hotel.
"This is the Snake Woman's grocery store." Li Maoxue said.
--How are you? How are your injuries?
Lin Lan asked anxiously. She had been so worried since she got home yesterday that she couldn't sleep for a long time. Compared to the others present, who had different thoughts, Lin Lan was obviously more innocent. Perhaps because they were both girls, she had a sense of empathy for Li Hao during this period.
Li Hao looked at the question on the barrage and guessed that it was the person using Sister Lan's account who she often talked to. After communicating for so long, she had a rough idea of the person on the barrage.
"It's fine. Shalia saved me and gave me medicine," Li Hao said, then explained. "Shalia is the snake woman. She also let me live here and taught me how to translate."
--That's great. Now I feel relieved.
"Also, I may have to learn the language here recently, so the live broadcast time may be uncertain in the last few days." Li Hao said this while looking at the camera calmly.
"Hurry up and ask her about the main aspects of this world: race, continent, science, cultural level, and so on," Researcher B said quickly. His thirst for knowledge was almost overflowing. If Director Luo hadn't calmed him down, he would have pushed Lin Lan aside and asked himself.
Lin Lan looked at Director Luo, and after getting his nod of agreement, he typed a barrage to ask Li Hao.
Have you met Shalia yet? Can you ask her to explain the world to you?
"I'll ask these questions after I learn more. I don't know many words now." Li Hao looked at Shalia who was tidying up things. Her eyes would occasionally sweep over here.
It wasn't that she wanted revenge, but she really couldn't ask any questions now. Perhaps it was because Li Hao almost got into trouble yesterday, but today's comments were also very friendly.
Even though Li Hao rejected several requests in succession, he didn't say anything. However, Li Hao still remembered the other party's request and waited for the right time to talk about it.
Finally, Isalia had guests coming and she needed to learn the conversation, so she closed the live broadcast.
"What's going on? Why isn't she cooperating?" the researcher questioned. The video they saw was from the day before, and they hadn't seen yesterday's video. So, they didn't know what happened. Even some important details, like the potion incident, Director Luo hadn't shown them.
Lin Lan glanced at Wang Bing but didn't say anything. This was an internal matter within their department, and they couldn't let other departments watch.
"Okay. The live broadcast is over. You two can wait here for a while. I will have a meeting with the people in our department." Director Luo did not answer the researcher, but called the other three out.
"If you three can't do your job well, I will arrange for someone else to take over. Stop any quarrels." After Director Luo confirmed the truth of Li Hao's story from the red hacker, he has been looking for people to take action. He didn't want to be kicked out of the project even though he was the first to discover it.
But he didn't expect that a fire would break out in his backyard, and it almost caused a big accident.
"You..." Director Luo was about to say something when his phone rang.
When he picked up the phone and heard clearly what was said on the other end, his face changed and he sat up straighter.
"Okay." Director Luo quickly hung up the phone, and then, hesitantly, said to the three people, "You guys...try to cooperate. Otherwise...Okay, you guys wait here."
Director Luo left after he finished speaking, and the three people in the room remained silent. Compared to Lin Lan, who was immersed in Li Hao's experience, and Wang Bing, who was obsessed with making achievements, Li Maoxue had a greater sense of crisis.
"Stop arguing. The previous issues are over. We're discussing what's next. The higher-ups are already taking this seriously," Li Maoxue said. "If you don't want to be kicked out of this project, cooperate."
...
Meanwhile, while Li Hao was livestreaming, Shalia wasn't looking in her direction, but with her skills, she could clearly hear Li Hao's voice. And yet, even though Shalia considered herself knowledgeable, she didn't understand what language the girl was speaking. While curious, she couldn't ask right now.
After Li Hao finished her live broadcast, she started looking for work. Finally, at her request, Shalia assigned her a job of sorting things.
Li Hao worked diligently on the hard labor, memorizing vocabulary words. People need to be pushed to learn. Before, she wouldn't even bother to do a game walkthrough; she was incredibly lazy. Now here, she's much more diligent and eager to learn.
Shalia looked at the clock and remembered that today was the day of the auction. She still needed to go there, as she had some things on the list that she was quite interested in.
But now there is one more person in her shop, looking at Li Hao who has no ability.
Said to her.
"Come on, come with me to do some work." She was worried about Li Hao being alone at home.
Following Shalia's footsteps, Li Hao once again went to the Black Street, but this time he didn't stop. Instead, he continued walking forward. After passing through the Black Street, Shalia stopped at the entrance of an alley, where a tall orc was standing guard. Everyone who entered would be questioned.
Li Hao thought she would be questioned, but Shalia led her directly over. The tall orc even bowed to Shalia. The scene inside was like a bar, but most people were wearing masks or cloaks.
Shalia's status was obviously very high. Many people came up to toast her after seeing her. While waiting, Li Hao thought about whether to turn on the live broadcast. At that time, she thought about recent events. If they saw something again, would she be put at risk again?
Li Hao gave up the idea at this point. The people here actually spoke with a heavy accent, and she could only hear a lot of the conversations vaguely. After a while, someone stood in the middle of the venue, and everyone fell silent.
This was a very handsome and tall man. When he walked out, the original environment felt more elegant.
Li Hao initially thought the man was human, but when he turned sideways, he discovered that his ears were pointed. With a slender two-meter height and handsome features, he looked like an elf from Lord of the Rings.
The other person's voice was also very pleasant, with clear pronunciation, completely different from the orcs he had met recently. For a beginner like Li Hao, it was very friendly. She could even hear a lot of the content clearly.
It was a small auction, but Li Hao had trouble understanding the names of the items. In the end, Shalia bought quite a few things, but the most impressive thing about them was the magic items. This was the second magical ability Li Hao had seen since the armored man.
The handsome man pulled out a crystal-like object. With a gentle wave, a fireball appeared. A target had been prepared nearby, and the fireball struck it, turning the entire target into black ash. The force was so powerful that Li Hao could feel the burning in the air.
Shalia remained calm in the face of such a miraculous situation, and others were also used to it.
Compared to the unpopularity of this crystal, a piece of paper was sold at a high price.
There was nothing special about the yellowed paper.
Even Sharia raised her hand to bid? But in the end, the item was bought by a man in a black cloak. This person took the item and left immediately.
Li Hao was very curious. Could it be a treasure map or something like that?
After the auction ended, Shalia did not leave immediately, but was taken to the back of the venue.
In a box, the handsome man came in again and handed a bag of gold coins to Shalia.
"Your %¥# auctioned at a very high price. This is your reward. I hope you will choose us if you still have %%#."
Li Hao could barely make out the conversation inside. It turned out that Shalia not only had a shop, but also auctioned things to this place.
On the way, Li Hao couldn't help but ask Shalia what was going on with the crystal.
"That's a basic wizard item." Shalia explained to Li Hao in simple terms.
"Mage?" Li Hao heard an unfamiliar word.
This question was a bit difficult for Shalia, after all, it was not something that could be explained in a few words. However, she did not give up on the solution. After thinking about it, she took Li Hao to find a second-hand store.
She bought a book for ordinary people, intending to let Li Hao systematically learn the common language. After all, she couldn't be Li Hao's teacher every day.
...
Director Luo didn't return to the office until that evening, but Wang Bing and the other two received a notice asking them to prepare for a business trip. A car was even waiting at their door.
After packing their luggage, the car took the three of them to a small airport. The escort said nothing as the plane took off directly.
After flying for several hours, the three landed and were picked up by a car. When they saw Director Luo again, they had already arrived at a very remote and secluded base.
