Chapter 21

Chapter 21

Following the instructions in her earpiece, she manipulated the reagent bottle. Compared to her first flustered performance, this time her movements were more skillful. She wasn't relying solely on the livestream's guidance. In private, Li Hao would constantly practice with the livestream.

Each tool had a fixed name, and each action had a specific name. This way, the instructions didn't require too much description. After a full thirty minutes, Li Hao was so busy that sweat broke out on his forehead.

She made many mistakes, but fortunately there were top scientific researchers in the live broadcast room to help her make up for them.

She was on edge until she saw the liquid in the jar finally turn pink.

"Not bad, not bad." The teacher stood behind Li Hao, observing her technique. Although she made a few mistakes, she was already a very talented potion master. Her performance was even more impressive than her own back then.

Michelle took the potion and drank it. After feeling the effects of the potion, she nodded. "You passed. Your performance is better than last class."

"Thank you for the compliment, teacher." Li Hao said modestly.

"Follow me." Michelle said, and took Li Hao around the classroom.

When she saw someone make a mistake, she would give them some pointers, and these pointers were more likely meant for Li Hao, who was standing behind her. Such blatant favoritism was enough to make anyone jealous.

The potion in his hand was half finished, but when Li Hao and Michelle walked behind him, he was obviously affected by his emotions and his attention was distracted. His hands trembled nervously and he added a lot of powder. The originally calm potion became turbid.

Now he could no longer conceal his panic, and picked up another tube of liquid next to him to make up for it.

"It's already ruined, there's no need to waste it." Michelle's words interrupted David's operation.

"When making potions in the future, you must devote yourself to it and don't be clumsy because of external interference." After saying this, Michelle also praised Li Hao.

When Li Hao was halfway through the operation, she stood behind him and saw his focused attitude. "Li, you did a great job on this point. You are a qualified potion master."

Hearing Michelle's words, David lowered his head. His eyes were filled with unconcealed jealousy. If it weren't for Li Hao, if it weren't for her, this woman, it was all her fault. She had embarrassed him in front of Michelle and snatched away his opportunity.

Incompetent people will only blame their failures on other factors.

Li Hao followed Michelle around the classroom. Many people cast envious glances at her. Everyone could see that Li Hao had completely captured Michelle's eye.

"Okay, let's end the get out of class. By the way, Li Hao, you stay." Michelle said.

The people at the base were already celebrating. Apparently, their goal had finally been achieved.

As Glenn left, he congratulated Li Hao. His investment had proven to be a good one. Befriending Michelle's apprentice would provide him with a way forward in the pharmaceutical field.

After the other students left, Michelle looked at Li Hao and said, "You have a great talent as a potion master. Would you like to become my disciple?"

"Of course, Teacher Michelle." Li Hao nodded quickly.

"Okay, give me your card," Michelle said.

Li Hao quickly took out the card. Michelle operated on the card for a while, then waved her hand and the card fell back into Li Hao's hand.

I saw that there was an extra mark next to the original name, which read, "Apprentice Michel."

Michelle had considered taking Li Hao as her apprentice. This girl had performed very well twice. Although her talent was average, she also knew that Li Hao had a high affinity, which could make up for her lack of talent.

"Come to my place at 8 o'clock tomorrow morning." Michelle said to her and left.

"Yes, teacher." Li Hao bowed.

When Li Hao walked out of the classroom, he found Glenn still waiting for him outside.

"You're now Master Michel's apprentice." Glenn could tell from the smile on Li Hao's face. "Congratulations. You're so lucky."

"I am very interested in pharmacy and chose this course in order to become Michelle's disciple," said Li Hao.

"Potions is not a simple course. A lot of materials are needed in the learning process, but every qualified potion master has a lot of money." Glenn said and looked at Li Hao with enthusiasm.

"This requires your friend Glenn to help with the investment." Li Hao only understood this person's intention after the explanation in the live broadcast room.

It turns out that he wanted to be an angel investor.

"Of course. I believe that with your talent, you will soon become a qualified potion master." Glenn smiled with satisfaction.

The two then reached an agreement. Glenn would supply Li Hao with materials for contact purposes at half the market price. Li Hao's future potions would be sold by Glenn, but at no less than 95% of the market price.

"Then it's a deal." Glenn put the contract in his hand away. He had been preparing for a long time, waiting for Li Hao to be accepted as Michelle's apprentice.

"By the way, I saw David when I was waiting outside. He seemed to be waiting for you too, but I saw he was up to no good, so I sent him away. You have to be careful with this man." Glenn said to Li Hao worriedly.

"I know, but now that I've been accepted as Michel's apprentice, I believe he wouldn't dare act rashly." Li Hao said disapprovingly. David was a bully who feared the strong and might try to trip him up, but Li Hao had seen many such people before.

She is not a college student who just graduated. As a full-time anchor with a certain degree of fame, she has also encountered many troubles.

The next morning, Li Hao got up early, packed up, and hurried to Michelle's place.

Michelle's residence was on the 20th floor of the Mage Tower. It was completely different from the dormitories and classrooms below them; it felt like an extra space. The double doors opened.

What came into view was a garden full of plants. Such a scene appeared in the Mage Tower, which opened Li Hao's eyes.

The laboratory is at the end of the garden. Opening this second door is a room without windows.

Li Hao saw Teacher Michelle sorting things at a glance.

"Good morning, teacher." Li Hao's words interrupted Michelle's actions.

She turned to Li Hao and waved for her to come over.

Beside Michel, there were two other students wearing the same gray robes as him, but there was a student sitting there wearing a black robe.

"Let me introduce you. This is Li Hao, my new apprentice." Michelle said these words to her students.

"This is your senior named Ernst. He will teach you some basic knowledge of alchemy. If you have any questions, you can ask him when I'm not around." Michelle pointed at Ernst, the only apprentice in a black robe.

This black-robed apprentice looked to be in his twenties, but for someone of his age to wear a black robe, he must have exceptional talent. His demeanor revealed a very arrogant and aloof fellow. After Li Hao entered, he remained preoccupied with his own actions.

"Hello, Senior Ernst." Li Hao bowed and saluted. The other party finally nodded indifferently and turned around to do his own thing.

"Victoria." Michelle pointed at the only woman among the three and said.

This senior sister of Victoria has a hot body and long red hair like a rose. Even the wizard robe cannot hide her good figure. Her facial features are delicate and beautiful, making Li Hao feel ashamed.

The other party was obviously very enthusiastic towards Li Hao, waving and greeting her, looking at Li Hao with smiling eyes. "Hello, junior high school girl~"

"Hello, senior sister." Li Hao naturally smiled and answered in a cheerful voice.

"This is Jarvis, and I just received it last month." Michelle finally pointed to a short boy and said.

This person's attitude was quite good. He nodded to Li Hao and said, "Hello, Li Hao."

After a brief greeting, Michelle looked among his three apprentices, finally stopping at Victoria, and spoke to her.

"Victoria, you should be responsible for Li Hao's basic learning."

"Okay, mentor. I'll take good care of this new junior." Victoria was very happy with this arrangement. She walked directly to Li Hao and took her hand.

"You should study the basics of Potions for the next few days and come here every day. You don't have to attend the Potions classes anymore." Michelle added.

"Yes, teacher." Li Hao nodded.

After Michelle finished arranging Li Hao, she continued to organize the materials. As she said, the most basic ability of a potion master is concentration.

Victoria pulled Li Hao away. "Come on, junior. I'll show you around the medicinal garden first."

"Okay, senior sister." Li Hao said respectfully.

"Junior sister, I've heard of you before. The instructor said there's a new student who was able to refine a potion in his first class. He's quite impressive." Victoria said as she pulled Li Hao to a damp garden. "Here are some swamp herbs. Look at this..."

Li Hao was incredibly lucky this time. Victoria treated her very well, something that everyone at the base found incredible. This was the first time in this world that she had encountered someone who was so genuinely kind to her. Before, they'd either been malicious or motivated by profit. In short, there weren't many good people. This was why Li Hao couldn't relax in this alien world.

Various psychologists have conducted various studies on Victoria's micro-expressions and have completely confirmed that she treated Li Hao with a friendly attitude.
