Chapter 415 I mean, my world is for her
As time goes by, the trees on both sides of the library remain evergreen.
There is always a figure sitting by the window, day after day.
Chu Guanmeng looked at the ink stick that had been used up again and couldn't help but mutter, "When will that monk come again? The ink stick I gave him a year ago is almost worn out."
Lin Du had no time to be distracted. She did not care about getting the ink dirty and kept writing until the ink dried up and only the dragging traces were left. Then she put down the pen and stood up suddenly.
The table was piled with books on both sides, but most of them were not in the language of Zhongzhou. Lin Du used only three months to thoroughly master Yun Moluo's language. After that, he repeatedly read most of the Buddhist scriptures and materials that she asked Wei Zhi to find for her. Relying on the words on the jade slips, he pieced them together and calculated that there were nearly thousands of pieces of waste paper.
This is not the first time that Lin Du has drawn a formation based solely on text.
In her two lifetimes, she had calculated countless formations, including many bizarre and ingenious formations that Yan Ye had set up for her, but none of them had been as complicated as the formation with only 149 words on the jade slip that took her so long to deduce over and over again.
That is not the Taoist formation.
That is from Buddhism.
The name of that array, according to the text, can be translated directly as "Extinction".
Eliminate the three delusions and transcend life and death.
Later in the modern world, people called those two words Nirvana, and there is also a term called Enlightenment.
"I'm done."
The moment she stood up, the accumulated, scattered drafts were picked up by the wind and flew into the air.
Lin Du reached out and grabbed it, "Let's go find Wei Zhi."
Maotuan, who was still bored, suddenly stood up and widened his eyes, "Are you finally going to look for him? There are only three bottles of wine left at home."
"That's because you drank secretly. I drink a glass before going to bed every day, and you drink a bowl. He almost emptied the Tantric wine cellar." Lin Du used his spiritual power to put things back in place and began to carefully organize the stone array.
Weigh, cut, shape, sort and place separately.
Chu Guanmeng commented, "This is the most accurate I've ever seen you do."
"I didn't want to, but he gave me too much." Lin Du responded sincerely, "This can't be wrong. It's just one life. I don't care, but he is a big customer."
Chu Guanmeng scanned Lin Du's storage ring with his spiritual sense and said with deep emotion, "Don't tell me, don't tell me, the things that the monk has moved here over the past year account for almost half of it, not counting the ones that have been used and the strange spiritual plants that are placed in the sect."
After Lin Du confirmed that everything was ready, he went to take the bodyguard out with him.
The city where the Yunmolo Esoteric Sect is located is not very large compared to Zhongzhou Dingjiu City, but once you step into it, you will find it crowded with people.
Hou Cang followed Lin Du with his arms folded, mumbling, "You've only been well for a few days, why did you have to come to Yunmo Luo?"
"Friendly reminder, I've been well for three months." Lin Du said.
"Excuse me for being frank, but because you went to the library to study every day, you didn't recover well, and your qi was stagnant. It took another month before you were allowed to use your spiritual consciousness. As soon as you were able to use your spiritual consciousness, you kept calculating." Hou Cang spoke very quickly, "Is there anyone who recuperates like this?"
"Yes, it's me." Lin Du looked at the people coming and going, his eyes falling on the backs of the pilgrims.
It was a family of all ages, with an elderly woman and two little girls. They wore gray aprons around their waists. The woman bowed every three steps, prostrating herself devoutly, her head covered in dust. The two little girls walked behind them, pulling a wooden cart with all their possessions piled in bundles on it.
It seems that on their way to the heart of Tantric Buddhism, the small wooden cart was their home.
The little girl turned around and saw two people whose clothes did not fit in with the surroundings. She stared at them with her dark eyes. When Lin Du smiled, she also grinned and smiled back. Her face was dark and shiny, and her teeth were snow-white.
In front of this family, there were a few scattered ascetics. They were ragged, unkempt, barefoot, kneeling and worshipping.
The ascetics of Yunmala often choose Tantric Buddhism as their final destination, and make pilgrimages to all eight major sects.
"Tell me, what are they asking for?" Lin Du suddenly asked.
Hou Cang was stunned for a moment. "Austerity is their practice, refining the body and the mind?"
Hou Cang waited for Lin Du to look away before asking, "Why do you have to come here?"
"Because Wei Zhi hasn't shown up for ten days, the seal has been opened." Lin Du looked towards the place where the Tantric Buddhism was located on the distant high ground. There were rows of white pagodas, surrounded by densely packed small houses, and the high ground was staggered, which was particularly spectacular.
At this moment a bell rang.
Later it became clear that the seal of the evil spirit had been opened, and the Buddhist cultivator who had appeared in the sect almost every few days in the past year had not come.
The implication was self-evident—Wei Zhi was detained.
When the two men arrived at the Tantric Buddhism, they presented the token of the Supreme Buddhism, and the Buddhist monk guarding the gate hurriedly reported to his superiors.
At this time, the ascetic monk arrived at the top of the mountain, in front of the Buddhist temple.
Someone asked him, "What is the purpose of this hard practice?"
The man performed a Buddhist salute and slowly opened his mouth in a hoarse voice, "Amitabha, may you be safe and healthy."
Lin Du happened to be welcomed here and looked at the ascetic monk for a moment.
The man's eyes were dark and bright, and after seeing Lin Du's attire, he bowed again.
Lin Du raised his hand and saluted in return.
Hou Cang suddenly couldn't tell what he was feeling. He fell back a step and watched Lin Du's figure and the ascetic monk's figure intersecting. One was still going up, and the other had already reached the finish line.
He suddenly turned around and took another look at the densely packed crowd crawling at the foot of the mountain.
The two sentences that Lin Du had said suddenly rang in his ears.
"I do."
“I have no regrets.”
His heart was shaken, and he suddenly remembered the look Lin Tuan gave him when they first met.
He once thought it was a unique compassion, but now when he thinks about it again, it is just like the look in the eyes of the ascetic monk and Lin Du when they lowered their eyes to look at all living beings.
Calm, profound, and vast like the sea.
Hou Cang suddenly lowered his head, and the heavy thing pressing on his heart turned into water vapor in the blink of an eye.
It turned out that he had made a mistake from the very beginning.
Cangsheng...
Cangli was originally an orphan picked up by Lintuan and was named Cangli.
The lush, lush vegetation is full of vitality.
And he himself, Hou Cang, Hou Tu gave birth to Cang, and Hou Tu carried all life.
It turns out... it's not Cangli's disciple, but Cangsheng carried by Houtu.
Hou Cang used to think that Lin Tuan only gave this explanation when he questioned him, but it was not the case.
It turned out that Lintuan had told him a long time ago.
She never showed partiality, she always loved all.
But he always hated this before and tried desperately to get her attention, but now he inexplicably felt that this was what a saint should do.
"Senior Brother?" Lin Du turned around and called out to wake Hou Cang up.
He raised his head and met Lin Du's concerned and suspicious eyes, "Oh, I'm looking at the terrain."
What if there is a jailbreak? Look at the escape map on Highland.
Lin Du waved his hand, then took a big step to her side, "Yeah?"
"Don't worry, Senior Brother. They have respectfully invited us in now, and will also respectfully present us with a great gift later, asking us to go and release the danger."
Lin Du said this using telepathy.
Hou Cang's eyes widened, "Huh???"
As expected, after the Tantric Buddhist monks invited them in, Lin Du got straight to the point, "I have a way to convince Wei Zhi to feed the demon with his own body."
The wizard who came to serve the guests trembled slightly as he served the tea. "Ah?"
How did they know this if they were not from the Supreme Sect? Do the people from the Supreme Sect have such a wide range of business?
"Yes." Lin Du's eyes were calm and firm.
"Then, benefactor, what can you do?" the mage asked carefully.
"I am a professional in persuading people. Although I have not participated in any seminars, I am a good speaker."
The master didn't believe it. He thought the people from the Supreme Sect were here to cause trouble.
Lin Du said, "It doesn't matter whether you believe it or not, but do you have any other way? Can you force him to go? He has become a golden body and was once ranked third on the Chongxiao list. As long as he fights hard and both sides are destroyed, there will be no other Buddha's son in this world."
She sat calmly in her seat, her words falling into the dark wood hall, "He is alone, you don't know what he is worried about, what his weaknesses are, you can't take advantage of his interests, and you can't shake his morality."
“But now, I am here.”
"There is only one me. You can choose not to believe in me, but you have no choice but to believe in me."
After hearing these words, not only the monks and Buddhist practitioners present, but even Hou Cang was stunned.
How could he not see that Lin Du was still holding Wei Zhi's soft spot and was Wei Zhi's last resort?
The mage was silent for a long time and placed the tea on the table next to Lin Du.
"You're right. I grew up with him, but I don't know what he wants."
"He is a natural born Buddha. He is born with knowledge. He can memorize the scriptures after reading them once. He can memorize thousands of scriptures after reading them once. At the age of seven, he can interpret the Buddha's meaning word by word. He is the only one who can debate the eight schools of thought."
"No one would have thought that he would become the evil monk you are talking about, who could swallow dragons to cultivate a golden body, burn down his own meditation room, leave the sect and travel around, and no one could catch him."
"He seems to understand everything, but he just doesn't understand his destiny, the profound meaning of Buddhist practice, and the eternal salvation of all living beings. You said he explained it clearly, so why doesn't he understand it?"
The master finished speaking and gave a bitter smile, "If you are a Buddhist, you should have understood long ago that you should save all living beings from suffering, but he doesn't understand. If you don't understand, are you still a Buddhist?"
Lin Du lowered his eyes. "Have you ever heard a saying? Being generous to others may be unkind to them, but it does not matter to yourself?" [Note 1]
The monk shook his head, put his hands together, and chanted a Buddhist verse, "If I had Buddha's bones, I would use my body to feed the evil spirits."
Lin Du smiled, "So you don't understand."
She stood up, her eyes fixed on the other party, "Wei Zhi, originally meant Lou Wei Zhi. The Lou royal family wants to end the national crisis, and you Buddhists also want to end the world crisis, but both of you are pinning your hopes on one person."
"Do you really think that one person can save everyone?"
Lin Du smiled, "Do you think that what you think is natural is really reasonable? All living beings have obsessions. If you don't have any, you would have become a Buddha now. He is just a child of Buddha, not a Buddha. Why shouldn't he have obsessions?"
“Being trapped by obsessions and unable to achieve complete enlightenment, you cannot be reborn in the Pure Land. If you do not have great wisdom, how can you be a child of Buddha?” The master clasped his hands together, lowered his eyes and replied.
Lin Du shook his head. "So it's still that fundamental problem. He is the one that all of you are looking forward to. He is the one who jumps down to the source of the evil energy and completely seals the evil energy. You can only hope that he can save all living beings. I can make him let go of his obsession."
"Not everyone in this world should accept their destiny."
"His obsession is not about his mission at all, but whether he has the right to make his own choices."
"It's not that he should or he wants to, but that he is willing to do it."
The master finally had nothing to say, "Master Lin Du is really good at speaking, but I wonder if he came here for the sake of all the people in the world?"
Lin Du finally laughed, "Master, it is true that I am doing this for the common people, but there is no such thing as a free lobbyist in the world."
The master could not help but say, "Donor, this is a pure land of Buddhism."
"Buddhist Pure Land, I don't talk about money, I talk about fate." Lin Du took it naturally.
"The bond between Wei Zhi and I is so deep, so to sever it, I should throw something of similar magnitude, right?"
"After all, I take money for my work so as not to get involved with you guys." Lin Du's expression was clear and he looked very convincing.
The mage then understood, indeed.
Being responsible for helping others to reincarnate has always been entangled in cause and effect, so the fees are high and the fees are considered the end of a transaction.
It was only then that Hou Cang realized that Lin Du came to ask for money.
Lin Du finally saw the end of the danger.
Before entering the meditation room, Lin Du sensed the powerful restrictions.
The Tantric Buddhism is still afraid of him.
No one is afraid of a madman who has no weaknesses.
Mad people have no scruples and are the most willing to take risks.
Wei Zhi was sitting upright on a cushion. Next to him was a man in a red cassock, chanting something to him. Behind him, a Buddhist monk in a yellow monk's robe was striking a wooden fish and chanting sutras in a low voice.
The man sitting in the middle, wearing a jade-colored cassock, was thin and tall, with his eyes lowered, standing still, like a frosted flower on a cliff, out of tune with this warm world.
"Wei Zhi." Lin Du's voice broke through the recitation, very abrupt.
Wei Zhi raised his eyes and looked at Lin Du. The sunlight outside shone into the house, illuminating those amber glass eyes.
The Buddhist disciple slowly raised his hands, which had not been raised for the past seven days, and put them together in front of his chest, nodding slightly, "Master Lin Du."
At that moment, the Tantric abbot suddenly saw that the dust followed the beam of light and fell on the jade-colored robe of the Buddhist disciple, and the tranquility was gone.
In the path of the beam of light, there stood a man in green clothes, with white hair and grey eyes, as if a mountain covered with snow. He was clearly a Taoist monk, but he was full of Zen.
"I promise you." Wei Zhi said, "I promise you, I will seal the source of the evil energy with my body."
Before the abbot could answer, Wei Zhi continued, "But I have a request."
"Over the years, the Tantric Buddhism has prospered because of me, with countless donations and followers."
"I have preached the sutras for you, chanted the sutras for you, and saved you time and time again, one person after another."
"Now I have to save lives."
He spoke gently, like water flowing down from the snow-capped mountains, flowing quietly over the rocks with almost no sound, but stirring up a river in the hearts of several others.
"But I still have one wish."
"That obsession was only attached to one person. Now I can only use things to cut off my obsession."
"Please give her all my belongings, including all the seven treasures in my meditation room, the pond of carp and lotus flowers I have raised since I was a child, and the forest behind the house that I have cared for since I was a child."
"I mean, the world I once owned, I gave it to her."
The abbot was stunned for a moment, then said, "Okay."
The Buddhist practitioner behind the abbot was also stunned. The quality of the things in this meditation room was truly extraordinary. There were even gifts from the other seven Buddhist sects, and the quantity was not small. The lotus was a sacred object in the sect and was often placed beside it. The pond of enlightenment was also a top-notch spiritual pond. The forest behind it was full of extremely rare exotic flowers and plants, as well as various trees that were thousands of years old. They were extremely spiritual and rich in top-quality spiritual plants.
Is this price... too high?
But the abbot had already agreed, so there was no reason for him to go back on his word.
When Hou Cang saw this, he understood everything.
Lin Du and Wei Zhipeng are acting opposite each other here, trying to get the best of both worlds. One says that cause and effect can be determined by money, and the other says that thoughts can be determined by objects. It's really amazing and well-founded.
He sighed and said that people still need to be able to speak.
The little junior sister must have known that her sect had been distributing massive amounts of talismans, elixirs, and defensive instruments for free in order to save people on the border, and that the materials in her sect's treasury had been visibly depleted, so she came to the Buddhist sect to make some money.
As expected, you are my junior sister!
Wei Zhi stood up, and as the abbot followed closely behind him, he suddenly spoke, and for the first time faced his nominal master and adoptive father alone and asked a question.
"Abbot, when I was young, I asked you why others said that I was born to save people, so I had to complete their unfinished lessons, carry them across the river, and protect them from disasters. You said that this was my fate and I should not be angry. You asked me to copy the scriptures a hundred times. I wanted to learn kung fu, but you refused and punished me with many slaps on the hand."
"Do you still think so now?"
The abbot raised his eyes and put his hands together, saying, "I should extinguish all sentient beings. After extinguishing all sentient beings, there will not be a single sentient being who has actually been extinguished."[Note 2]
Wei Zhi watched him finish reading, then turned his head and looked at Lin Du, "In that case, I have no more questions."

Note 1: Ming Li Zhi's "Book Burning and Cold Lamp Talk": What's more, you are generous with other people's money and spend other people's money. It is unkind to others, but it doesn't matter to yourself. The general meaning is to use human feelings to force others to compromise and make contributions, so that you appear to be great, but in fact you have not contributed anything, and you also make others look very reluctant.
2: It comes from the Diamond Sutra. The "mie du" here means "to save" more, which can be directly understood as saving sentient beings. There is another sentence after it: If there is a self-image, a person-image, a sentient being-image, or a life-span-image, then it is not a bodhisattva. According to my shallow understanding without enlightenment, the meaning used here is that the host wants to wake up Wei Zhi and tell him that he should not have a self-image. If he is too obsessed with saving others, he is not a bodhisattva or a Buddha.
