Chapter 22 Couple Photos What do couples do?

Chapter 22 Couple Photos What do couples do?

The exhibition wasn't large; it only took about an hour to browse through.

The soft pink and orange hues of the park were specially created for this "Peach Blossom Lovers" themed exhibition.

It's perfect for couples.

Sang Li walked beside Lu Jin and suddenly saw a counter for an official event not far away.

Above the pink archway is written: Peach Blossom Valentine's Day Themed Photo Op, Free for Couples.

The backdrop and the photo frames used for the group photos both feature peach blossom patterns.

Perhaps because it was afternoon, there weren't many people taking photos. The photographer was patiently taking pictures of a couple.

Sang Li stopped in her tracks.

free?

She could no longer walk.

Who can resist the allure of those two words?

The artist's officially licensed digital frame would cost at least 88, and that's an outdated version.

She heard the official saleswoman in the distance say, "We also have peach blossom series keychains and necklaces here. This series of products will not be listed in online stores because they are limited regional exhibits."

Limited edition?

Not going to put it on the shelves?

That would mean it's no longer available!

Sang Li rubbed her fingers together, looking somewhat conflicted.

This is an officially authorized event, with free photos. You get both digital and physical photos, so why not take them?

But... she and Lu Jin weren't a couple.

Lu Jin didn't pay attention to the counter in front of him. He was still looking around to see if there were any good ice creams or cakes nearby, so he could take Sang Li out for another meal.

However, Sang Li tugged at his sleeve, her attitude hesitant: "Um...would you like to take a picture?"

"Huh?" Lu Jin was puzzled.

Sang Li half-coaxed, squinting her eyes like a cunning little fox: "Just tell me, do you want to or not?"

"It will be all right."

"So you agreed?" Sang Li asked with delight.

Lu Jin had no idea what Sang Li was going to do.

But he still said it.

"I agree." Lu Jin's tone was calm, as if he hadn't thought too much about it at all. "Go if you like."

Upon hearing the answer, Sang Li seemed to have succeeded in her scheme. She suddenly wrapped her arms around Lu Jin's and looked up at his expression: "Is this okay too?"

Lu Jin's body stiffened for a moment.

What are you doing?!

Caught off guard, he froze instantly when Sang Li's arm wrapped around his.

What happened to Sang Li?

Was it interfered with by some anomaly?

Sang Li was still secretly pleased, but her actions were natural and generous, as if it were nothing special.

But for me, it felt like a spark landing on dry tinder, my muscles tensed, and my heart was beating so fast it was almost out of control.

Lu Jin's Adam's apple bobbed, his eyes dark and unfathomable.

Her arms were soft and warm, like a gentle stream, and the faint fragrance of her body mixed with the sweetness of ice cream wafted into my nose.

His arm trembled slightly, and his brain felt hot.

A blank page.

Sang Li nuzzled Lu Jin's arm, coaxing, "We'll be taking pictures later, couples get them for free, I want to. That's not giving our captain a free ride, is it?"

"A couple?" Lu Jin almost thought he had misheard.

She leaned her head closer and said with a smile, "It has to look a bit like it, otherwise people might think we're just here for the fun of it. I'd like a limited edition photo, is that okay?"

Lu Jin felt speechless and could only keep repeating, "Yes, that's fine."

Sang Li was still not convinced: "Then you're not allowed to let anything slip! You have to cooperate!"

Lu Jin lowered his head, his gaze deepening.

He saw the exhibition booth in the distance and finally realized what had happened. His hazy, dark eyes gradually revealed a dangerous glint.

His voice was low and husky, like a magnetic sound squeezed out from his throat: "Hmm, I won't let anything slip."

Sang Li smiled smugly, completely unaware of what she had just done, and kept nagging, "Then I'll just talk in a bit...you don't..."

Her voice was like a feather brushing against his eardrums, and his heart seemed to skip a beat.

Even with the best efforts to remain calm, it was more difficult than carrying out the mission.

Lu Jin didn't hear a word he said. His whole body was tense, as if he were locked up. His attention was entirely focused on the arm that Sang Li was holding. Her body was pressed against the side of his arm, soft, like a beautiful cloud that only appears in a dream.

It seemed that Sang Li's unintentional touch was pulling at her nerves, making every sense in her body more sensitive. Her nasal cavity, skin, and breath began to feel hot, even with a hint of suppressed pain.

Lu Jin's gaze lingered on her profile, a slight smile playing on his lips.

Are you a couple?

What do couples usually do?

I want to kiss her.

He suddenly lowered his voice, slowly approaching her ear, his slightly cool breath brushing against her neck: "So... if the photographer lets us kiss in front of the camera, would you also think that's okay?"

Sang Li was taken aback, looked up at him, and her expression instantly changed from smugness to shock, before quickly turning red.

Kiss?

Does this count as sacrificing oneself for art?

Her lips moved slightly: "No...they wouldn't ask for that, would they?"

Her ear tips turned red, like a little liar who had been exposed, her youthful shyness written all over her face.

Lu Jin laughed out loud and said teasingly, "Don't you know? How did you know?"

Sang Li realized she'd been tricked. Meeting his gaze, her heart pounded like a rabbit's, and she said in a hoarse voice, "Fine, I admit it. I'm the one who benefits anyway! Shall we take the picture or not?"

"You're getting a good deal?" Lu Jin didn't understand.

It's obvious that I'm the one who's getting the better deal.

Sang Li: "You're good-looking, rich, and a 100% pure human. Unlike us hybrid abnormalities, you're noble and elegant. By human standards, you'd probably get full marks..."

Lu Jin felt that it didn't sound like a compliment.

Sang Li: "Don't think that just because you're female, you'll be taken advantage of."

Lu Jin sighed helplessly, "Why do you keep using that word? Isn't 'woman' better?"

Sang Li: "Because I'm not human."

Lu Jin: "..."
