Chapter 49 Completely Out of Control: Breathing Becomes Chaotic and Breaking

Chapter 49 Completely Out of Control: Breathing Becomes Chaotic and Breaking

Lu Jin was originally leaning against the bathroom window, but because he was smoking, the window was slightly ajar.

The evening breeze squeezed in through the cracks and spread throughout the bathroom.

Sang Li rushed towards her against the wind.

Lu Jin instinctively reached out to catch Sang Li the moment she lunged at him.

She crashed into his arms with such force that she almost knocked him back half a step.

Heh.

Sang Li heard Lu Jin let out a very soft, muffled gasp from deep in his throat.

Lu Jin wrapped his arms around her waist, tightening his grip.

That force was like a wolf licking its wounds uncontrollably in the dark, originally wanting to tear itself apart because of the pain, but suddenly a small prey accidentally wandered into its territory.

Lu Jin's body was burning hot.

The muscles bulged, vigorous and hard.

Cool water dripped down his feverish body, mingling with the water droplets on Sang Li's body.

What happened to Sang Li?

This was Lu Jin's only thought.

She doesn't look right.

Her body was trembling, and her fingers were gripping him tightly, as if she were afraid of suddenly disappearing.

Lu Jin's Adam's apple bobbed slightly, and his fingers unconsciously tightened around her back.

Unfortunately, the desire he had forcibly suppressed with the cold water was reignited the moment she pounced on him. Reason, like a flame submerged in water, began to burn again, and then the water boiled.

Clothes and pajamas don't really block out anything.

If Lu Jin didn't know Sang Li's personality too well, he would suspect that Sang Li was deliberately seducing him.

“Sang Li,” his voice was low and hoarse, “get out.”

In the end, he could only utter these two words.

If the conversation goes on for a while, he has a hard time controlling himself from saying anything unpleasant, dirty, or blunt.

Upon hearing this, Sang Li seemed to disregard her own life and desperately tried to burrow into his arms.

Lu Jin's knuckles twitched; his instinct was to push her away, yet he couldn't bring himself to do it. He closed his eyes, his whole being like a trapped wild beast, torn between control and instinct. Finally, his breathing grew heavier, and he demanded sharply, "What are you doing? Do you even know what you're doing?!"

Sang Li shuddered.

I was both cold and scared.

Immediately, Lu Jin turned on the tap, and the cold water turned into hot water.

Warm water was poured down.

She pressed herself against his chest, without moving.

They arched their backs.

Steam rose in the cramped bathroom, blurring everything into a hazy, indistinct mist.

Sang Li looked up, her eyes red as if they were soaked in blood.

"I'm not leaving."

"Sang Li!"

This was the first time Lu Jin had seen Sang Li like this; she was stubborn, awkward, and like a tiny sapling about to be broken.

She looked into his eyes, her voice a plea finally breaking through the earth after being suppressed for too long: "Are you going to abandon me?"

Lu Jin frowned deeply, his throat feeling as if it were blocked by a stone.

Sang Li was trembling all over, hugging him tightly, whispering repeatedly, "I don't want to leave. I've finally managed to have a relatively warm and normal life. If you throw me back, if..."

Sang Li choked up.

"Anyway, I don't want to go back."

Although she didn't spend much time with Lu Jin.

But one thing was certain of her: she didn't want to face the cold, impersonal walls of the administration office anymore. And she didn't want to be abandoned. She seemed to have lost count of how many times she had been abandoned. But the thought of parting again sent chills down her spine. She vaguely felt that every time she didn't want to be separated, fate would force her to leave her comfort zone, to leave behind familiar people. She seemed to feel that she shouldn't be alone, but after more than twenty years, in the end, she was still all alone.

She is not someone who likes to live alone.

But, it can only be done this way each time.

“You will all abandon me, you will all abandon me…”

Her fingertips gripped his arm tightly, her wet, cold nails almost digging into her skin.

They scratched out red marks.

"You said you'd stay with me, that you wouldn't leave," she said, her voice choked with emotion. "But in the end, you all left, and now you're leaving too, aren't you..."

She didn't even know who she was talking about.

Because everyone leaves eventually.

“Sang Li…”

Lu Jin's chest cavity was ripped open by a sharp, blunt force.

Why would she think that?

He didn't want to abandon her.

He didn't want to leave her.

"Sang Li?"

“Sang Li, I don’t want it,” Lu Jin said, his pupils shrinking slightly.

Sang Li's behavior is very strange.

She is on the verge of collapse.

My breathing became disordered and shallow.

Just like last time when she and Amber had a fight, she couldn't control herself at all and didn't know what she was saying or doing.

Sang Li would become unable to extricate herself from her emotions.

Although the chances are very small.

"Sang Li." He called her name softly, so as not to frighten her.

She seemed not to hear him, pressing even closer, as if she were about to break in his arms. "Don't go, Lu Jin, please don't go. I really have nothing left..."

Lu Jin gritted his teeth, his arms finally tightening, pulling her tightly into his embrace. He felt uneasy, even anxious: "I didn't say I was leaving, Sang Li. I won't abandon you. I'll always be your guardian, right? We signed an agreement, it's legally binding. I swear on my life, I will never leave you alone, I absolutely..."

Sang Li suddenly looked up, tears dripping from her eyelashes, and said, word by word, "Then prove it to me."

Lu Jin was stunned.

In the misty air, she stood soaking wet in his arms, as if she were standing in a torrential downpour.

Her chest was still rising and falling slightly due to the emotional fluctuations, like a rose that had been rained on, trembling yet breathtakingly vibrant.

“You said you wouldn’t leave,” she said, her eyes glistening with tears, biting her lip. “Then prove to me that you’re not just saying it casually. You’re not like them, the kind of person who can just turn around and leave.”

Lu Jin felt extremely hot, as if he were experiencing a bizarre dream.

He shouldn't have looked at her.

I couldn't control myself.

Sang Li was also unable to control herself.

That will cause trouble.

absolute.

Yes.

How to prove it?

how?

When Lu Jin remained silent, she choked back a laugh, tears mingling with her mist as they slid down her pale face.

Sang Li wiped away her tears and covered her cheeks: "I'm sorry, I'm just a little... upset."

She wanted to leave.

After Lu Jin said "get out," he actually wanted to back out and leave.

She didn't know why, but she suddenly demanded an explanation.

"sorry."

Sang Li left Lu Jin's embrace, her head drooping, and began to mutter to herself, her body stiffening.

"I'm so sorry, so sorry, I shouldn't have made you lose control. After all, I'm an anomaly, and we shouldn't be so close. I shouldn't be living in your house. We're really too close; sometimes I don't even realize it. No, I'm just confused. I just feel like we're family. I really didn't mean to bother you. I'll leave now..."

She pursed her lips and turned around.

The shoulder blades on my back turned a little red from being scalded by hot water.

"I'm so sorry to bother you..."

Sang Li said these words with a sense of relief, even though she was very tired.

Because there's nothing that can be undone.

The instant she took her first step.

Sudden.

A tremendous force swept in from behind without warning, like a scalding torrent, violently pulling her back.

"ah!"

Sang Li gasped in surprise. Before she could react, she was thrown into a burning embrace, the scalding heat feeling as if it would incinerate her.

She couldn't breathe, and before she could even begin to struggle, her neck was firmly pressed down.

Lu Jin's kiss landed on her the next moment.

Not related.

It's a bite.

It's like plunder, punishment, and possession.

Sang Li's eyes widened, and for a moment he almost felt his soul being stolen away, his mind going completely blank.

Her lips were numb from being kissed, and stained with blood.

Their bodies entangled like drunken madness, her mind fogged up, she almost suffocated, and even felt that Lu Jin had gone mad, like a storm sweeping through the night, or a wildfire engulfing the parched land, devouring everything.

She tried to push him away, but she didn't even have the strength to lift her hand. Her body felt as if all the muscles and bones had been drained, going limp inch by inch, as soft as melting snow.

"You still want to leave?" Lu Jin seemed to be laughing, the words squeezed out from between his lips. "Leave what?"

Lu Jin finally let her go, and it seemed that his venting had come to an end.

Sang Li gasped for breath in the oxygen from the crack, staring at him dazedly.

"I……"

"breathe."

"What?"

"breathe."

The next moment, Lu Jin kissed him again.

Unreasonable.

Her fingertips trembled as she tried to grasp something, but she missed. All she knew was that he was biting and pressing down on her heart. She felt as if she had been shattered, then reassembled, and then torn apart until her soul trembled into a stream of water. She could only sink completely like a small boat swept away by a storm.

As if afraid of its prey struggling, Sang Li's wrist was firmly held by Lu Jin's hand, and she was pressed down above his head.

"Lu, Lu Jin."

Her throat tightened, and her voice trembled.

He didn't give her a chance to finish speaking, as if he wanted to tear apart the words she uttered about wanting to leave from her indistinct voice.

Hot water slid down.

Sang Li felt as if he was about to die before Lu Jin released him.

His dark, unfathomable eyes, like the vast night sky, gazed at her.

Lu Jin lowered his eyes, a slight smile playing on his lips.

Sang Li felt as if half of her soul had been taken away by him; her mind was in a whirl, and the whole world seemed to be collapsing amidst the hot water and her heartbeat.

She stared at him blankly, her eyelashes damp and clumped together.

Lu Jin wouldn't let her go, his voice low and deliberate, "What else do you want, hmm?"

"What else do you want me to prove?" His hand landed on her waist, pinching it. "What else do I need to do to make you believe I won't abandon you? Do you still want to leave, or do you want me to let you go? You don't even know what you're thinking. Nothing has happened, yet you're crying like this. I only let you go because things got out of control. Getting out of control isn't good for either of us, is it? Haven't you realized that? Or do you want to do it all over again?"

When he said "abandon you," his voice suddenly turned somber.

But Sang Li seemed not to understand, or rather, her brain had short-circuited and was in complete chaos.

But she heard what Lu Jin had just said.

go out.

Go out, go out, go out, go out, go out...

Where to go...?

Why do you still want to leave?

Why can't we just stay?

Must one pay a price to obtain a place to live?

Or rather, what can I give in exchange for love that will not lead to abandonment?

Sang Li was willing to admit that Lu Jin was a very, very good person. He was good at taking care of himself, and he was responsible and dependable.

fine.

It's really good.

A way to keep someone...

No, she didn't want to tie herself down.

She despicably hoped to use the unique magnetic field of her abnormal body to bind him.

Trapped him.

Eat him.

right.

Imprison him!

"Sang Li?"

"What’s wrong with you?"

Lu Jin noticed that Sang Li was acting increasingly strangely.

You've already explained it very clearly, are you just scared?

His years of experience dealing with abnormal entities told him that the magnetic field was now even more chaotic.

Like a storm.

Realizing something, Lu Jin seemed to have regained control of the out-of-control situation within his body.

It was just a passing frenzy, really.

Sang Li trembled as she looked up, her misty eyes reflecting only Lu Jin's image.

Her ravaged lips parted slightly, her throat choked with sobs, making it almost impossible to hear her voice.

"Shall we do it?"

Lu Jin was suddenly stunned.

do what?

Lu Jin cursed under his breath: "Sang Li."

"Give it a try."
