Chapter 57 The Silly Dog Who Was Happy and Didn’t Want to Leave His Homeland [First Order Request]

Chapter 57 The Silly Dog Who Was Happy and Didn’t Want to Leave His Homeland [First Order Request]

Lin Heng returned to the bedroom and found his wife looking at herself in the mirror, biting her lips from time to time, with a smile on the corner of her mouth, as if she had eaten honey.

She didn't even notice him when he opened the door curtain and came in.

Lin Heng walked over quietly and hugged his wife's slender waist.

"Ah, what are you doing? You scared me!"

Xiulan shuddered all over and turned her head to glare at Lin Heng fiercely.

Lin Heng hugged his wife's slender waist, put his chin on her shoulder, looked at the mirror and said with a smile: "She is really beautiful, I am not lying."

Xiulan blinked her eyes, feeling a little confused by the sticking.

"I like it very much, thank you, husband." She whispered.

"Then give me a kiss. My lips are dry too!" Lin Heng smiled and said in a low voice.

Xiulan bit her lip and glanced towards the main room, feeling a little embarrassed. It would be awkward if someone suddenly came in.

But she didn't want to reject Lin Heng. After hesitating for two seconds, she turned around and pecked Lin Heng on the mouth.

"Hmm~"

Just as I was about to separate, my head was held down.

A long kiss, lasting several minutes.

Xiulan couldn't help but immerse herself in it, but was afraid that someone would come in. It was so exciting that her heart was pounding.

"That's terrible! What if someone comes in?"

Xiulan glared at Lin Heng fiercely.

"Who made your mouth so pretty?" Lin Heng chuckled and said, "I have nothing to do this afternoon. I plan to go hunting in the mountains. Would you like to come with me?"

Xiulan looked at him and asked hesitantly, "Is your daughter carrying it too?"

"Of course not, just leave it to Caiyun to take care of. She has been weaned anyway." Lin Heng waved his hand. He just gave his sister a lipstick. Taking care of a child is a piece of cake.

"Okay, you go hunting and I'll pick mushrooms."

Xiulan nodded and was happy to go up the mountain with Lin Heng.

Besides, it rained last night, so there should be a lot of mushrooms on the mountain today.

The two of them packed up, took their tools and walked out of the house.

"Dad, I'm going up the mountain to see if I can catch anything. I'm going to walk a little further today. Xiulan is coming with me. She's picking mushrooms."

Lin Heng looked at his father and said something.

Father Lin was cutting down yellow willow trees (Cotinus coggygria) to make some benches. When he heard what Lin Heng said, he glanced at him and nodded, saying, "That's good. We can have someone to look after each other. Be careful."

"Don't worry, I brought a flashlight. If I don't come back at night, you don't have to worry. I must have gone to a far place."

Lin Heng nodded. He and his wife both carried small backpacks, flashlights, and three or four cloth bags.

"Second brother, where is Xiaoxia?" Caiyun walked over holding Xiaoxia.

"Mom... Mom..."

Xiaoxia saw Xiulan reaching out to pull her.

"Of course you brought it." Lin Heng smiled.

"Okay, I knew it." Caiyun pouted and reluctantly agreed.

Lin Heng patted Caiyun on the shoulder and said with a smile: "Don't worry, I won't let you bring it in vain. I will get you a good thing in a few days."

When Caiyun heard about the good stuff, she became interested: "What is it?"

"You'll know in a few days."

Lin Heng didn't answer her. He untied Xiongba's dog leash and walked out of the room with him and his wife.

“Woof woof!!”

Xiongba, who hadn't been out for a long time, first barked twice, ran back and forth happily, chased chickens, rubbed trees, and urinated.

Then he came back to Lin Heng, stayed there for less than two seconds, and ran out again, just to have fun.

Jiang Heng ignored it and ran over to rub against Xiulan.

"Which way do we go?"

Xiulan looked at Lin Heng and asked.

"Let's take the Tongshugou road. We'll have to cross two more mountains this time," said Lin Heng.

Tongshugou is the ditch where he had a conflict with the old hunter Tian Baishun in the village. It is located behind his house and down the beam.

The direction is due south-west, and the further you go, the deeper you get into the Qinling Mountains. There are very few people there, and there are no houses to be seen for several mountains in a row.

People in this area mainly live along the banks of the Shiban River.

There were almost no mushrooms to be seen before the beams were put up, and the forest was full of footprints, which showed that everyone in the village had already run around.

It rained heavily last night and there are no water drops on the leaves anymore. However, the woods are still damp and the black and yellow rotten leaves are softer when stepped on because of the water.

Xiulan walked in front. Lin Heng had nothing to do, so he grabbed a small wooden stick and threw it into her backpack like a child.

Starting from the foot of the mountain, when Xiulan reached the top, there was already a pile of small wooden sticks in her backpack. She turned her head and looked at Lin Heng unhappily: "Stop playing, you are like a child."

Even though she was annoyed, Xiulan didn't get angry. Lin Heng used to play with his mother like this and would get slapped in the face after a while.

So Lin Heng played even more enthusiastically, and Xiulan walked away when she saw that it was useless.

“Woof woof!”

Suddenly, Xiongba, who had been strolling in the woods for a long time, called out, pointed at the land in front of him with his paw, and looked at Lin Heng and Xiulan.

"What's wrong with Xiongba?" Xiulan turned her head away in confusion. Her lipstick-coated lips shone with a charming luster under the scattered sunlight in the woods.

She didn't know that Xiongba could find mushrooms, so she seemed confused.

"You'll know if you go and take a look." Lin Heng said with a smile.

Xiulan walked to where Xiongba was, about five or six meters away, puzzled, and then heard a cry of surprise: "It turned out to be two green-headed mushrooms hidden under the leaves."

After putting the mushrooms in the basket, Xiulan was about to turn back when Xiongba ran to the front and barked at her again.

"A piece of chanterelles hidden under the leaves of an oak tree. Xiongba is really good at finding mushrooms!" Xiulan exclaimed again.

She turned around and looked at Lin Heng: "I finally found out why you can always pick mushrooms. It turns out it's because of Xiongba."

Xiulan's expression was as if she had discovered a new continent. She followed Xiongba all the way forward, and in a short while, she had picked up one or two kilograms of mushrooms.

"Pick the good ones. We are just getting up the mountain now and we still have a long way to go."

Lin Heng reminded him that he had only picked up a few top-notch chanterelles so far, and threw away the slightly rotten ones.

As for why they don’t wait until they come back to pick it up, it’s because they may not take this road again when they come back, and if they don’t pick it up now, it might be picked up by someone else when they come back.

"I know."

Xiulan's voice came from the front.

After an hour on the mountain, Lin Heng and his companion arrived at the beam on the Tongshu Valley side. Lin Heng looked at the place where he picked morels last time, but did not find anything this time.

Without the dog, his true colors were exposed. In the past hour or so, he only collected nearly one pound of mushrooms, most of which were chanterelles.

There were only a few mushrooms like tricholoma and morel.

On Xiulan's side, even a cloth bag was full. The huge gap was too real.

"Xiongba, come to my side!"

Lin Heng called out, it was so difficult to pick mushrooms without Xiongba.

"Xiongba, follow me!" Xiulan also spoke up. She had completely fallen in love with the dog Xiongba.

“Woof woof!!”

Facing two people calling at the same time, Xiongba raised his head and looked around.

After hesitating for a second, he ran to Xiulan happily, licked her hand with his tongue, rubbed his head against her hand, and expressed his intimacy: "Awooo~"

Lin Heng: “…”

"You are such a shameless lickspittle. I am your master!" Lin Heng couldn't help but curse.

However, Xiongba acted as if he didn't hear anything and was having so much fun playing with Xiulan that he didn't want to leave.
