Final remarks

Today is March 8th, and I am on the train. It has been a year and a half since October 2023, when this book was started.

Thank you all for your support over the past year and a half. Without you, this book would not have survived to this day.

At the beginning, this book was only a one-round release, and then it was put on the shelves reluctantly. At that time, the first order was only 300, but the subscription ratio was very good, which gave Wuti great motivation.

With everyone's support, it eventually soared to three thousand, becoming the author's first high-quality novel.

Here, I would like to once again express my sincere and heartfelt thanks to all my readers and friends, and wish you good health and everlasting happiness.

When I wrote this book, I was also in a creative slump. Although I had never written a period piece before, I plunged into it headfirst. While writing, I drew on my own experience of living in the countryside since childhood and asked my grandmother and parents about what happened in that era.

What I learned from them was that it was a much poorer and more difficult time, much more difficult than what was described in the book, and it was even harder to find a way out.

Similarly, the lower-class people of that era were also very pure. If they fell in love, they would be together for life. It was not like the modern society which is so impetuous and confused, where everything is bound by interests.

The fact that our great motherland is what it is today is also the result of the efforts of this generation. It is their hard work that has created our era and life today.

Please forgive me for my poor ability of expression and description, for not making the book more realistic, and for not writing about the prices well enough.

But I did look up information, but it was so long ago that the information I found is different. There are some things that I can only estimate myself, and my parents and grandparents can no longer remember them clearly.

When I wrote about Xiulan, I was completely immersed in the story, hoping to have such a gentle and considerate wife. When I was writing, I was always immersed in it, smiling knowingly and in a good mood.

It’s a pity that in real life, Wuti is a socially anxious introvert and doesn’t have a girlfriend.

The name Xiaoxia for my daughter comes from the Ordinary World. When I was in junior high school, I read this kind of scar literature unique to that era, which made my young heart restless for a long time.

To this day I can still remember how I felt when I saw Tian Xiaoxia being washed away by the water. I was depressed for more than a week and even lost my appetite.

Coincidentally, the river where Tian Xiaoxia drowned is in my hometown.

So I wanted to use this name for the protagonist's daughter to make her happy.

In general, as this is my first book of this type, there are many things that are not handled well. I have recorded your criticisms one by one and will try not to make the same mistakes again in the future.

For my next book, I plan to write another period novel, but I haven’t decided yet whether to go to the sea or continue hunting. However, I do have some ideas about the specific character settings.

If you have any opinions, you can raise them here and they will be taken into consideration.

As for the specific release time, it will be around next month. This month, the author plans to study first, go fishing to take a break, and then write a few free extras for everyone.

Finally, thank you again for your support and I wish you all good health and happiness, which I think is the most important thing.

10:00 p.m. on March 8, 2025.
