Chapter 52 How did we end up separated like this? Everything is ready, except for the east...

Su Jinmu stared at the boy in front of her, a strange feeling welling up inside her, and slowly kissed the corner of his mouth.

The movements were very gentle.

...Li Xin.

Not long afterward.

The Li family's power has declined.

The Li family was already on its last legs, and now the Xu family, and even the Jiang family, have also taken the opposite side, making their defeat even more obvious.

But the Li family's counterattack was also fierce.

On her way back from class, Su Han was surrounded by several people. Although she had brought a bodyguard with her, he didn't follow her too closely in the school, and there was only one bodyguard.

In the chaos, I accidentally twisted my ankle.

It wasn't a big deal, but Su Jinmu was thinking of going to take a look.

Su Han and Xu Sibai didn't want him to go, but they couldn't resist his desire to go. In the end, they repeatedly told him to have the driver bring bodyguards to pick him up, and also asked Li Xin to accompany him out.

Only then did he agree.

"Jinmu, it's really nothing serious. It's not safe for you to come over at a time like this." Su Han sat on the sofa and patted his head disapprovingly.

Su Jinmu sat next to her, and Li Xin was on the other side, looking down.

Su Han had an ice pack on her ankle; the swelling had almost subsided, leaving only a little redness and swelling.

Su Jinmu pursed her lips. "You still need to get more rest and stay home as much as possible these days."

Su Han: "..."

Su Han smiled and glanced at him, "I should be the one saying that to you. You little kid, stop being so rebellious."

"puff--"

Xu Sibai smiled and said, "Jin Mu is meticulous and thoughtful, unlike ordinary children."

Su Jinmu: "..."

He's no little kid.

Su Jinmu felt a little relieved after confirming that she was alright, and her expression softened.

Su Han looked at him with concern and worry, "Jinmu, the situation has been chaotic lately, has anything happened to you?"

"No."

Su Jinmu shook her head, her voice soft, "I haven't gone out much at all."

Xu Sibai frowned slightly, "The Su family is still not safe. I'm always—" not entirely at ease with the Su couple.

Xu Sibai glanced at Su Jinmu, swallowed his words, and thought for a moment, "How about—"

Another voice chimed in, "Why don't you stay here for a while, Jinmu? You've already arrived, so there's no need to worry about any problems on the way."

Xu Yu said calmly.

Just as Xu Sibai and Su Han were about to nod, Xu Yu turned to Li Xin indifferently and said, "Jin Mu, since your friend came with you, why don't you stay together for a few days?"

Her expression was casual and indifferent, as if she were just mentioning it casually, "It's just right, he's staying in that guest room, and you're staying in Mumu's room. Don't worry, it's fine to stay for a few days occasionally."

Su Jinmu: "..."

Su Han: "...???"

Su Han looked at her daughter with some doubt.

Yu Yu had never mentioned letting anyone stay in Mu Mu's room before.

Xu Sibai, standing to the side, raised an eyebrow, looked at Xu Yu, then at Su Jinmu, his expression ambiguous, "Yes, there's just enough room."

Beside him, Li Xin slowly lifted his eyelids slightly, caught a glimpse of Xu Yu's eyes out of the corner of his eye, and gave a barely perceptible twitch at the corner of his mouth.

There seemed to be a hint of a smile.

"I'm fine with anything, I'll listen to the young master."

Su Jinmu: "..."

Su Jinmu turned to the side and stared straight at him.

Li Xin smiled slightly, appearing docile and harmless, except for his eyes, which were as black as ink.

Several people around looked over at the same time, some with expectations and others with their own thoughts, making Su Jinmu's scalp tingle and her hair almost fall out.

Su Jinmu: "..."

No, you can't lose your hair.

The hair loss just happened to suit Xu Yu's wishes; she took it to get her DNA tested again.

Su Jinmu pursed her lips, pressing her rosy lips slightly flat, her expression gentle. "No, no need for that. We can just go back to our place. The Su family has also added bodyguards, so there's nothing to worry about."

"Oh, since you're already here," Su Han moved closer. "Staying for a few days won't be a problem."

Su Jinmu: "..."

Su Jinmu shook her head again, "Never mind."

Li Xin's gaze darkened slightly, his expression deep and unsettling as he looked at him.

"Let's go back—"

"Knock knock knock".

There was a sudden knock on the door.

The clear voice reached them, and everyone in the house paused abruptly and looked up.

Few people come to the Xu family's house. In the past, the person knocking on the door like this was most likely Li Cunru.

Su Han immediately contacted the bodyguards outside, and Li Cunru turned on the video doorbell to take a look.

"Knock knock".

On the video doorbell display screen, outside the door is a man with a gentle smile, appearing refined and kind, carrying something in his hand, and wearing a proper and polite smile on his face.

"Knock knock knock".

—Is it Su's father?

Xu Sibai frowned in confusion. Meanwhile, Su Han also received feedback from the bodyguard, who confirmed that it was indeed her father who had come alone and without any suspicious persons.

What is he doing here?

Xu Sibai opened the door with a puzzled look on his face.

"General Manager Xu."

Mr. Su looked towards the door with a slight smile, gesturing to the things in his hands. His expression was not obsequious, but rather very polite and courteous.

Coupled with his kind appearance, it's easy for people to trust him.

"I heard that President Su twisted his ankle." Su's father said with a hint of worry, "Xiao Mu often comes to play, and as parents, we have to come and see him at this time."

His voice was quite soft, "Is Professor Su alright?"

Xu Sibai: "..."

Xu Sibai glanced at him a few times with an ambiguous expression. "It's nothing, thank you for your concern. Please come in, Jinmu is eating snacks inside."

When Su Jinmu realized that it was her father outside, she paused for two seconds, stood up, and took a few steps forward.

I just happened to be standing by the window.

Outside, there was lush greenery, and in a corner, a figure flashed by, accompanied by a glaring reflection.

As he swayed, Su Jinmu felt a stab in her eye and squinted slightly.

That is...

The person in the corner was holding a camera, which was pointed directly at the entrance of the Xu family's house.

He looked at Su's father standing at the door and the door that Xu Sibai had opened after stepping back.

He wanted to take a picture.

It was someone Su's father found!

Su Jinmu instantly guessed what he was going to do. Her fingertips curled up slightly, she pursed her lips, then relaxed them, wanting to speak but then falling silent again.

He lowered his eyes slightly.

Mr. Su smiled slightly and stepped in.

The Li family and the Xu family are at odds. Although Su's father doesn't think the Li family will fall, there are all sorts of rumors circulating in the circle.

He needs to act quickly.

Su Jinmu has a good relationship with the Xu family, while the Xu family is hostile to the Li family. Although the Su family cannot openly support them, it is still necessary to express their intentions verbally.

Then bring some people to take a few more photos.

If P and the Xu family win, they will spread the photos to bind the Su family and the Xu family together.

If the Li family wins, they should destroy the photos and pretend the trip never happened.

He deliberately avoided people on his way here.

Father Su's eyes held a gentle smile, but beneath it lay shrewd calculation. He looked at Su Jinmu with a hint of loving reproach.

"You silly child, you came to visit Professor Su but didn't remember to bring anything. You seem so inconsiderate, and now I have to come and deliver it to you."

Su Jinmu: "..."

Su Jinmu took a few shallow breaths, "...Father."

Father Su looked over, his usual gentle expression conveying genuine concern.

...That feeling of being swept up and bound surged up again.

A calculating glint was mixed in his sincere gaze.

He pursed his lips and said calmly, "I only found out at the last minute, and I came over in a hurry. It was my oversight."

The two men had calm expressions, but the Xu family members felt something was off, as if they were uncomfortable with something.

Li Xin looked at Su Jinmu, then at Su's father, and finally at the Xu family members, giving them a meaningful look around.

.

Now that Su's father has arrived, Su Jinmu is even less likely to stay overnight at the Xu family's house. On the one hand, he is worried about losing hair while sleeping, and on the other hand, it is also because of Su's father.

On the way back, Su Jinmu sat upright, with his father on his left and his sister on his right. He didn't get close to anyone, including Li Xin.

My thoughts are a jumble, so I close my eyes slightly.

Her long eyelashes drooped, obscuring her clear and beautiful eyes. Amidst her chaotic thoughts, Su Jinmu's consciousness gradually sank.

I'm trapped in a dream.

When he was very young, he couldn't practice the piano well, and his palms were whipped with a wet rattan cane until they were red and swollen, with the center almost turning purple, making him look horrifying.

It hurts a lot.

He sat in a chair, with his mother beside him. His mother looked worried and distressed, carefully holding his hand, applying medicine to it, and asking him questions softly.

"Does it hurt, Xiao Mu?"

Su Jinmu was in a lot of pain, but she endured it and shook her head, "It doesn't hurt."

"How could it not hurt? It's all bruised." Su's mother frowned and looked at Su's father with displeasure. "What kind of bad idea is this? If you can't practice the piano in class, you can practice slowly. Xiao Mu is still young."

Father Su's face was also full of love. "Jade must be carved to become a useful object. I also hope that Xiao Mu will be of great use in the future and can share the burden of the Su family."

Su's father looked at Su Jinmu with worry, "It's my fault. I didn't explain things clearly to the teacher. I can't be so harsh in the future."

Two pairs of sincere, concerned eyes looked over, filled with worry and hope.

It seemed to be full of care and anticipation.

They want him to do better, because if he does better, he'll get more attention and more love.

Su Jinmu didn't know how he understood it, but he just realized it.

Only by doing well, and by having value, can one earn love.

...But actually.

Love is fake too.

Su Jinmu's vision blurred for a moment, and it seemed that the car had stopped. Her limbs were stiff, and her consciousness was blurred. She felt as if she was tied up and unable to move.

"Splash—"

The car doors were wide open.

Su's parents grabbed him and pulled him down the rope with heavy force.

"Hmm..."

My knee was scraped and bleeding. In front of me were two tall, wide, pure black doors.

Slowly open.

A tall figure walked out, backlit, so her face was not visible.

It carried a strong sense of oppression.

"Ugh—!"

It was late autumn, and the frost was biting cold. Su Jinmu was still wearing thin, loose-fitting home clothes.

From the moment Su's father learned that Li Xin was the one who brought down the Li family, he was hastily bound and brought here. The familiar, broad hand on his shoulder pressed down hard, but it was cold.

My knee hit a cold, hard stone.

Su Jinmu heard the creaking sound of her bones.

"President Li."

Mr. Su's voice was filled with sincere guilt, as if he were completely innocent, "We had no idea that Su Jinmu had ever bullied you like this. He did it all on his own. Our Su family had no idea whatsoever."

"He's not our Su family's biological son, he's... he's..."

His eyes darted around, "I don't know which bastard switched our child and stole him. We are victims too."

"Mr. Li, when you were staying at the Su family's house, we never shortchanged you on your salary. This Su Jinmu wants to get rid of you, so we brought him here today."

“He wasn’t originally a member of the Su family. Even if he were, we’ll kick him out now and let him stay with you, Mr. Li. Please calm down.”

...The wind is cold.

It felt like being stabbed in the flesh with a knife, or as if it were covered in ice, chilling to the bone, making the blood in my knees seem frozen.

Su Jinmu raised her eyes and looked at her father.

He did indeed try to get rid of Li Xin.

He did indeed deal with Li Xin.

He made the wrong choice and is no longer of value to the Su family.

Or rather, it's more valuable to give him up.

His current predicament is what he deserves.

He didn't regret wanting to get rid of Li Xin. He was addicted to sex, he was hypocritical, and Li Xin wasn't a good person either.

But, Father…

Su Jinmu looked at her father, the wind blowing against him, chilling him to the bone.

Does he only have value and no feelings?

Su Jinmu looked into his eyes, trying to see a different side in his eagerness to distance himself.

...but no.

Not a single one.

Without value, there is no love.

Su Jinmu lowered her eyes.

But he didn't want to be simply used.

He was tired.

"Young Master Su."

His chin was lifted by cold, hard, slender fingers, which gently brushed against the soft corner of his lips, almost sending chills down one's spine.

A low, gentle voice tinged with laughter said, "How pitiful. I didn't even have to catch them; they just fell into my hands."

A cold, strong hand pulled him over.

"Splash—"

The car doors were wide open.

Su Jinmu opened his eyes groggily. Behind him, his father was pressing on his shoulder and pushing him out, as if calling his name.

The tall, slender man dressed in all black glanced at Su's father with some displeasure, then gently pulled Su Jinmu's wrist away.

"...Ugh!"

I was pushed from behind, and cold, hard fingers gripped my wrist. The wind blew by, chilling me to the bone.

Su Jinmu opened her eyes, and in a moment of confusion, the nerves in the back of her neck suddenly throbbed, and she subconsciously tensed up and withdrew her hand.

……No.

I don't want this ending.

Li Xin paused slightly, still gripping him tightly, his fingers tightening, his brows furrowed as he stared into his eyes, his pupils dark and unfathomable.

"Young Master?"

Su Jinmu took a few seconds to come to her senses. Cold sweat climbed up her back, like being paralyzed by a ghost. Her nerve endings twitched slightly. She took a breath and looked away.

"It's nothing, I'm just still half asleep."

Su Jinmu frowned, pressed her temples, and quickly stepped down to stand.

Li Xin stood beside him, gripping his wrist tightly, staring into his eyes, but their gazes didn't meet for a long time, a hint of coldness creeping into her eyes.

They gripped it even tighter.

...Is the young master...being wary of him?

Su Jinmu didn't know why she would have such a dream.

The earlier memories were real, but the later ones became somewhat bizarre.

After all, as cannon fodder, his ending was only briefly mentioned and not described in detail.

Su Jinmu: "..."

Su Jinmu got out of the car and took a few deep breaths.

The original text didn't include any scenes involving the Xu family, but now it does, along with the change in his relationship with Li Xin.

Once Li Xin has completely dealt with the Li family and revealed his identity, Su's father probably won't send him off bound hand and foot to apologize anymore.

It's more likely they drugged him and sent him to Li Xin's bed.

Su Jinmu twitched the corners of her mouth, a half-smile playing on her lips.

"Xiao Mu."

Su's father called him back, his voice full of concern, "The situation is chaotic right now. You should still maintain good relations with the Xu family, but try to avoid them a little."

"I'm afraid the Li family will be a threat to you."

Su Jinmu smiled.

They're probably worried about not being able to support both teams.

Su Jinmu smiled.

It doesn't matter, he's going to die eventually anyway. Over the years, the Su family raised him, and he also brought a lot of business connections to the Su family.

In addition, get a card that covers all the fees from the past ten years.

It'll be placed in the bedroom. After he dies, when the Su family goes to clean up, they'll find it easily.

He has finally paid off his debts.

Su Jinmu calmed down, smiled, and nodded.

"Yes, Father."

.

Su Jinmu and Li Xin returned to the third floor. Su Jinmu was practically pulled in. As soon as they entered, an arm wrapped around his waist, holding him tightly against the door.

"Young Master."

Li Xin stared intently at him, his dark eyes sharp and filled with a restless curiosity.

"Young Master." He spoke in a low voice, his gaze fixed on him as if trying to penetrate his mind, unblinking, his possessiveness overwhelming.

"Did you dream about me on the bus?"

He asked softly.

Su Jinmu: "..."

Su Jinmu was squeezed against the door, blocked by the boy's body, unable to move in the gap. She smiled casually and said, "What are you talking about? Isn't it enough that we're together day and night? You have to interfere in my dreams too?"

Li Xin curled his lips down and stared at him, scrutinizing him with a cryptic look.

Why be wary of him?

Why?

Li Xin's eyebrows and eyes were dark and thick, like a man-eating demon, blocking the way, with a slight smile on his face, seemingly obedient.

"What did the young master dream about?"

Su Jinmu raised her eyes to look at him, marveling at Li Xin's keen insight, clicking her tongue, and chuckling a few times, "No dream, you're not in my dream."

“But…” He raised his arm, casually brushing it against the boy’s waist and abdomen, grabbed his collar, and pulled it down, “It can be inside my [body/body].

Su Jinmu looked at his eyes and brows, gazed deeply, smiled, and gently pressed her lips to his.

Li Xin had his collar pulled down, and the young master was wrapped up even more tightly in a corner, but he stared into his eyes, at the strange smile in them.

An inexplicable sense of unease and restlessness welled up inside me.

I recall Su Jinmu's indifference towards the Xu family and his estrangement from the Su family.

And his insatiable enthusiasm.

He didn't feel happy; instead, he felt a surge of anger and anxiety.

The possessiveness was raging wildly, almost terrifying.

"Young Master."

Li Xin leaned closer and licked the corner of his mouth.

Su Jinmu was very interested in Li Xin, while Li Xin was restless. He was also dealing with the affairs of the Li family, and his methods became more and more ruthless, leaving no room for maneuver.

In the morning, Su Jinmu sat up, exhausted. Li Xin had already left.

Su Jinmu pressed her aching lips. The Li family's kidnapping attempt had failed, and they were being pressured. The Xu family was worried that they would resort to desperate measures, so Li Cunru turned around and went to Li Xin to seek reconciliation.

But Li Xin left them hanging all night.

The Li family, having exhausted all other options, launched a frantic counterattack; today they are truly driven to desperation.

In the original text, the Li family sent people to follow Li Xin's vehicle. They did not know who was in the car, nor did they know whether the person in the car was the mastermind behind the attack or an outsider.

They ignored everything and relentlessly blocked and rammed into the area.

Li Xin was driving and managed to shake off the person, but he was injured. The car stalled in a remote and deserted place, and he lost consciousness.

In the original story, Jiang Jing happened to pass by and rescued Li Xin, but at that moment Jiang Jing was safely staying at the Jiang family home and was not allowed to go out, so he obviously couldn't save her.

Jiang Jing can't help; the gaps in Li Xin's storyline need to be filled.

Su Jinmu tidied herself up, packed her things, and went out.

The original text mentions a location. Su Jinmu didn't drive the Su family's car; she rented one from outside and drove there.

We were already far from the suburbs, almost in the middle of nowhere.

A completely black car was parked on the side of the road with its hazard lights on. The body was deformed and dented, and the interior was completely silent.

Su Jinmu hesitated for a moment before moving closer.

The original text states that Li Xin was unconscious at the moment, which is why he was able to come over, and he even wore a mask just to be on the safe side.

But if Li Xin didn't faint... the mask would be completely useless.

He might need to consider knocking Li Xin unconscious first.

Otherwise, he couldn't explain how he could find him so accurately once again.

Su Jinmu approached from the passenger side, walked around to the front of the car, stood at an angle, and glanced inside.

The boy leaned back in his seat, his pale face and eyes closed, motionless.

"!!"

He fell into a coma.

Su Jinmu's heart skipped a beat. She quickly went to the driver's side, opened the door, and pulled the person out.

Li Xin was not seriously injured; he was only knocked unconscious by the impact. However, the vehicle was deformed, trapping his limbs, which could affect blood supply if left unattended for too long.

Su Jinmu frowned, her fair fingers tensed, and she pulled him out of the stuck spot.

"...Hmm."

A low, muffled groan.

Su Jinmu was startled and suddenly stopped. Her eyelashes above the mask trembled, and she quickly and quietly changed her movements without looking up.

Li Xin opened his eyes vaguely and saw a small, delicate ear tip, as well as fair fingers pressing against his body.

He raised his hand and covered it, his consciousness fading.

...Yes, young master?

Su Jinmu: "…………"

Su Jinmu glanced at him; he seemed a little out of it, and pulled her hand back.

"...Hmm."

Li Xin frowned, his heart pounded, and in a moment of chaotic instinct, he gripped the handle tightly, not allowing him to dodge.

His eyes, which he couldn't see clearly, were wide open and stared intently at him.

It's hard to focus your gaze.

Su Jinmu: "..."

Tsk.

Su Jinmu felt a headache for a few seconds, then raised her free hand and covered his eyes.

They are not fully conscious and may not be able to see or recognize who they are.

He tried to pull his hand back, but to his surprise, Li Xin gripped it even tighter, with such force that he wanted to crush his wrist bones and knead them together, his voice hoarse.

"I'm not leaving."

Su Jinmu: "..."

Su Jinmu forced a smile and softened her voice, "I won't leave, I won't leave."

He lowered his hand from the other person's eyes, and beneath his palm, the boy's eyes remained open, staring at him blurry.

Su Jinmu took something out of her pocket and stuffed it into Li Xin's mouth.

A slightly sweet taste melted in his mouth, soft and fluffy. His throat muscles contracted, and Su Jinmu covered his mouth, her beautiful eyebrows slightly raised.

"Don't spit it out, it's chocolate."

Li Xin is in alright condition. In the original plot, he regained consciousness halfway to the hospital. Actually, it wouldn't be necessary for Su Jinmu to come here.

However, reality has differed from the original text.

He was a little worried.

Su Jinmu covered his mouth, feeling the delicate skin of her palm being brushed against, and the piece of chocolate slid down smoothly.

He also brought glucose water, but judging from Li Xin's condition, it was difficult to feed him liquids.

Su Jinmu swept her long eyelashes around, looked around to make sure there were no dangerous factors and that Li Xin would wake up soon. Her gaze relaxed a little, becoming clear and bright.

Release his mouth and pull your hand, which has been held, back.

Li Xin gripped it tightly.

Su Jinmu used her other hand to lift his fingertips, but Li Xin gripped them even tighter, and the skin underneath had already turned red and purple.

Su Jinmu clicked her tongue and broke off the restraints one by one, loosening them.

He exerted force on his hand, and Li Xin's consciousness blurred, his gaze unable to shift, only able to feel his wrist slowly slipping away from his palm.

My palms felt empty, the gentle skin had left, leaving only a chilly breeze.

"!!!"

no!

Li Xin was almost agitated, his whole body twitching slightly, his eyelids fluttering, trying to wake up.

Su Jinmu quickly covered his eyes, and the boy became obedient again after the skin-to-skin contact.

Seizing the opportunity, Su Jinmu quickly pulled away and sped off, slamming on the gas pedal.

He sensed that Li Xin was about to wake up.

That is indeed the case.

Su Jinmu let go and left. Li Xin's palm was filled with nothing but a faint breeze. His fingertips tightened, he forced his eyes open, his breathing became heavy, and his brows furrowed tightly.

There was no one in front of me, and a dry, bitter taste lingered in my mouth.

Li Xin frowned, still not quite conscious. He clenched his fist, feeling as if he had just grabbed something.

"??!"

...a section of the wrist.

A face wearing a mask.

A few images flashed through his mind, and Li Xin suddenly sat up.

I checked the dashcam, but it was damaged and completely black.

Li Xin kept a straight face and slowly moved around.

My limbs are a little stiff, but still quite flexible. There's nothing seriously wrong, and I can still drive.

Li Xin stepped on the gas and sped back.

...Has the young master been here?

How did he know he was here?

...Foresight?

Is it really possible to predict the future?

What an amazing young master.

Li Xin twitched the corner of his mouth. Even though his head was still throbbing, the corner of his mouth actually turned up in a scarlet smile, eerily beautiful and sinister.

secret.

He seemed to be getting closer to the young master's secret.

With a strange sense of excitement, Li Xin left the car after entering the city, took a taxi to the Su family's house, and strode quickly.

Young master.

Foresee his coming and going, be wary of him.

In the foreseen future, what did he do to harm the young master? Is that why he's on guard?

No, it won't.

No, it won't.

He wouldn't do anything as long as the young master was by his side.

He will be very well-behaved and obedient.

Li Xin went in feeling dizzy and disoriented. He spotted someone weeding in the garden, rushed forward, stumbled unsteadily, and bumped into them, a smile playing on his lips.

"Li Xin?"

Su Jinmu raised an eyebrow at him, "What did you go about? Why do you look like you're stumbling around in the mud?"

Li Xin had a slight ringing in his ears. He paused for a moment, then smiled. "I saw him. The young master wearing a mask. I saw him."

Su Jinmu: "..."

Su Jinmu: "???"

Su Jinmu looked somewhat puzzled and touched his forehead, "What are you talking about? What mask?"

His expression was one of utter bewilderment, as if he knew nothing at all. Li Xin's head throbbed for a moment, then he grabbed his wrist and lifted it up to take a look.

Her skin was fair and delicate, without any red or purple fingerprints.

There were no signs of it being squeezed hard.

Li Xin paused for a few seconds, his brows furrowed tightly as he stared intently.

No?

Was he hallucinating?

The young master's secret has vanished?

.

Li Xin felt dizzy, as if he were in a dream, but the feeling of his fingers being pried open and his wrist being pulled away was etched into his heart.

The cold air was fierce and pervasive.

Su Jinmu and Li Xin returned one after the other, and within ten minutes, they quickly went upstairs to apply some concealer.

Li Xingang was bumped and his vision was blurry, but he managed to fool himself.

After being held tightly and sleeping for almost a day and a night, Su Jinmu found time to go to the Xu family's house.

Only Xu Yu was at the Xu family home at the moment.

Xu Yu opened the door and glanced at him strangely. "Why didn't you tell me you were coming today? I could have had the bodyguard pick you up."

"Your maid friend didn't come along either?"

Su Jinmu: "..."

Su Jinmu had a headache.

Li Xin is clingy; if he doesn't come over here, the concealer on his wrist will easily get rubbed off.

Su Jinmu waved her hand, "It's okay, I came by myself."

Is it safe on the road?

Su Jinmu nodded, "It's safe. The Li family doesn't have much spare capacity, so there's nothing to worry about."

The Li family is desperate and will do anything, as they have even fewer capable people left.

The situation is getting worse.

The entire Jingzhou region was almost turned upside down, witnessing the continuous decline of a once-top wealthy family.

“Jingzhou is in a frenzy, with all sorts of forces getting involved,” Xu Yu said calmly. “Those people didn’t think the Li family would fall before, they were all just watching the show, but now that they’ve noticed the signs, they’re all like dogs smelling blood.”

Everyone wanted to take a bite out of the Li family.

And that's exactly what Li Xin wanted.

He didn't want Li Cunru and his mistress to die too easily.

It's only interesting when someone has committed so many evil deeds for so long and suffered a truly miserable and painful fall.

The water in Jingzhou has become completely murky.

Su Jinmu nodded. "Did Professor Su and Mr. Xu also go to work overtime?"

"Mmm." Xu Yu responded, handed him two bags of snacks, and after a moment, raised her eyebrows slightly, seemingly nonchalant.

"You never seem to call them 'uncle' and 'aunt,' why is that?"

"I'm used to calling you that, don't overthink it," Su Jinmu said calmly.

Xu Yu slowly raised her eyes. "...Oh? You have this kind of habit?"

Su Jinmu: "..."

Why are they all staring at him?

Su Jinmu clicked her tongue.

We can't stay any longer; we need to make preparations quickly.

Su Jinmu then took Feng Yixing with her and went to various flower and plant markets several times to buy some suitable soil. When they returned to the Su family home, they closed the door to the greenhouse and adjusted the glass tint to an opaque, pure black.

Prepare the soil for filling the passageway after death.

The passage is vertical, while the soil layers, viewed from the Earth's surface, are horizontal, layer upon layer.

You can't just haphazardly fill the passage with all the soil; you have to fill and compact it in layers.

After tidying up the soil, Su Jinmu went down into the passage and entered the small underground house buried deep underground to check all the items she had prepared to ensure that everything was safe.

Replace all the flowerpots that need soil changing.

At this point, everything is ready.

Everything is ready, except for the east wind.

.

Su Jinmu took a deep breath, smiled, shook off the dirt, and went back to her room.

Li Xin is already here.

He's been very busy dealing with the Li family's affairs lately.

Su Jinmu had a faint smile on her face. Before she could even get close, the boy came up to her.

They stood in front of him.

Su Jinmu: "..."

Su Jinmu was almost completely enveloped in the boy's shadow. She casually raised her eyes, and her shimmering eyes were enchanting, like a tide, seemingly tempting one to fall into its allure.

"What are you doing?"

Li Xin blocked his way, reaching out to grab his wrist. His eyes were dark and unfathomable, but the corners of his mouth were slightly downturned, and his voice was muffled.

"Is the young master very happy?"

Su Jinmu: "...It's alright, how so?"

Su Jinmu glanced at him and smiled.

Li Xin's gaze was fixed intently on him.

They sleep together every day, but they are both busy with their own things. He feels like he hasn't seen the young master properly for several days.

Possessiveness stirred within him, spreading wildly throughout his body and invading his thoughts.

He wanted to hold onto people without restraint, to stick them together, and never separate them.

A sense of anxiety welled up in Li Xin's heart. He stared at the smile on his face, leaned closer and pressed his lips to the corner of his mouth, licking it with the tip of his scarlet tongue, his voice low and dark.

"The young master doesn't miss me."

Su Jinmu: "..."

Su Jinmu smiled, her lips slightly itchy from being licked. She chuckled, "Why would I miss you if we sleep together every day? I'll miss you when we're apart for a while."

"??"

"?!?!"

Su Jinmu smiled, as if it were just a casual remark and she didn't care at all.

Li Xin suddenly frowned, looked up, and a strange feeling spread. A chilling ghostly aura crept up around him, and he revealed a slow, arrogant smile.

"Young Master, what nonsense are you talking about?"

He chuckled softly, "How could the young master and I be separated?"

Su Jinmu: "..."

Su Jinmu casually mentioned, "Mmm, no, no, ugh—!"

Suddenly her waist tightened, and she lost her balance. Caught off guard, Su Jinmu was pushed against the wall, with a switch pressed against her back.

“Clatter.”

The lights went out.

The room was plunged into complete darkness, with only a faint light coming from outside the window.

Su Jinmu narrowed her eyes, her vision blurry, "...Li Xin?"

He couldn't see clearly, but Li Xin had excellent night vision and stared straight at him.

Like a lurking demon, fierce and waiting to devour him, it was almost touching his nose, staring intently.

His scarlet lips curved into a gentle yet terrifying smile.

"I don't like this sentence."

Li Xin licked the tip of his nose, which was icy cold, and laughed, "Young Master, would you like to say it again?"

Su Jinmu: "..."

Su Jinmu smiled relaxedly, her expression calm and tolerant. "Yes, we won't separate. I'll miss you."

Su Jinmu's expression was subtle, her smile gentle, and beneath her long eyelashes, her beautiful eyes seemed to be thinking about something.

Light and cheerful, without any gloom.

It is so clear that it leaves no trace.

Even a human figure cannot be seen.

Li Xin felt a chill run down his spine. The feeling of grasping at empty air returned, and his whole body tensed up as if he had been electrocuted. He exuded an almost chilling aura of malevolence.

"...Young Master, what...are you thinking about?"

Su Jinmu: "??"

Su Jinmu gave a slight smirk. "Now? I miss you."

He laughed, his eyes crinkling into crescents, and said slowly, "What's gotten into you again?"

Li Xin stared at him intently, his heart pounding, his blood surging, cold and astringent, almost to the point of madness.

The dark, menacing eyes and brows were pressed against his face, unblinking.

A cold, chilling touch brushed against the corner of his lips.

"No matter what you're thinking."

Li Xin smiled, a sinister and chilling smile, and gave him an intimate kiss, "Young Master, don't leave me, if you leave me..."

He laughed even harder, "I'm not sure I can accomplish anything."

A flash of light streaked across the room, illuminating it for a moment. Su Jinmu could see the boy's face clearly; he was pale and eerily handsome, with dark eyes.

Su Jinmu smiled and said, "What can you do? Tell me."

Li Xin laughed, affectionately and stickily licking him, "Maybe it's... I'll fuck you to death."
