Jiang Xi was stunned for a moment.
She had almost forgotten he existed.
Her gaze passed through the orcs, braving the wind and snow, and she saw a tall, handsome blond man carrying a cow, appearing in front of the courtyard.

"What happened?" he asked.
The beastmen in the courtyard shook their heads and then nodded.
Quirk, holding the lion cub, bowed to him.
"Lord Hollen, Little Di is injured. I have come to beg the Empress to heal Little Di."
Quake was once a member of the Brown Lion Clan in the Holy City, but he was exiled to the Cursed Lands after accidentally injuring a female.
For the Holy City and even most of the lion race, the Golden Lion Clan is the king of lions, and they cannot tolerate their insolence.
"Female?"
Hollen frowned slightly.
If he remembers correctly, only women favored by the emperor are worthy of the title of "female messenger," right?
Didn't Jiang Xi's outward spiritual power disappear?
Hollen looked up and gazed toward the fire room.
Yi Yuexi leaned against the door, her face still bearing that look of anticipation.
Inside the kitchen, several strange low platforms had appeared.
Mu Ling and Lu Liufeng stood behind one of the low platforms, on which sat a familiar yet unfamiliar figure.
Orcs have highly developed senses, so Hollen could clearly see the uneven skin tone on Jiang Xi's face.
He paused for two seconds when he met those dark eyes.
Those... those aren't the eyes Jiang Xi should have.
But the fluctuations in the marriage contract told him that the female sitting on the low platform was Jiang Xi.
Hollen walked into the yard, threw the cow he was carrying on his shoulder onto the ground, and then headed towards the kitchen.
The beastmen quickly made way, glanced at the cow with some envy, and then left.
As they drew closer, Hollen's face overlapped with the one Jiang Xi remembered.
With blond hair and blue eyes, handsome and sharp features, his profile was deep and noble. When he walked towards us, he looked like a majestic lion, exuding an imposing aura.
Jiang Xi hadn't recovered her strength yet. She leaned back in the chair, her head resting on Lu Liufeng's hand. As the tall figure approached, she slowly tilted her head back.
Hollen stopped in front of her, his sharp eyes lowered and focused entirely on her.
He narrowed his eyes, a sharp glint flashing in them.
Jiang Xi leaned back in her chair, looking up at him. Neither of them spoke.
Just as Lu Liufeng was about to speak, Huo Lun lowered his head first, his stray hairs falling down to cover his cold and sharp eyes.
He placed one hand on his chest and bowed in a holy ritual reserved for the holy city.
"The female master."
After finishing the ceremony, before Jiang Xi could speak, he straightened up and asked in feigned surprise.
"Has the female master regained her outward spiritual power?"
But no matter how much he pretended, his inherent arrogance and indifference could not be concealed.
He scrutinized Jiang Xi, as if trying to find a flaw in her.
Jiang Xi didn't care what he thought of her; she simply nodded.

Hollen's gaze fell on the strange food on the table. After a moment of surprise, he frowned.
"You're going to eat this now?"
He's only been gone for a little over a month, and their lives have already become so difficult?

Although the kitchen was filled with unfamiliar food aromas, Hollen subconsciously didn't associate them with the yellow, green, and white things on the table, which occasionally contained some meat.
He gestured with his chin toward the orcs.

His eyes flickered, and he glanced at Jiang Xi without making a sound.

After a few days, he had figured out the female master's eating habits.
She doesn't like to eat meat in the morning. Even if she does eat meat, she only soaks potato noodles in the broth, adds some leafy greens, and mixes them together.
Or perhaps it's sweet and soft corn.
As soon as Huo Lun placed the bowl down, he couldn't help but look at Lu Liufeng, a hint of surprise appearing on his cold and handsome face.
But what the other two orcs did next shocked him so much that he almost dropped the bowl.
Mu Ling quickly placed a piece of meat on the female's plate, his wolf eyes shining with anticipation.
"Mistress, eat meat!"
Yi Yuexi was different. He used a thin bamboo skewer that appeared out of nowhere to pierce the corn kernels and break them off directly.
Then, holding the string of corn kernels, he gracefully handed it to the female.
"Mistress, eat corn."
