Chapter 290 A chill ran down my spine

Jack's face turned ashen, and he roared furiously, "You're spouting nonsense! I've never deceived any woman's feelings, I've only ever loved Lina, and I've never done anything to betray her. Do you think you can make Lina believe your fabricated lies? Show me the evidence! If I have, I will lose Lina's love forever."

He spoke with such conviction and eloquence that Lina was deeply moved.

She was well protected by her father from a young age, a delicate flower living in a greenhouse, never experiencing any major storms, and only fascinated by the sweet love stories of the male and female protagonists on TV, longing to meet true love.

Jack's appearance brought her unprecedented happiness and sweetness. She was simple-minded and believed him when she heard him say that he would "lose Lina's love forever".

Look how much he loves me.

"Tch." Yi Tianran almost burst out laughing on the spot, and said sarcastically, "Have you been watching too many idol dramas? You don't love her to begin with, so what does it matter if you lose her love? It's cheap and disgusting."

Lena was taken aback by her words, then immediately became furious and said, "I won't allow you to humiliate Jack's love for me. I believe in him!"

Yi Tianran: "..."

"Haha, what do you have to say now?" Jack put his arm around Lina's shoulder triumphantly. "We don't have time to play along with your act, Lina, let's go."

Lina nodded, looking at Yi Tianran with pity. "Sister, you are young and beautiful, so you should have many suitors. It's a pity you don't understand what love is! I really feel sorry for you."

Yi Tianran: "..." Damn! She actually got sympathy?

Love really does make people lose their minds.

After Lina finished speaking, she turned and left with Jack, who was smug about his success.

The next second, a desperate female voice rang out from behind—

"Jack! Don't go! You said you'd only love me for the rest of your life and that you'd take responsibility for me. But now I've given up everything for you, and you're saying you don't want me anymore? Why!"

“Rebecca, I know you’re stupid, but I never thought you were this stupid. You’re willing to give up your family’s inheritance to your cousin just to elope with me! If it weren’t for your money, do you think I would have coaxed you into being with you? Do you think I’m after your looks or your capricious and willful temper? I’m looking for a rich woman, not a queen to serve you, understand?” Jack’s sarcastic voice rang out.

Lina returned in disbelief and saw Yi Tianran holding a watch, playing a holographic video—

"No, I don't believe you would be so heartless to me." The woman in the picture was no less beautiful or less attractive than her, but her face was red and swollen with tears, which fell silently like beads from a broken string. The sadness in her eyes almost overwhelmed her.

"Save your energy!" Jack frowned in disgust. "You really think you can make people feel sorry for you by crying your eyes out? That's just something I told you to fool you with. Who are you trying to disgust with all that snot and tears? I don't want to see you again."

He completely lost patience, picked up his suitcase, and left.

"No!" The woman rushed forward, grabbing his arm tightly as if it were her only lifeline. "Please... don't abandon me! I'm carrying your child!"

"What?" Jack turned around abruptly, his expression one of shock.

The woman thought she had softened and changed her mind, and immediately said excitedly, "I'm telling the truth, it's our child! For you, I've completely broken ties with my parents, they can never accept me again, this child... please, for the sake of the child, please keep it!"

The next second, Jack forcefully shoved her arm away, throwing her to the ground. His face contorted with rage, he said, "Go and get rid of this bastard right now. I'm not going to raise you. Get out!"

"Ah—" The woman's stomach slammed against the corner of the table, her face drained of color from the pain, and blood had begun to flow from her lower body. "No, my child, Jack, save us..."

Seeing her like this, Jack felt no sympathy whatsoever. Instead, he sneered, "Perfect, this bastard child miscarried on its own, saving me the trouble of taking medicine to get rid of him."

After saying that, he turned and left heartlessly, completely disregarding the life or death of the woman behind him.

"No!" Jack's face turned deathly pale the moment he saw the video. He rushed forward to grab her watch, but Yi Tianran delivered a spinning kick to his groin.

The pain was so intense that veins bulged on his face, his eyes widened in agony, and he collapsed to his knees with a thud, unable to even utter a sound.

After the video ended, Yi Tianran turned off the holographic display, raised an eyebrow, and looked down at the bloodless Jack, saying, "Do you think I would dare to come and settle accounts with you without some evidence?"

She had done her homework from the moment she accepted the mission.

He thought he had gotten away with everything by changing his country, his name, and his identity.

Unfortunately, their skills were exposed under the investigation of the three little ones, and even their underwear was stripped off.

“You…” Jack was in so much pain that he was drenched in cold sweat. He instinctively looked at Lina.

But she stood there, expressionless, her voice devoid of any emotion: "Is this true?"

"With video evidence, how could it be faked?" Yi Tianran crossed her arms and said with a half-smile, "If you still don't believe me, I have other evidence. He's ruined at least seven or eight women, if not ten! Want to see it?"

"No!" Jack was still making a last-ditch effort. "Lina, don't believe this woman. She has bad intentions and is deliberately trying to ruin us. This video must be fake. She will stop at nothing to break us up."

Lena walked up to him step by step, reached into her bag, her eyes so dark they revealed no warmth. "Jack, I'm asking you one last time, did you kill your unborn child with your own hands?"

Jack was startled by her gaze.

He was just a flower grown in a greenhouse, yet for a moment, he felt a sense of fear.

He quickly shook his head, thinking it was just his imagination.

Lina is so easily fooled; no matter what I say, she will believe me.

Thinking of this, he shamelessly said, "Of course not, how could I be so cruel—"

Before he could finish speaking, a sharp, cold glint flashed before his eyes.

Before Jack could even react, he suddenly felt a chill beneath him.

Three seconds later, excruciating pain and blood gushed out simultaneously, and a pig-like scream echoed throughout the street.

Lina swiftly severed his "tool of the crime," then pulled out the dagger and threw it into the river.
