The auction ended with a dinner.
Yi Tianran had originally planned to leave with Fu Yunchen, but then some clueless people came knocking on her door.
Yi Hai, with a fawning smile, came up to greet him: "President Fu, I'm so sorry about earlier. I didn't know you liked this painting! I shouldn't have bid on it."
"Oh my, President Fu is so young and promising, and so handsome! With such good looks, he must be a heartthrob for countless beautiful girls!" Liu Ruyi added, offering insincere flattery.
Fu Yunchen glanced at them expressionlessly, his gaze so sinister and cold that it chilled them to the bone, causing them to involuntarily take a half-step back.
Yi Tianran smiled helplessly and whispered in Fu Yunchen's ear, "These two are my enemies, leave them to me!"
Warm breath brushed past his ear, and Fu Yunchen's nose was filled with the woman's sweet scent.
He gave Yi Tianran a deep look, knowing she was trying to make fun of the Yi family, and left without saying another word.
Liu Ruyi suddenly snapped out of her shock. "Huh? Why did President Fu leave already? I haven't even introduced myself yet—"
If you could introduce your daughter to such a talented young man, it would be like climbing the social ladder and becoming a phoenix!
"This must be Mrs. Yi! It's true what they say, you're much older than I imagined... by several years!" Yi Tianran's teasing voice suddenly rang out.
Liu Ruyi's face darkened: "What do you mean?"
"The rumors say that Mrs. Yi is beautiful, has a slender figure, and fair and firm skin, but now she seems... completely different from the rumors!"
Yi Tianran's clear eyes revealed a hint of mockery, and her tone was melodious, her words just loud enough for everyone around to hear clearly, "If you didn't know better, you'd think she was some country girl dressed in bright colors coming to the banquet to join in the fun!"

It's all because of this stupid woman. She stank so badly a while ago, and now she's embarrassed him again.

The next second, Yi Tianran clicked her tongue twice and said, "There are many nobles in Country X. I wonder which faction you belong to?"
