Qin Kou'er shook her head slightly. "No! If he only wanted money, he wouldn't bother mobilizing so many people. Two or three million taels of silver would only be enough to reinforce the main dike at most. The fact that he sent so many people here definitely isn't just for Lan Xiuyuan."

Qin Kou'er turned to look at Jun Yannuo and lowered her voice, asking, "Have our people found any clues in those places?"

Qin Kou'er frowned slightly. "Have you seen the frost flowers these past two days?"
Jun Yannuo was taken aback, glanced reflexively at Lao Qi at the door, then shook his head and said softly, "When I saw Sha Da today, he did mention that he had seen Shuanghua this morning, but I didn't pay attention after that!"

After watching Jun Yannuo leave, Qin Kou'er sighed and stood up. She picked up her umbrella with her delicate hand, glanced back at Lan Linxue's room, and then turned and walked out as well.
After Qin Kou'er left, Lao Qi frowned and thought for a while. He decided that he would definitely tell his master when he got back that his wife and that pretty boy had been whispering to each other for a long time.
Lan Linxue didn't sleep for very long.
When he regained consciousness with his eyes closed, he touched the edge of the bed.
With a sigh, he reluctantly opened his eyes and looked at what was in front of him. Qin Kou'er was indeed gone.
