Chapter 103 Hello, assassin!

Nightingale's expression suddenly darkened, returning to her cold and ruthless demeanor: "We need someone alive and breathing! Otherwise, it won't look like someone who hanged themselves, kicked over the candlestick, and then disposed of the body."

Qin Kou'er frowned: "Why are you so long-winded!"

Nightingale stood up and walked to Qin Kou'er's side, sneering, "What are you so proud of? Hmph, when it comes to these things, you and I are like master and grand-disciple! You're so indecisive, I'll do it myself, you just wait here!"

As she spoke, the nightingale turned and floated lightly out of the window.

Qin Kou'er was so angry that she could only stare blankly at the ground.

However, Nightingale was indeed extremely swift in his movements. Even with one arm missing, he still carried a large, unconscious man back quickly.

"Come here and help me change Gu Minglang's clothes!"

Without saying a word, Qin Kou'er went over and helped Nightingale change Gu Minglang's clothes.

When it comes to staging murder scenes, Nightingale is an expert among experts.

Qin Kou'er didn't ask Nightingale who the person she brought back was or where she got him. She knew it was better not to ask some things, otherwise it would hurt feelings in the end.

The two of them worked together and quickly got everything set up.

Qin Kou'er hung the hanging rope on the main beam, and Nightingale hoisted the man up directly.

Soon, the person who had fainted began to respond. Nightingale quickly placed a candlestick at her feet and then began to make a mess of the room again.

Qin Kou'er looked at him and suddenly said, "Why go through all this trouble?"

Nightingale's face remained grim, her actions unwavering. "The higher-ups only said to have Gu Minglang hang himself, not that there would be a fire. To avoid revealing that this person isn't Gu Minglang, we have to burn him. This step will create many more problems. I need to make the scene look like a fight has taken place so that it can be burned down legitimately. Otherwise, do you really think I'd want you to leave me with so many wounds?"

Qin Kou'er smiled slightly: "I did this to give you an explanation, so you can go back and report!"

"Thank you so much! You really didn't hold back at all!"

Qin Kou'er nodded, her expression finally relaxing a bit: "No need to be so polite, we're all old friends!"

Nightingale suddenly stopped what she was doing and glared at Qin Kou'er fiercely: "Get out! Get out now! Just looking at you hurts my eyes! And take that idiot outside with you too! I can't stand his stupidity."

Qin Kou'er smiled slightly, grabbed the still unconscious Gu Minglang, and turned to Nightingale, saying, "Let's just make do for now! We have to put on a good show first!"

With that, Qin Kou'er grabbed Gu Minglang, turned around, and disappeared through the window.

Nightingale watched Qin Kou'er's retreating figure, his mind filled with complex emotions. But when he turned back, he transformed into the calm and ruthless killer once more.

After arranging everything, he pushed the candlesticks onto the documents still scattered on the table, and a fire broke out instantly. He then quickly grabbed his pen and disappeared.

Mo Hun searched for a long time outside the door but couldn't find the person he wanted to see. He felt disappointed and melancholy.

Just as he was walking back with his head down, he saw that Gu Minglang's room was engulfed in flames.

Qin Kou'er, burdened by Gu Minglang, dared not waste a single moment. Dawn was already breaking; if others saw them, it wouldn't just be a matter of life and death.

So, she quickly carried Gu Minglang and landed in Lan Linxue's courtyard.

When he kicked the door open, he also kicked the seventh brother, who was guarding the door, flying away.

Lan Linxue had not yet gotten up.

After Qin Kou'er left, he felt that he had indeed been a little... well, you know, last night. His whole body ached, so he hugged his pillow and lay down to sleep again, swaying back and forth.

So when Qin Kou'er kicked the door open and threw her burdens to the ground, he was so startled that he sat up abruptly and reflexively opened his eyes.

Upon seeing that it was Qin Kou'er, his morning grumpiness kicked in.

He tossed the pillow in his arms to the ground, and without saying a word, frowned and stared at Qin Kou'er with a gloomy expression.

Qin Kou'er didn't even glance at him. She turned around and closed the door.

They almost smashed Lao Qi's nose.

After finishing all that, Qin Kou'er turned around and looked at Lan Linxue with annoyance. She walked over and whispered, "What time is it? Why aren't you up yet?"

Lan Linxue looked at him coldly, her face full of displeasure, and beckoned to Qin Kou'er with her little finger.

Qin Kou'er walked over helplessly.

Lan Linxue grabbed Qin Kou'er and pulled her into her arms, then rolled her onto the bed.

"Sleepy!"

Qin Kou'er was truly exasperated with him. She struggled to sit up in his arms, "Didn't you see I brought back a living person? You still have the mood to sleep? If you sleep any longer, Lan Xiuyuan will chop your head off!"

"Let him chop! If he can't chop it down, he's a coward!" Lan Linxue closed her eyes and used both hands and feet to try to drag Qin Kou'er onto the bed.

"The person I captured is Gu Minglang!"

Qin Kou'er couldn't take it anymore. She grabbed Lan Linxue's hand and used a simple grappling technique to wake him up.

"Who?" Lan Linxue finally let go of Qin Kou'er, sat up with her, and tilted her head to look at Gu Minglang, who was still unconscious on the ground.

Upon recognizing Gu Minglang, Lan Linxue immediately frowned, pointed at him, and asked Qin Kou'er, "Why did you arrest him?"

Qin Kou'er sat beside her and briefly recounted the events in a low voice.
