Look, it's already having an effect; Lan Linxue can no longer stand her half-dead state.
Only a father knows best what his son is like.
What you plant, you reap. Hmph, that's exactly how his wife treated him back then!
Lan Shanyang slowly stood up from the ground, looking at Lan Linxue with a hint of helplessness and laziness: "I've always married my concubines openly and honestly. But you, you're always secretly following Qin Kou'er around, what's going on? Let me tell you, don't be reckless and cause trouble for me. Then, I won't help you!"
As she spoke, Lan Shanyang took a step forward, but when she bent down, she stepped on a broken vase. She immediately yelled angrily, "Look what you've done! Why did you have to tear down my imperial study? Tell me! How am I supposed to explain this to everyone else?!"
Lan Linxue stared at Lan Shanyang without saying a word for a long time.
He felt that his father was being arrogant, and that arrogance made him feel very frustrated. It was the kind of frustration where he was the one who did something wrong, but the emperor was the one who was right.
Lan Linxue felt that he was completely passive and speechless today, and his depressed mood was simply out of control.
He stared at his father, feeling that he needed to find someone who shared his feelings to make himself feel better.
And Lan Shanyang in front of him was the perfect scapegoat.
"Are you sure you won't help me?" Lan Linxue looked coldly at Lan Shanyang in front of her, her eyes swirling with a dark conspiracy.
"What can I do to help you? You smash up my imperial study whenever you're unhappy! Tell me, how many times have you smashed it since you were a child? How many of my treasures have you destroyed?"
As she spoke, Lan Shanyang looked down at her belongings. It would have been better if she hadn't looked, because once she did, she started to feel sorry for them.
"Look at what you've done to Master Song's calligraphy and painting!" As she spoke, Lan Shanyang actually bent down to grab the torn calligraphy and painting. "In the entire palace, this is the only good one left! You just destroyed it like that, where am I supposed to find it again!"
Qin Kou'er and Jing Quan listened outside the door, and the two exchanged a glance.
Qin Kou'er's face was full of dark lines; the change in demeanor was too abrupt. Just a moment ago, the father and son were putting on a melodramatic show, and now they're suddenly feeling sorry for the calligraphy and paintings?
Jing Quan laughed. He knew that as long as the art style was changed to this, the father and son would basically be fine.
Lan Linxue watched Lan Shanyang resentfully as he lamented his own tattered belongings. Suddenly, while her father was still rambling on, she blurted out, "Qin Kou'er is pregnant! If you still want to see your grandson, then hurry up and let us get married!"
After saying that, Lan Linxue didn't say a word more, turned around and forcefully opened the door, almost causing Qin Kou'er and Jing Quan to slip inside.
Qin Kou'er looked up at Lan Linxue in surprise, while Quan Jing stared in shock at the young master in front of her.
Lan Linxue glared fiercely at Quan Jing, "Did you hear that? If you heard it, hurry up and persuade the old man! Get this done quickly! If you don't, I'll not only ensure that no one inherits the throne, but I'll also make sure he never sees his grandson's little feet!"
After saying that, Lan Linxue grabbed Qin Kou'er's hand and, without even looking to either side, quickly pulled her out.
Just as Lan Linxue was about to reach the door, Lan Shanyang finally reacted from behind, throwing the scroll in his hand with all his might and roaring at the top of his lungs, "Lan Linxue! You little beast! Stop right there!"
Lan Linxue paused for a moment, but the next second, her face was full of determination as she resolutely led Qin Kou'er out.
Watching her son's retreating figure, Lan Shanyang suddenly clutched her chest and bent over, exclaiming, "Oh dear! I'm so angry! I'm so angry! Just let me die already! I can't take care of this anymore!"
Upon seeing the panoramic view, he was so frightened that he quickly ran inside and helped Lan Shanyang sit down to the side.
Lan Shanyang wasn't the only one who was frightened; Qin Kou'er, whose hand had been held by Lan Linxue, was also startled.
Qin Kou'er wanted to say something, but Lan Linxue's face was ashen, and she couldn't hear a single word from her, nor was she even given a chance to speak.
With Shuanghua and the others following closely behind, Qin Kou'er really couldn't say anything, even if she wanted to.
Finally arriving at Lan Linxue's place, as soon as they entered the gate, Lan Linxue let go of Qin Kou'er and rushed into the house alone, slamming the door shut and ignoring everyone.
Shuanghua and the others didn't know exactly what had happened, but judging from Lan Linxue's appearance, this time her conflict with the Emperor was more serious than ever before. Therefore, everyone automatically lowered their guard, and no one dared to approach her easily.
Qin Kou'er sighed and turned to Shuanghua, whispering, "Don't let anyone near the house!"
After saying that, Qin Kou'er took a step forward, slowly walked up, gently pushed open the door, and went inside alone.
Lan Linxue was not in the outer room.
Qin Kou'er sighed softly, closed the door behind her, and then walked slowly into the inner room. She found Lan Linxue lying on the bed, completely covered by the quilt, ignoring everyone.
Qin Kou'er walked to the bedside, gently sat down next to Lan Linxue, then leaned on Lan Linxue's shoulder and carefully pulled the blanket off his head.
In just a moment, when Qin Kou'er saw that Lan Linxue's face was already covered in tears, her heart ached for no reason.
Lifting Lan Linxue's head and gently embracing her, Qin Kou'er whispered sadly, "Cry! Just cry it all out!"
