Qin Kou'er has been indulging in a lot of eating and sleeping lately.
Even she herself felt that her pregnancy was becoming more and more obvious.
Moreover, she vomited much more often, although she always managed to secretly endure it, but this child was indeed different from other children.
Other people only vomit when they are eating or smelling something that doesn't smell right.
This little guy does whatever he feels like. Sometimes he'll wake Qin Kou'er up in the middle of the night to vomit, and sometimes he'll make her go out at dusk to vomit. In short, whenever he makes his mother vomit is entirely up to his own preference.
Unlike now, early in the morning, before anything was even wrong, the fire was forced to wake Qin Kou'er from her dream, and she went out to vomit with her eyes closed.
Qin Kou'er felt like she was going to vomit up all her bile before the little guy finally calmed down a bit.
Qin Kou'er struggled to eat a sour apricot before she felt better, but her face was deathly pale and tears were streaming down her face.
I slowly walked to the table and sat down, wanting to sleep a little longer, but I just couldn't fall asleep.
Rubbing her stomach, Qin Kou'er sat in the chair, her eyelids heavy, lost in thought.
When will this ever end? If they don't get married soon, everyone will find out. That would be truly embarrassing.
Qin Kou'er felt annoyed at the thought of all this. Then, thinking that Lan Linxue was probably sleeping soundly in her bed, she became even angrier: Why was she making such a fuss while the culprit was sleeping soundly? It was just not fair.
Qin Kou'er sat there in a daze, but then she noticed faint footsteps coming from the roof above her. She immediately looked up alertly, her eyes instantly turning cold. It's true what they say, the longer you live, the more things happen. A thief dared to come and steal from her roof; they must be tired of living.
Qin Kou'er listened carefully, located the thief's position, and then suddenly threw the teacup in her hand away.
"Get down here!"
Sure enough, the spot where the teacup shattered was exactly where the thief had landed. Soon, with a soft sound, a tall, slender figure landed outside the door.
The man didn't speak, and neither did Qin Kou'er. With a cold face, she gripped the dagger she had pulled from under the table tightly in her hand.
However, the person quickly responded. He actually walked to the door and gently knocked.
Qin Kou'er sneered. She came out to be a thief, but now she thinks of knocking on the door. She's really putting on a big show.
Qin Kou'er didn't expose her, but instead stood up, walked to the door, and pulled it open.
With a chilling gaze fixed on the man dressed entirely in black outside, Qin Kou'er sneered, "What? Now you want to talk about manners? Isn't it a bit too late!"
The man in black looked at Qin Kou'er, then instantly pulled something out of his pocket and waved it in front of her.
Qin Kou'er had sharp eyes and immediately recognized it as a gold badge from the Imperial Palace, knowing that it belonged to the Emperor.
"Miss Qin, the Emperor wants to see you, now!"
Qin Kou'er glanced at the sky outside. What could the Emperor possibly want with her in this dimly lit morning?
Do you know what it is?
The man didn't answer at all, but said even more coldly, "Leave now!"
As he spoke, he turned around and used his lightness skill to leap up again, standing on the roof beam of Qin Kou'er's house, looking down at her coldly.
Qin Kou'er thought for a moment, then without saying a word, she leaped up and, together with that person, quickly sped towards the palace.
Qin Kou'er thought she would have to fly into the palace, but to her surprise, after walking through several streets, a sedan chair was waiting for her.
The man landed beside the sedan chair and pointed inside to Qin Kou'er.
Qin Kou'er didn't say anything, but walked over and sat down inside, quietly waiting for what would happen next.
The sedan chair was quickly lifted up, both fast and stable.
Qin Kou'er knew that the people carrying her sedan chair must be highly skilled, as they were able to carry it so quickly without it swaying at all.
However, she still couldn't understand why Lan Shanyang had come to see her so early in the morning.
Soon, the sedan chair entered the palace, and after many twists and turns, it was carried to the entrance of Kunning Palace.
Qin Kou'er didn't say a word. After getting off the sedan chair, she saw Quan Jing smile at her and then lead her inside.
Upon entering the main hall, one could see Lan Shanyang sitting in the center with a gloomy expression, looking unhappy at all.
Qin Kou'er walked in and was about to bow in greeting, but Lan Shanyang impatiently waved her hand and pointed behind her.
Qin Kou'er was taken aback, but she quickly realized that Qin Meiying was looking for her.
Qin Kou'er smiled slightly, then bowed to Lan Shanyang before quickly walking to the back.
Lan Shanyang watched Qin Kou'er leave with a gloomy expression before continuing to sulk after waking up.
This morning, before he was even fully awake, Qin Meiying, as if out of nowhere, woke him up, insisting on seeing Qin Kou'er without saying why. She forced him to send someone there, and then kicked him out before letting anyone in. He had no idea what she was planning.
Women are all so unpredictable, and he's still half asleep. How is he going to attend court later?
Qin Kou'er walked to the back alone, and before she even pushed open the door, she smelled the sandalwood scent inside.
Qin Kou'er carefully knocked on the door and cautiously entered the room.
Qin Meiying had already gotten up and tidied herself up. She was standing in front of a memorial tablet, looking at it quietly.
"Kou'er greets her aunt!"
As soon as Qin Kou'er entered the room, she quietly bowed to Qin Meiying.
