Seeing that Qin Kou'er was still relentless, Lan Linxue grabbed her around the waist and shoved her into the inner quilt, saying resentfully, "Qin Kou'er, I've finally given up on you! You can't stand not tormenting me for a day, can you? When did I say I wouldn't eat anymore!"
"Have you calmed down yet?" Qin Kou'er raised her chin and pouted.
Lan Linxue squeezed her eyes shut. "Don't be angry anymore, okay?"
After saying that, he sat down to one side, panting heavily, pulling the blanket so hard it creaked and twisted.
Qin Kou'er chuckled to herself, then pointed to the food box on the ground and said, "Go and get that?"
"I'm not going!"
"Not going? Fine!" Qin Kou'er nodded. "Then I'll give Shuanghua all the pea flour cakes I made when I go out later. Anyway, he hasn't eaten properly for several days!"
"No way!" Lan Linxue jumped up reflexively.
He strode over, picked up Qin Kou'er's food box, and gently opened it.
Pea flour cake, lotus seed soup, stir-fried double crispy soup, Longjing shrimp, minced meat and sea cucumber, vegetarian assortment, and a plate of golden honey-glazed yam.
The aroma is intoxicating, and the beauty is exquisite.
Lan Linxue was pleasantly surprised and looked up at Qin Kou'er while holding the things, "Did you make all of this?"
Qin Kou'er nodded and beckoned to him, "Bring it here. I haven't eaten much for three days, and I can't hold on much longer!"
Hearing Qin Kou'er say that, Lan Linxue walked over, grumbling, and said, "You're as weak as a willow leaf, why are you trying to starve yourself like that? You idiot!"
After walking over, she placed the food box on the bed, then looked around and went to get two clean silk handkerchiefs to wipe her hands.
Finally, he sat down next to Qin Kou'er, picked up his chopsticks, and first fed a shrimp directly into Qin Kou'er's mouth.
Then, surprisingly, he didn't mind and picked up a piece of yam and put it in his mouth.
"How is it? Is it delicious?"
Lan Linxue chewed slowly for a long time before nodding reluctantly: "At least I don't have to spit it out!"
Qin Kou'er knew that Lan Linxue would never compromise his taste; if the flavor was even slightly off, he would be the first to spit it out. This time, however, he not only ate it but also chewed it slowly, clearly indicating that he was very satisfied with the taste.
"Eat more if you like!"
As she spoke, Qin Kou'er took a small spoon and ladled a bowl of lotus seed soup for Lan Linxue, handing it to him.
"You made all of this?" Lan Linxue looked at the things in front of her and suddenly felt a warmth in her heart. She actually washed her hands to cook for him. Isn't this what a wife should do?
Qin Kou'er nodded slightly, then took a piece of pea flour cake, broke it into small pieces, and put it into Lan Linxue's bowl. "You haven't eaten for several days. Others may not worry, but shouldn't I? I can't just watch my man starve to death!"
The phrase "my man" instantly melted away all of Lan Linxue's anger.
Secretly pursing her lips and revealing a slight smile, Lan Linxue lowered her head and ate the entire pea flour cake in two bites.
"Mmm, delicious!"
Seeing that his expression had eased considerably, Qin Kou'er couldn't help but put some more in the bowl next to him.
Although Qin Kou'er hadn't eaten properly for several days, she was full after only a couple of sips of porridge. She had little appetite and ate very little.
"Why are you eating so little? Is it not to your liking? I'll have them make it for you again!"
As she spoke, Lan Linxue was about to get up.
Qin Kou'er grabbed him and said, "I don't have an appetite, I don't want to eat!"
Lan Linxue frowned, quickly sat down again, and looked at Qin Kou'er with concern, "Did I hit you too hard? Are your injuries too serious? I'll go and call the imperial physician for you!"
Qin Kou'er quickly grabbed Lan Linxue's hand and shook her head, "It's nothing! I'll be fine after a couple of days of rest! Don't bother others. After you finish eating, go change your clothes, and let's sit down and talk properly!"
Lan Linxue looked down at her clothes and saw bloodstains. She frowned, stood up, and went to the screen behind her to change.
"Are you disgusted by the sight of blood? Seriously, you're out of your mind! You should have changed it just now!"
Lan Linxue quickly came over after changing her clothes. "Okay, I've changed! Eat something else!"
Qin Kou'er shook her head, "I really can't eat anymore!"
"No way! If you eat so little, what if the wind blows you away?"
Without further ado, he poured another bowl of lotus seed soup for Qin Kou'er and fed it to her.
Seeing that Qin Kou'er really couldn't eat anymore, Lan Linxue finally gave up.
After packing her things away, Lan Linxue went back, stretched out her long arm, and pulled Qin Kou'er into her arms. The two leaned against each other and talked.
Qin Kou'er nestled in Lan Linxue's arms and suddenly chuckled like a little fox.
"What are you laughing at?" Lan Linxue stroked Qin Kou'er's hair, wishing that time could stand still forever.
Qin Kou'er glanced at Lan Linxue before covering her mouth and giggling, "I'm laughing at you for not having showered for three days, how come you don't smell bad at all?"
Lan Linxue immediately felt a chill run down her spine. After thinking for a moment, she said in a very serious tone, "This young master is a beauty of unparalleled grace and has a captivating fragrance. Of course, I wouldn't stink!"
Qin Kou'er nodded, "Yes, yes, the Crown Prince is the reincarnation of a Qilin and born from a lotus, of course he won't smell! Only us commoners bathe every day. But we have a deal, if you dare to go to bed without bathing, I'll kick you off!"
Lan Linxue looked at Qin Kou'er with some surprise, then laughed, "Qin Kou'er, are you setting rules for me?"
"What, can't we set rules?"
