Qin Kou'er smiled and nodded. If Lan Linxue still had the strength to kill her, she would really have to thank the Bodhisattva for protecting him and preventing him from starving to death.
Qin Kou'er slowly walked to the door with her things in her hands. After thinking for a moment, she didn't knock but gently pushed the door open.
A ray of sunlight streamed into the room along with Qin Kou'er.
"roll!"
A low, somber voice, like the roar of a wounded beast, came from the inner room.
Qin Kou'er sighed softly, turned around, closed the door, and went inside with the food box.
The room was a mess. Everything was smashed on the floor, the windows were tightly shut, the bedding on the bed was in disarray, and a person was lying on the bed with their head covered.
Qin Kou'er looked at the ground. It was surprising that Lan Linxue, a person with mysophobia, could stay in such a pigsty-like environment for three days. It seemed that she was really injured this time.
Qin Kou'er lifted a small table, gently placed the food box on it, and sat down beside Lan Linxue's bed.
"How dare you!"
Lan Linxue sensed someone sitting down next to her and, without thinking, slapped them across the face.
Qin Kou'er didn't even think of dodging. She closed her eyes slightly, preparing to take the angry slap.
Lan Linxue swung her palm, showing no mercy whatsoever, and struck Qin Kou'er squarely.
When he finally saw Qin Kou'er bending over in the dim light, his expression changed drastically.
He instinctively reached out to catch Qin Kou'er, but then suddenly remembered their past grievances. His thoughts faltered, and Qin Kou'er slid to the ground.
Lan Linxue was both angry and annoyed. She slammed her hand on the bed and growled in a hoarse voice, "Who let you in? Where's Shuanghua? This damned servant is really asking for it!"
Qin Kou'er felt her blood churning inside her. She closed her eyes and slowly circulated her internal energy, trying to calm her turbulent blood and qi.
Even so, a drop of blood still trickled down the corner of her mouth.
Looking at Qin Kou'er's pale face, her frail body, and her tightly closed eyes, Lan Linxue felt a sharp pain in her heart.
The two remained silent for a long time, like the low pressure before a storm, making it hard to breathe.
Finally, Lan Linxue couldn't take it anymore.
He stomped to the ground, bent down and forcefully picked up Qin Kou'er, panting slightly, and roughly walked out.
Qin Kou'er leaned against Lan Linxue's chest, smelling his scent, and suddenly her head slumped against his shoulder, as if she was very tired but unable to lift it up again.
"Lan Linxue, if you throw me out now, we're really finished!"
Lan Linxue's steps froze instantly.
After a long silence, he finally spoke in a cold, heavy voice: "Three days ago, we were finished!"
With that, he took another step outside.
"You're finished, but I'm not! This doesn't count!"
As she spoke, Qin Kou'er slightly opened her eyes, raised her head to look at the handsome profile within reach, and gently touched it: "You've lost weight!"
Lan Linxue stiffly turned her head, glancing sideways at the woman in her arms, her teeth starting to ache.
"My charm won't work on me!"
Qin Kou'er chuckled. Her hair tickled Lan Linxue's face.
Reaching out and hooking her arm around Lan Linxue's neck, Qin Kou'er said softly, "Useless? But I think it's very useful! At least you haven't thrown me out yet! Lan Linxue, can't we talk about this calmly?"
"No!" With that, Lan Linxue released Qin Kou'er and threw her to the ground. She then turned and stiffly returned to the bed. "You didn't leave me any room for negotiation, so what's the point of talking about it!"
He reached out and pulled the blanket over his head again.
Qin Kou'er looked at Lan Linxue, sighed softly, clutched her still slightly aching chest, slowly walked to the bedside and sat down, reaching out to gently lift Lan Linxue's blanket.
"What are you doing? Get out!"
Lan Linxue slapped Qin Kou'er's hand away and angrily pulled the blanket over her.
Just as he was about to close the blanket, Qin Kou'er grabbed him. Leaning against the wall, she looked down at him and said, "If I leave, you'll starve to death!"
"I want to! It's none of your business!"
"If you starve to death, who will marry me?..."
As they were talking, Qin Kou'er suddenly coughed up a mouthful of blood, which splattered all over Lan Linxue's face.
Lan Linxue was stunned for a moment, then suddenly sat up, pulled Qin Kou'er into her arms, and said anxiously, "Are you hurt? Why are you spitting blood? Did you hit her too hard? Let me see!"
As she spoke, Lan Linxue anxiously reached out to pull at Qin Kou'er's clothes to check her chest.
Qin Kou'er was slightly out of breath, her brows furrowed, and she weakly grabbed his hand, "What are you looking at? You can't just look at a woman's breasts like that!"
Lan Linxue was taken aback, then immediately shouted angrily, "What time is it? Why are you still meddling in these things? Let me see!"
As he spoke, he pushed Qin Kou'er's hand away and reached out to touch her chest.
Qin Kou'er grabbed Lan Linxue's hand again and looked straight at him: "Lan Linxue, you'll have to take responsibility after you've seen this!"
Lan Linxue stared down at Qin Kou'er, then suddenly became angry. She picked Qin Kou'er up and threw her onto the bed, then turned around and sat on the edge of the bed in a huff. "Qin Kou'er! Don't try to trick me! Let me tell you, this isn't over between us! There are some things I haven't forgotten!"
Qin Kou'er didn't care at all. She smiled slightly, lay back on the bed, and said softly, "It seems we're really doomed. You're about to beat me to death, and you're only thinking about your own feelings, without considering my situation at all!"
Qin Kou'er would never admit that she deliberately forced herself to vomit up the blood clots in order to win Lan Linxue back.
