Chapter 89 Those who are willful will not have a good ending.

"How many roads are there on the mountain?" Lan Linxue didn't want to waste a minute. All he wanted to do now was find Qin Kou'er as soon as possible and keep her by his side.

“There’s only one main road. But with this kind of rain, the river is swollen, and the main road is too close to the river. I’m afraid the leader will lead people to take the back paths. So, even if there’s no road, we must bring more people up the mountain!”

"Alright! Then go and arrange the manpower right now!" Lan Linxue's imperial aura unconsciously emanated as she commanded Jun Yannuo, "Give me one person, and I'll take men to search. Once there's any news, use your signal to contact us!"

With that, Lan Linxue led Shuanghua toward the door.

Jun Yannuo, however, stepped in front of him and blocked his way.

"The Crown Prince cannot go! The wind and rain are so fierce tonight, and the mountain road is so dangerous. If something happens to the Crown Prince, it will be a heavy responsibility that no one can bear. Don't worry, we will take care of finding the Pavilion Master. We will definitely bring him back safely! As soon as we bring him back, we will inform you immediately!"

Lan Linxue hates this kind of nonsense the most.

Why should someone else have to find his woman?!

Looking coldly at Jun Yannuo, Lan Linxue only said two words: "Get out of the way!"

Jun Yannuo stared stubbornly at Lan Linxue, but his body did not move at all.

The second time, Lan Linxue remained silent, raised her hand, and lashed out with a whip, striking Jun Yannuo directly.

Jun Yannu frowned, but his body remained completely still.

Seeing Jun Yannuo being beaten, Gong Erniang immediately rushed over and yelled at Lan Linxue, "What are you doing?"

Shuanghua frowned, stepped forward, grabbed Gong Erniang's arm, and threw her to the ground.

His gaze, however, was fixed on Jun Yannuo, locked in a contest.

"The Crown Prince said you must move aside!"

"Otherwise what?" Jun Yannuo asked without backing down.

"Or I'll kill her!"

Shuanghua pointed directly at Gong Erniang, who was in so much pain she was almost in tears.

Jun Yannuo glanced at Lan Linxue, whose eyes were now radiating a cold light, and gently moved away from her, bypassing Shuanghua's shoulder.

Shuanghua turned around and made way for Lan Linxue, who walked past with a sinister expression.

Frost flowers followed closely.

Soon, the large group of men, carrying torches, disappeared into the distant woods with a whoosh.

Lan Linxue rode her spirited horse, facing the wind and rain head-on.

He seemed to feel no pain at all; he had only one thought in his mind: to find Qin Kou'er and be there for her when she needed him.

Qin Kou'er felt that her biggest mistake was not stopping Lan Xiuyuan from going up the mountain.

Heavy rain poured down, accompanied by lightning and thunder.

The river swelled, and mountain rains washed away the soil, creating small mudslides that made everything around them muddy and impassable.

The branches and leaves in the mountains were battered and bruised by the wind and rain, and one could easily be hit by a falling object.

More importantly, the horses refused to go any further because of the muddy conditions. They were currently halfway up the mountain, with steep cliffs on both sides.

Seeing that none of the horses would move forward, Qin Kou'er immediately dismounted and walked to Lan Xiuyuan's side. She looked up and said loudly to him, "Fifth Prince, we can't go any further! If we continue in this weather, we'll encounter a mountain collapse! We must hurry back now."

Lan Xiuyuan looked at the rushing river, then at the raging wind and rain in the darkness, and suddenly a sense of heroism welled up in his heart.

Dismounting, Lan Xiuyuan shouted in Qin Kou'er's ear, "We're already halfway there! There's no reason to give up halfway! If Kou'er is scared, you can go back first! But I must see the wonders of this world. I want to see how those flying dragons ascend to the heavens!"

As he spoke, Lan Xiuyuan ignored Qin Kou'er, bypassed her, and walked upstairs alone with difficulty.

His subordinates quickly dismounted and followed closely behind.

Qin Kou'er stared at Lan Xiuyuan's stubborn back, her face stinging from the rain. Suddenly, she ran over, grabbed Lan Xiuyuan's arm, and shouted coldly, "Lan Xiuyuan! Are you really willing to risk your life for some scenery? Don't forget, you are the Fifth Prince! The grandson of the current prime minister, the heir to the throne with countless hopes! Do you really want to recklessly risk your life?"

Despite the loud wind and rain, Lan Xiuyuan heard every word Qin Kou'er said clearly.

He gazed silently at Qin Kou'er in the wind and rain, using the flashes of lightning to discern the anger and anxiety in her eyes.

For some reason, a thought suddenly arose in Lan Xiuyuan's mind: This is the real Qin Kou'er! The Qin Kou'er hidden behind her smooth and worldly ways. Just like that smile she gave him that day, every time her true self appeared before him, he would feel a flutter in his heart for no reason.

"Does Kerr really care about me?"

Qin Kou'er immediately frowned. What kind of time is this? This prince is still thinking about such trivial things.

"I'm worried that if something really happens to you, everyone in Qin Tian Ge will have to die with you!"

At this moment, Qin Kou'er really had no patience to argue or play mind games with Lan Xiuyuan. She had to get him back, even if it meant tying him up.

Lan Xiuyuan's expression showed a hint of disappointment.

He looked at Qin Kou'er indifferently, forcefully pried her small hands open, and said coldly, "Since that's the case! It would be best if Pavilion Master Qin left first, lest Xiu Yuan really dies and your Qin Tian Pavilion is dragged down with him!"

After saying that, he didn't look at Qin Kou'er again, and resolutely walked into the darkness.

"Lan Xiuyuan! Stop right there!"

Lan Xiuyuan, however, continued to stride forward as if he hadn't heard, his figure like that of a stubborn child.
