Lan Linxue was very satisfied with Shuanghua's actions, which were swift and effective.
Standing on the rooftop, watching the vibrant fireworks rise into the night sky, he was surprisingly eager to see what expression would appear on Qin Kou'er's charming face.
Finally, Lan Linxue was exhausted from all the commotion. He felt he should rest properly; otherwise, how would he have the energy to continue fighting Qin Kou'er when the imperial carriage entered the city tomorrow?
So, after taking a nice, relaxing bath, Lan Linxue lay on his soft, comfortable bed, ready for a good night's sleep.
However, just as Lan Linxue was drifting in and out of sleep, he suddenly opened his eyes and sat up abruptly. A wolf-like feeling told him that danger was approaching.
Turning his head, he saw Qin Kou'er sitting elegantly in the chair next to him, quietly watching him.
"You killed my men, burned down my headquarters, and blew up my main camp. Do you still want to sleep peacefully?"
Qin Kou'er's tone was flat, as indifferent as if she were saying there were no stars tonight, but Lan Linxue knew that she was angry!
Lan Linxue seemed completely unconcerned, a wicked smile playing on her lips. She shifted her body, bracing herself on the bed with her hands, not caring about exposing her muscular chest. She simply tilted her head with amusement and looked at Qin Kou'er, saying, "We've already done it, so what do you suggest we do now?"
Qin Kou'er wasn't in a hurry or angry. Instead, she smiled slightly and calmly asked Lan Linxue, "Did you think that by putting on a rogue act, I wouldn't be able to do anything to you?" As she spoke, Qin Kou'er lowered her head and tugged at the hem of her skirt, smoothing out the small wrinkles. "Unfortunately, you're wrong!"
"Oh?" Lan Linxue raised an eyebrow with interest. "Then I really want to see your methods! Perhaps they are truly unique."
Qin Kou'er chuckled and gave Lan Linxue a playful look, "You're just so mischievous!"
Lan Linxue was taken aback, then her eyes instantly turned icy: Who was she acting as a mother to? Why was she scolding her son like this?
Just then, Qin Kou'er suddenly flicked her long sleeves, cutting a candle in half, and lunged at the gauze curtains on the bed. The moment they made contact, the curtains burst into flames, and Lan Linxue was forced to jump off the bed to the floor.
Lan Linxue's kung fu was definitely not weak, and his mind was even more agile and unpredictable. The moment he jumped out, he had already drawn the soft sword that he had been hiding by his side. Before he even landed, he turned around and attacked Qin Kou'er, as if he were a demon.
Qin Kou'er sneered, not flinching at all. She stretched out two fingers and firmly clamped the software between them. "You can't beat me!"
Lan Linxue's face was now fully illuminated by the firelight, making her smooth features appear even more ghostly. She smiled slyly like a fox, "Even if I can't beat you, I can still kill you!"
With a slight flick of her wrist, the sword snapped in two, and countless tiny steel needles, each as fine as a cow's hair, flashed with an eerie blue light as they hurtled towards Qin Kou'er.
This was unexpected for Qin Kou'er. In a flash, she released her grip on the sword tip, and with a sudden flick of her long sleeves, drew a large circle, drawing all the steel needles into her sleeves.
However, the steel needles were too thin, and one of them still managed to pierce Qin Kou'er's wrist. Without making a sound, Qin Kou'er instantly sealed the acupoints around her wrist, and taking advantage of this moment, Lan Linxue turned around and was about to rush out the door.
Qin Kou'er's eyes finally turned fierce. She leaped forward, grabbing Lan Linxue's clothes with her other hand. Before Lan Linxue could escape, Qin Kou'er charged forward and gripped Lan Linxue's neck tightly with her small, white hand like a steel clamp. "If you dare move again, I'll snap your neck!"
Lan Linxue immediately froze. She smiled slightly, even winking seductively at Qin Kou'er, "Just kidding, why are you so angry?"
Qin Kou'er gave him a cold look, then grabbed him, kicked the door open, and walked out.
Lan Linxue quickly glanced at the situation in the courtyard: Qin Kou'er, that damned woman, really went to great lengths to deal with him.
At this moment, the courtyard was filled with Qin Kou'er's men, and Shuanghua and the others were actually falling under their blades.
Lan Linxue had devoted most of his men to dealing with Qin Kou'er, and hadn't paid much attention to his own courtyard. He really hadn't expected Qin Kou'er to find his hiding place so quickly, and to bring a large number of people to attack. More importantly, she not only brought people, but also a whole bunch of coffins.
"What? You're going to bury me and hold a funeral today? Then your dream of becoming the Crown Princess is going to be ruined!" Lan Linxue didn't forget to show off her toughness at this moment.
Qin Kou'er, however, struck an acupoint on Lan Linxue's back and then pushed her forward. Mo Hun caught her and bound Lan Linxue tightly with ropes.
Qin Kou'er quickly took out a pill from her bosom and swallowed it. Then she pulled up her sleeve, revealing that the hand that had been hit by the hidden weapon was already turning black. It just hadn't spread further.
Although Lan Linxue couldn't move, her eyes were filled with excitement. "Oh? You're injured? Hahahaha!"
Qin Kou'er didn't even glance at him. She simply took out an extremely exquisite little dagger from her bosom, flicked it over the fire, and removed the silver needle, letting the black blood flow out in the process.
Mo Hun wanted to come up and help, but Qin Kou'er stopped him.
While tending to her wound, Qin Kou'er asked, "How many of them did you capture?"
“Thirty-two!” Mo Hun said coldly.
