Chapter 71 Sick and Angry

"I'll get it for you then."

Seeing the smiling girl beside him, Zhou Chao's face turned cold, "Zhou Xiaomei, why did you ask me to drink porridge when I told you I don't want it anymore!"

"Just leave now! I don't need your help. I'm not missing any limbs. Are you mocking me?"

After saying that, he angrily threw back the quilt and got out of bed. He ran out without even having time to put on his shoes. As a result, he didn't see anyone when he went out.

I frowned and sighed, thinking to myself, "It's over. I must be angry again."

Seeing him like this, Zhou Xiaomei quickly chased after him, almost crying, and quickly explained, "I didn't, that's not what I meant. I just wanted to help Grandma Zhou take care of you!"

"Haha, no need. I've told you these three words several times, but you still come here every day. You're so shameless!"

Now Lin Qiaoxin is angry. If he had known this earlier, he should have chased her away earlier!

It’s all my fault for being too soft-hearted. I really made him angry.

Sure enough, after hearing what he said, Zhou Xiaomei's eyes turned redder instantly, and she couldn't help but turned around and ran away.

No girl could stand him saying that.

Zhou Chaofa looked at him helplessly and shook his head, "You know I have a bad temper but you still come. If that's the case, don't blame me!"

He didn't want this to happen, but it was really annoying that she always pestered him, and now Lin Qiaoxin misunderstood him again.

Thinking of this, I quickly turned around and went back to the house, put on my clothes and shoes, then got on my bike and left the house in the howling cold wind.

So not long after Lin Qiaoxin returned home, Zhou Chaofa followed her.

Seeing his flushed face, the anger in my heart subsided a little, but I still asked in a bad tone, "What are you doing here?"

Facing her unpleasant tone, Zhou Chaofa didn't seem unhappy at all. Instead, he walked directly into the yard, chuckling and saying, "I'll help, hehe."

Then he turned around and walked straight into the kitchen.

Seeing how familiar he was with the place, Lin Qiao was furious. She quickly walked into the kitchen and stopped him, saying, "We don't need your help, so go back quickly. You're not feeling well yet, are you?"

I was angry, but I didn't want his illness to get worse.

Knowing that she still cared about him, he was very happy. He smiled foolishly and shook his head and said, "It's okay. I'm much better now."

But I could clearly tell from the sound of his voice that he had a severe nasal congestion, so he must have a serious cold.

He frowned in dissatisfaction and said, "Look, you still say it's not serious, but your nose is already stuffy and your face is red. Why don't you go home and rest!"

"Then I'll go back if you're not angry anymore." Zhou Chaofa suppressed the uncomfortable feeling all over his body, sniffed his blocked nose and said with a pleading look.

"Who said I was angry? You're overthinking it!" Although she was indeed angry, she certainly would not admit it.

But the more she acted like this, the more worried Zhou Chaofa became. It would have been fine if she had yelled at him loudly, but now she was pretending not to care, which made him feel even more upset.

"If you weren't angry, why did you leave my house so suddenly? I haven't even said anything yet!"

"So I just chased after him."

She snorted coldly and looked at him with dissatisfaction, "Blame me? Did I let you chase me out?"

"You have someone taking care of you at home, so if I go there, I'll be disturbing you. So of course you have to get out quickly, hum!"

But after she finished speaking, she saw someone next to her actually laughing.

I couldn't help but frown and asked, "What are you laughing at?" He actually laughed, this was too much!

Looking at her increasingly angry face, Zhou Chaofa felt that if he didn't explain himself properly, he would be finished.

So I quickly explained.

"Are you talking about Zhou Xiaomei? We're from the same village, so we grew up together. My grandma went to town to buy some things today."

"Then she came to my house to help and just served me a bowl of porridge."

"I'll chase them away after you leave, seriously!"

Although he explained seriously, Lin Qiaoxin quickly turned her face away and pretended not to care, saying, "You, you chased that person away. What does it have to do with me?"

But this time Zhou Chaofa didn't get anxious. Instead, he smiled inwardly. Looking at her smiling face, he said slowly, "Are you jealous? Otherwise, why would you react so strongly?"

She immediately turned her head and glared at him with a pair of big watery eyes filled with anger.

"What nonsense are you talking about! Why should I be jealous of you? Are you crazy? Get out of here. I don't need your help."

After saying that, she quickly lowered her head and hurriedly washed the vegetables, but she didn't even notice that the vegetables in her hands were almost broken.

Zhou Chaofa saw that she was just angry out of shame, but he felt sweet inside. "Hey, I won't leave today. I'll stay here to help you. How about having hot pot for lunch?"

He couldn't stop thinking about the hotpot he had last time.

Lin Qiaoxin instantly became even angrier. She glared at him angrily, then lowered her head to continue washing the vegetables and said, "So you came to my house just to eat hot pot, right? I don't have time to treat you. My house is not an inn!"

Facing her dissatisfied tone, Zhou Chaofa continued to smile and explained, "That's not what I meant. You can punish me however you want if you're angry. Can you please stop being angry?"

"Zhou Xiaomei and I really just have an ordinary relationship. I didn't tell you I was sick because I was afraid of infecting you."

Lin Qiaoxin felt that if she continued to be angry like this, wouldn't she be just being jealous?
