He Ning didn't reply. He suddenly raised his eyes and looked at He Sui.
He Sui was startled by his strange gaze and touched his nose: "Why...why are you looking at me?"
He Ning's eyes, more divine than obsidian, were as unfathomable as black holes; upon closer inspection, one could see an indescribable storm raging within them.
He Sui then remembered how deep He Ning's feelings for Cheng Yi were, and quickly realized his mistake and changed his words: "I know, I was wrong, I shouldn't have said that about Xiao Yi."
He Ning said, "No..."
He just wondered if, when He Jing and Cheng Yi had their conflict, he hadn't misunderstood He Jing, would she have favored him as much as she favored He Sui, and regarded him as her favorite older brother?

In just two months, He Jing has become the core of this family. Without her, the He family would lose its soul, and it would feel like a piece of their hearts were missing.
Now, all they can do is keep telling themselves that in a few more days, these days will be over. After all, Chengyi is their adopted sister, and they can't show it too obviously, lest they hurt her feelings. Besides, Chengyi has already done much better than before, and they should take better care of her emotions.
Thinking about it this way, the He brothers felt much better and managed to regain their appetite.
Cheng Yi suddenly said, "By the way, Second Brother, Third Brother, Fourth Brother, Fifth Brother, and Sixth Brother, some classmates in our class are having a costume party.
